Pluto stations on the Galactic Center on Saturday March 31. I made a point to attend lectures on the Galactic Center at my recent astrology conference. The Galactic Center is the point the entire Milky Way, as well as our cute little Solar system, pivots around. The Galactic Center is the “Sun” of our Milky Way Galaxy. All the stars in the Milky Way revolve around the Galactic Center. Remember the t-shirts with an arrow pointing to a white dot saying, “You are here!” amidst a swirly photo of the Milky Way? There was a swirling dark spot at the top of the photo ~ that is the Galactic Center! During the week ahead, we have Pluto joined to the Galactic Center and stationing on it ~ looking at us and saying “Well?” At least from our perspective here on Planet Earth. Gonna be a big week!

The “Well?” asked by Pluto stationing on the Center of the Universe we live in can best be translated as “Ready to evolve?” “Ready to change?” “Do you get it now?” Of course, the premise of Pluto stationing on the Galactic Center and asking IF we are ready to evolve and change assumes a sentient, connected and conscious universe. And we are in a sentient, connected and conscious universe!

Think back to your biology courses about your body. All the different organs, made up of little cells, do their various jobs. There were the eye cells which saw (Mercury), the liver cells that processed and found a purpose for every thing (Jupiter), the small intestine cells which sorted and assimilated nutrients (Virgo), the red, iron filled blood cells that moved around, delivering oxygen, food and taking away waste (Mars). Most days, when the body is going about its business, every cell knows its cell job and does it. Every cell chats with the cells that stop by delivering oxygen or nutrients or who live in the neighborhood. Your body relies on the various cells to do their cell jobs and keep you alive.

If we expand that concept to our neighborhoods, where each of our individual bodies and families live, we see the same pattern. Mars delivers the food and takes away the garbage, our Jupiter’s (preachers, wise folks, leaders) process and attempt to make sense of it all while we do our Virgo jobs, tasks and live our lives. In my Medieval Astrology class, we were quite surprised to find out that the vast majority of us have chart patterns that respond to Virgo, slave, servant, or support system of the bigger collective picture. We are all cells in the family human!

Make it yet a big bigger system and the various countries around the world become organs in the world’s and our larger body. They might speak a different language but every country is part of the same sentient, connected and conscious picture. Perhaps we are even MORE connected in the days of internet, satellites and communication. Or rather, NOW we are consciously AWARE of the connection to each other that has ALWAYS been there (at least as far as the planets in the heavens were concerned ~ for they oversee yet a LARGER part of the system). After all, if we think back to our physical body, our nervous system keeps track of everything, monitoring our being, so in the larger system there probably IS some kind of nervous system connection in place that keeps track of all the other stuff going on in the cosmic body.

Back to astrology! Pluto stations on the Galactic Center on Saturn‘s day. In the old days, fight or flight were the options when a large dinosaur was charging at you. Your nervous system sent out an alert after your eyes noticed it or your ears heard it or you smelled it. (I imagine they MUST have smelled it coming ~ that is my Virgo talking!). Your body responded accordingly.

In the week ahead, keep your eyes open and pay attention to further developments in the story that started up in your life last Tuesday! Besides Pluto stationing on the Galactic center, Mercury and Uranus join up with each other and the wake up the North Node of destiny. Venus is quite active and causing a bit of a ruckus as she moves ahead this week. Venus IS polite about it but she also IS in her ruler Taurus.

Venus knows what she wants! Listen to her. Give Venus a bit of extra time this week ~ indulge in what you find Venusian ~ nails, hair, massage, facial, music, dance, singing, money, love, joy, beauty, investments, jewels ~ in those Venus moments you give to yourself and her the universe (or maybe Venus herself) will whisper in your ear. Tend to Venus and you will be surprised what happens.

The whole week builds toward the Pluto station on Saturn’s day, March 31. Aside from the Pluto station, there is a pile of other aspects Saturday ~ at least 17 by my count! Therefore, there is going to be a dinosaur or three stomping around on Planet Earth or coming a calling in your life. Now it MIGHT be a friendly dinosaur ~ one of your long lost evolutionary relatives! Alternatively, it might not be a very nice dinosaur. Use your senses to evaluate it and see what you see. Remember we are all connected ~ even to those darn dinosaurs!

Monday, Mars and Venus fight by declination. I do hate it when Mars and Venus are not getting along! There is a pretty long void moon in Cancer. Everyone retreat to your own corner, in a cosmic time out. Give yourself some extra Venus time. Think about your role in the matter. We are all connected. Sun’s aspect to Neptune suggests there may be unseen consequences for actions taken today out of ego or pride. Caution.

Tuesday, Mars trines Juno ~ some times people pick fights because that is the only way they can get out of something they do not want to do. If you want to fight with someone OR if someone wants to fight with you, notice it! The fight is NOT for the spoken or apparent reasons. It is related to the frustration from yesterday or to Venus not getting what she wanted. Suck it up. Take the high road. Insist, nicely. If you do not ask, you do not get.

Wednesday, our week starts to take off. Venus has a bunch of aspects today. Of particular interest is Venus talking to both Pluto and Saturn by declination as Pallas inspires her to be a bit more strategic in her focus. Focus on the bigger picture of where you want to go. Addressing immediate frustrations, while perhaps very SATISFYING, is NOT the solution. Think strategically! Big picture! Use that Mars in Aquarius energy to take a long view, a strategic view, and a detached view, of the complete process. At least as much of it as you can imagine! Mars is finally free from being tied down by Saturn’s and Neptune’s energy and blocks! Use Mars’ fine strategic mind in Aquarius! I know, he and Venus had a fight on Monday but they do love each other. So ask your Mars to get busy and take appropriate, conscious, strategic action.

Thursday, Venus continues to have heated discussions (arguments) with the Pluto and Chiron. Is it serving you? Is hanging onto whatever you are hanging onto helping you? How are you framing the argument? Your terms or THEIR terms? Sure, of course, you CAN continue to hold it up and show it off and say “poor me, poor me”. No, it was not nice or fun or jolly. Nevertheless, it is over! Now, you can take action and make some changes. You know I am voting for you to make the changes. How are you voting? Change IS SCARY!!! Often it is easier to stay same old, same old. What are you going to do?

Friday, Mercury’s square to Vesta says that old cocoon of yours does not feel quite right or fit any more. Change eh? Change is good! Make a list of what you want to change.

Saturday is going to be one heck of a busy day on Planet Earth. 17 aspects by my count (most days have 3 to 5), including a Pluto station on the Galactic Center. Saturday’s energy might even spill back earlier into the week depending on where all the stuff falls in your chart and life. Two focuses for the day. First focus: take the leap of faith and go for it. Say yes! It will take you where you are supposed to be going, evolving or changing toward. Second focus: remember you are connected to everyone else on this globe, your city as well as your family. Act with that in mind. Stay Conscious!

Sunday, there is a magical thing that happens when we change how we view things in our world. Today, Mercury collaborates with Juno and the North Node of Destiny and Uranus. The moment of change and evolution is upon you, us, the world. Once every 19 years or so! Take the leap! Go for it! Good LUCK!!! I wish you the very BEST in your evolution! My heart and the rest of the planet’s hearts are with you as you go forth into your life! We all depend on each other to evolve to be our very best as a cell in the cosmic body! We are, each one of us, rooting for you!

Mundane: Were you watching? Last Tuesday, George Bush offered Congress a take it or leave it deal ~ an opportunity to speak with Karl Rove and Harriet Myers and their respective deputies, without sworn oaths to tell the truth, without written transcripts and hidden behind closed doors. Their testimony would be about the firing of eight US prosecutors by the Alberto Gonzales, Attorney General.

Pluto in Sagittarius is getting ready to head off into Capricorn! We began our journey of Pluto in Sagittarius with the O.J. Simpson Murder trial where we learned myriad items, facts and options about our judicial system. Now, as Pluto’s journey through Sadge ends, we are looking at our judicial system with close, clear eyes once again.

If you are breaking the ‘rules’ of the game AND you hire, fire, or control the ‘independent referees’ (prosecutors) who police and enforce the ‘rules’ of the game AND you CALL those independent referees (prosecutors) to say “Call fouls on the other team (Democrat) and ignore the rotten stuff my team (Republican) is doing.” If they say no, you fire eight of the referees (prosecutors) who DO NOT do what you want them to do. Moreover, you DO promote the referees (prosecutors) who DO what you want and make the calls you want made. Is that fair? Is that how the judicial system should work?

So Pluto stations on the Galactic Center and asks us “Well? What do you think?” As in “Well, are you ready to evolve?” “Well are you ready to change?” “Do you get it now?” Of course, the premise and power of the judicial system is finishing its face-to-face evolution with Pluto in Sagittarius. What do you think is fair and just? What is your belief system about higher justice? How do you view Sagittarius and the perception of righteousness?

Of course, the boys learned during Nixon- Watergate, Pluto in Virgo time, not to tape their conversations or erase 15 minutes of tape. The boys learned during Reagan -Iran-Contra, Pluto in Libra, not to leave a paper trail or at least not have your gorgeous secretary shred the paper trail in the White House basement. We now get to see what the boys learned during Pluto in Sagittarius …

In addition, on Tuesday, the pet food poisoning story became known. In our increasing connected world, we rely on other parts of our earth’s body for our sustenance. The rat poison used by China on the wheat used to make the pet food gluten was originally developed and deployed to treat cancer. It was chemotherapy! Cancer treatment moved onto other chemical substances but the manufacturers continue to sell the chemicals for other fine purposes, such as killing rats. Heck, even my father (and probably some one you know) is eating and living on rat poison! Cumaden thins my Dad’s blood and prevents strokes ~ too much of it and you bleed to death, but with just enough you don‘t have a stroke.

Rats, Pets, Us, the rest of the world, Galactic Center ~ all connected. Remember: First focus: take the leap of faith and go for it. Say yes! It will take you where you are supposed to be going, evolving or changing toward. Second focus: remember you are connected to everyone else on this globe, your city as well as your family. Act with that in mind. Stay Conscious!

The Aries Ingress takes place on Tuesday and spring begins in the Northern Hemisphere of Earth. The Sun moves over the equator and heads north for the next six months. The Sun ~ in charge of our ego, evolution, development and consciousness moves out of sorrowful, emotional, picked on, weepy, victim or hide modes of watery, mutable Pisces. Sun moves into Assertive, Brassy, Iron willed, Bold Take Charge fiery Aries. Gonna be a lot of action in our world this week as the Solar energy shifts from Pisces to Aries and ends an annual zodiac cycle to begin a new one cycle.

You will be feeling more determined, fixed and strong after Tuesday as the Sun shifts hemispheres. However, there is a bit of a caution to apply to your actions and to suggest to those around you who want to take action. Mars, ruler of that exalted Sun in Aries, is in Aquarius! Now, I completely love Aquarians and the sign of Aquarius as much as the next person. In fact, Aquarius is my Ascendant‘s sign. However, I don’t like Mars in Aquarius ~ no offense meant to readers who have it! But, the point of the column is to help us get to know Mars in Aquarius energy (if that is possible) to understand and to work with the energy effectively, consciously and with a positive direction.

So, our focus for the week ahead is hanging out and getting to know the strong, vibrant, smart, airy, detached, know it all and, on a very bad day or as the need arises ~ quite cruel, Mars in Aquarius. Mars in Aquarius can be (and often is) a detached killer. You want to look for a person with Mars in Aquarius if you are hiring an assassin, a sniper to take out the leader in a crowd, a cool calm James Bond, a crazy fan/ nurse like Kathy Bates in Misery, a strategic thinker like Mr. Spock, a Hannibal who chews on folks with fava beans, someone who can fire your entire staff, peel off charred skin from the torsos of patients in a hospital burn unit or put body parts into bags at the World Trade Center.

Mars in Aquarius can completely detach from their feeling state to get the job, whatever it is, done. They detach from the situation, shut off their emotions and are fixed and able to continue to think, focus, move, and take action or plot. They are always several steps ahead of the rest of the emotional types who get swept away by the gush of feelings, the earth types who feel the physical pain and pause or the fire types who leap into rescue or hero mode to save the day.

Fixed Aquarian Mars can keep on keeping on regardless of what is going on around them. Every one ELSE is distracted while they turn their bright, blue, crystalline eyes in a detached, knowing, calm, cool and collected manner at their goal and move towards it. They focus, with deadly accuracy and intention, on their target. Mars in Aquarius can continue to do the job the rest of us CAN’T do once the other guy starts to scream in pain. Mars in Aquarius can also rapidly assess and exploit our weaknesses and vulnerabilities to take strategic advantage of them.

So why do we have energy like this in the heavens? Well, someone has to do it. There is a purpose to everything under heaven. We need spies, mathematicians, uni-bombers, astrologers, rock and roll, strategists, and Dr. Spocks. We need the detached energy of Mars in Aquarius to get the big picture of what is going on and how the world works without all that distracting or unnecessary emotional stuff! It is an energy that can be called ‘cold’ or ‘cruel’ on a bad day. However Mars in Aquarius does serve a useful purpose, when deployed well. However, while we people can apply consciousness to how we deploy our Mars in Aquarius, the energy can rapidly go wildly bad when stimulated by malefic planets. Think of Lord of the Flies, Animal Farm or Marlon Brando and Martin Sheen in Apoclaypse Now.

Now, the issue with the week ahead is Mars in Aquarius makes aspects to the North Node, Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter and Neptune. Now Mars has BEEN in Aquarius for a few weeks already ~ we‘ve been feeling that Aquarian detached influence. But now, Mars is going to be in charge of the Sun, after the Spring Ingress. Mars, crystal clear detached, cold and oh so brilliant is in charge of our consciousness. And, Mars is going to be facing off against the big boys, including all the nasty fellows, of the Zodiac in the same week.

So expect a bit of fireworks in your and our world. Expect cool, clear and calculated detached consciousness ~ and perhaps, if you are not careful, anger or violence. Expect major news in your life or a dust up, explosion, decision around a situation that has been building, brewing or bubbling for a while. It is time. Focus on what you CAN do something about. Focus on your tasks at hand. Recognize while you can DECIDE to do something, you might NOT want to take action this week but strategize instead. Look and decide if you NEED to take action while all about you are losing their heads.

Occasionally, astrology presents difficult pictures in the heavens. This is such a week. But found within difficult cosmic pictures, there are opportunities. There was an astrologer who explained to his king why astrology was a good thing, even if you know the coming aspects are difficult. The astrologer said, “Let’s say you hired an accomplice to set off an explosion or drop a large rock which startles the crowd. You and the accomplice know the explosion is going to happen. You anticipate the explosion and work through it. In the moment after the explosion, while the crowd is shocked, scared, screaming and afraid, you, by nature of your fore knowledge from the heavenly pictures, can take advantage of that moment in time.”

Recognize that WHATEVER happens in your world this week, the purpose is to move you to the next place in your life. Recognize that whatever happens in our world this week, the purpose is to move us forward to the next place in our evolution as humans beings. Don’t be afraid. Apply the Mars energy with detachment and move forward. Look at the situation with the cool, clear eyes of Mars in Aquarius. See what you see. Analyze what you see. Move steadily toward your target or goal. Don’t be distracted by the fire and brimstone, explosions or events that take place. Move towards your goals.

Monday, Ceres enters Aries so the Mars ruler found in Aquarius wakes, shifts Ceres focus, and alarms her with passion and fire. Up goes Ceres’ energy, flying into the fixed sky of the heavens, as she moves the creative, nurturing energy of earth towards war, vengeance and survival of the fittest. Governed by Mars in Aquarius, Ceres can be cruel. Life is hard. Sun squares Pluto and sets off the Chiron in Aquarius. Our communities can be and are fragile. Our vision or our beliefs can be changed if looked at clearly. Our tribes can be broken apart. Mercury has an aspect of brilliance to Jupiter. Jupiter has a flowing aspect to Saturn in Leo saying change your thoughts and believe in faith. Mercury in Pisces has an instinctual energy ~ it doesn’t always know what to do or say but it does know what to move toward. Move toward what calls you. Follow your instincts.

Tuesday, Sun enters Aries. Feels the Mars in Aquarius energy take over the reins of the Solar Chariot. Watch. Listen. Look for the change in energy. Cool. Detached. Calculated. Strategic. The Moon in Aries emotionally loads up all the big boy planets as it takes and mimics the aspects of the upcoming Mars aspects later in the week. Whatever happens today is the trigger for the events later in the week.

Wednesday, Tough day. Tough day on Planet Earth. Mars joins Pluto by parallel in the sky at the same time that Mars contra parallels Saturn. Parallels and contra parallels occur when two or more planets are at the same degree in the heavens relative to their latitude on the ecliptic and the rotation of earth. We notice parallels and contraparallels as they seem to be especially profound and have a major impact on our earth. Mars, Pluto and Saturn. None of them are particularly fun when they are dealt with alone. They are getting together today and hanging out. All three of them opposing and joining each other, just amplifies their energy. The degree of 16:25 latitude ( the entrance to the Persian Gulf) and all cities on or near 16 can be affected. As Mars, Pluto and Saturn form a Mars/ Pluto/ Saturn midpoint on the World Axis of 0 Aries, significant wars or fire works can be expected from earth (as in volcanoes or earthquakes) or to her (bombs or attacks on her). Additionally, the Sun joins with Ceres at 1 degree of Aries, adding to and igniting the World Axis and the Mars/ Pluto/ Saturn midpoint even further. Remember ALL the Aries planets and Aries points are ruled by that cold, difficult killer of a Mars in Aquarius.

Thursday, Mars in Aquarius by Zodiac degree opposes Saturn in Leo. Remember, our Sun just moved into Aries so NOW our Saturn in Leo responds and answers to the Aries Sun. The Aries Sun is ruled by the cold difficult killer of Mars in Aquarius. So, if we look at all the interactions between Aries planets ruled by Mars and all the Mars aspects stirring up the pot, we find detached Fire from the Air. Not a pretty picture. Moon in Taurus forms a t-square with the fixed planets in Leo and Aquarius to send a considerable amount of energy out into the empty Scorpio leg. Pluto, Scorpio’s ruler sextiles Pallas ~ so there IS a plan even you or I can’t see what it is right.

Friday, Mars sextiles Jupiter in Sagittarius. Once awakened, consciousness does not go back to sleep. Venus says you can’t go home again. Sun says be aware of who you partner with and why. If you don’t like them, now is the time to leave. Waiting will serve no further purpose. They are not going to change.

Saturday, Uranus in Pisces parallels Ceres in Aries brings a tidal wave of sorrow to earth’s fires or soothing rain to calm the burns. Saturn contraparallels Pluto setting off the world axis yet again! Additionally Sun and Pluto have difficult aspects with Saturn and Chiron respectively. Venus joins with Neptune by contraparallel bring sorrowful energy to the surface and tears of the world and her people. Renenber to breathe.

Sunday, Mars joins with Neptune completing our journey of Mars through the difficult energy of the big boys, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto. It might be a good day to have a good cry now that the energy has ebbed a bit. Moon in Cancer has emotional aspects while Mercury joins with Chiron by declination suggesting if you talk about it you will feel better. Pallas the pattern seer and strategist enter the sign of Pisces. While it might be hard to see how the pattern of the past few weeks leads to your evolution, especially if they have been difficult weeks, focus on the story elements that help your heart. They are there if you look for them.

Mundane: Karl Rove has Mars in Aquarius! Of course, Lee Harvey Oswald and Truman Capote had Mars in Aquarius too! But Karl, dear Karl, is the man to watch this week! The Chiron, Mars, Neptune and Saturn planetary lines for the Spring 2007 Ingress run through Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan as well as across the entrance to the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman. We can expect activity in that area of the world over the next season ~ and possibly this week with the declination aspects. As Mars is in an air sign ~ it looks like air strikes with detached fire bombs.

Last week: Valerie Plame appeared before Congress to answer questions about her CIA status on our very busy Friday. We learned about the manipulation of our legal system and the political firings of appointed state prosecutors who did not follow the Bush White House rules. I tell you, shake a tree and a scandal seems to fall out of it!

And, on a symbolic note, in Denver, Mary and Ray Smith found a new presidential dollar coin with nothing stamped on either flat side. It did have "In God We Trust" on the edge. What's missing was the image of George Washington on the front and the Statue of Liberty on the back. Instead, the Smiths' coin is just smooth, shiny metal. It happened a week after some “Godless” coins slipped out of the U.S. Mint. They did not have "In God We Trust" stamped on the edge. Pay off your debt and refinance your out of adjustable rate mortgages. Remember to breathe.

New Moon Eclipse March 18, 2007

Pisces 28:07 Sun and Moon

Choices, choices, choices! Under the partial new moon eclipse taking place on March 18, 2007 we will be facing choices in our lives. The eclipse is visible in Asia, China and India so those geographic areas and peoples on our blue and green globe spinning in the void of the cosmos will be exceptionally active, facing and making choices over the next six months. However, we ALL will experience the energy of the solar eclipse as the globe feels the new moon energy at the very last degrees of Pisces.

Eclipses at the last degrees, the dying or anaretic degrees of any sign, mark major final, finishing endings and major brand new beginnings. Eclipses at the last sign in the last degrees of the zodiac, like this one in Pisces, mark endings of major development and enormous evolutionary cycles in our lives, the world and the lives of all around us.

Think about it. Haven‘t you noticed a particularly poignant series of calls to move towards your future, even if you aren‘t 100% sure WHAT exactly your future is or HOW it will show up? Haven‘t you noticed that the old stuff ~ old patterns, old habits, old routines, old structures, old beliefs, old situations, old relationships, old people, old places, old things, old sacrifices, old service issues, old choices, old decisions, old work, and old feelings all want to shift into some sort of new form?

So let the old stuff alone. No picking at it or worrying about it or nagging at it. It is in the process of changing. Saturn is taking care of the old stuff. He’s large and in charge. Saturn’s got a plan and he‘s working his plan. Saturn is working on transforming your old stuff and getting it ready for your new life. Let the Saturn guide and direct the old stuff shift toward the new form it is going to take. It is one of those have a bit of trust in the universe and in your Saturn to do the right thing kind of moments. Leave your old stuff to be quiet and alone with Saturn. Leave your old stuff to sit by and with Saturn. Saturn has your back.

Now, there IS something you can do! You can work in tandem WITH your Saturn! Go and finish up what you can CLEARLY and CLEANLY accomplish ~ do the work that is before you. Do the work that needs to be wrapped up. Do the work that will finalize the current chapter and phase of your life. Shred the papers, organize the files, clean out storage devices, throw out stuff, clean up databases, release, restructure, revise, reorganize, revision, rebuild, renovate as Saturn continues to go backwards towards his station mid- April. Do your Saturn by finishing things up and letting the finished items head off out into the world. Pack the boxes, get the real estate agent over to check out the house, do work towards where you want to go. All these tasks are good uses of Saturn as he goes backward. Also do the Saturn things you love to do ~ the fun parts of your Saturn. Avoid the vexing and worrying parts of your Saturn. Let Saturn handle the worries, vexes and old worn out parts while you concentrate on the stuff you can do something about.

The other thing you can do is work with Neptune ~ dream, envision and make plans ~ life plans, business plans, career plans, and dream plans. Make a list of all the things that depress you about your life ~ what would you like to see or have change in each and every one of these areas?

The thing to remember is Saturn is still moving backwards so it feels like you future is not moving forward right now! That is how it is supposed to feel. Stuck, stalled or waiting. Inert. We are waiting. We are revealing. We are learning things. We are seeing things. We are letting go of our old patterns, problems and issues. Until Saturn moves direct ~ mid-April, it is a time of exposure and revision and recognition of what has gone on. You can’t DO anything about it but become more and more conscious. You can go and look into it. You can learn to understand it.

The eclipse features Mars in Aquarius just past his broken hearted tribal wound of Chiron and about to join with Neptune. The resonance of the energy asks us to move resolutely toward our vision of what we seek regardless of the support (or lack of it) from our community.

The three, Chiron, Mars and Neptune, are opposite Saturn in Leo ~ bouncing the energy back and forth between the planet of structure and the planet of illusion. Saturn co-rules the Aquarius planets asking them to examine their pride, their loyalties, their king, their belief in the rules that they follow. Chiron, Mars and Neptune offer a direct challenge to the Saturn in Leo saying “What deceptions are you asking me to believe in now?” Mars, flying high in cool, fixed, airy Aquarius asks us to detach, detach, detach. Look at things below you and before you with a different, 20,000 foot vision or a magnifying glass or a shift to see the optical illusion of Saturn’s reality.

Take a perspective that lets you see the big picture rather than the local drama of what is happening before you. It isn’t about the local drama. It is about the bigger picture of what the local drama reflects in your understanding of your life. Laugh at it. Delight in it. See the drama for what it is ~ a structure or belief that is not what it seems to be or used to be. It is a structure or belief that has out lived its usefulness or function in your life. You’ve actually evolved past that belief. Or perhaps outgrew the belief. It was, perhaps, your parents’ belief or society’s belief or maybe those rules you were taught to follow when you were younger. Now you are wiser.

The other co-ruler of the Aquarius planets, Uranus, is joined to the north node in Pisces. Uranus on the node says go with the flow. No worries. No stress. Just follow the energetic stream of consciousness and joy toward what you want. Similar to how an eagle catches a rising current of air and soars higher and higher, just ride the energy of the eclipse to see what you can see, soar where you can soar and ride the river flowing in your life forward.

Pluto exactly squares Ceres in Pisces who is joined to the new Sun and Moon. Pluto’s square to mother earth and her abundant creative energy at the edge of the world axis has a profound cleansing and releasing effect. You are at a turning point. You are at the end of an era. The Pisces planets are ruled by Neptune back caught in his argument with Saturn about the nature of reality in your world.

Do you see how your reality is shifting in the last degrees of Pisces? Your new reality is not yet born but your old reality is definitely past its expiration date. Is your old reality still good? Is your old reality spoiled? Sniff your reality to see if you can still get a last meal or perhaps a bit or two out of it. Be prepared to throw your old reality away if it has spoiled. The energy of Pisces at the dregs, the cliffside, perimeter, the conclusion of the zodiac promises a new beginning. Of course, first this major cycle has to come to a conclusion and then the new cycle begins. Help the alchemical process of transformation along. Light a candle to begin the dawn of a new cycle in your life while you wait in darkness for the ebb of dawn’s light to appear.

Commentary: ‘Light Breaking into Many Colors as it Passes Through a Prism’ is an image of beauty and shape. A ‘Prism’ in optics is a piece of translucent glass or crystal that is used to form a spectrum of light that is separated according to colors. The light becomes separated because different wavelengths or frequencies are bent by different amounts as they enter the prism and again as they leave it. The shorter wavelengths, toward the blue or violet end of the spectrum, are refracted by the greatest amount; the longer wavelengths, towards the red end, are refracted the least.

Oracle: You may find a need to break your situation down into its simpler components in order to see the full picture. Even though there are complex things that need to be broken down to their elemental parts, it is not as difficult as it might seem. This is vital to the success of the situation, and will lead to a greater understanding of the relationship between the many parts. Just be careful not to overanalyze, thereby losing the joy that’s inherent. Weekly Weather March 12, 2007

We move forward toward the second of our powerful March eclipses with the sense that a "new Me" is being created out of the many recent changes and all the activity going on in our lives. Yes, yes, yes, we ARE changing! The eclipse next Sunday is a New Moon eclipse at the last degrees of Pisces. WE will begin anew, with a new vision as we get to start the next chapter of our lives. Well, we aren't starting just this week but very soon. Mercury is still clearing his shadow. Saturn is still backing up to station and go direct next month. But after THAT, watch out world here you come....

Can't you feel how much your soul is aching to change your life in those very fixed areas of your chart? Kind of like a rubber band being stretched back to be launched into the air? The stretching back will be happening between now and mid-April when Saturn moves forward. It might tug a bit at your heart. Not to worry. You are right where you are supposed to be ~ suspended between action and inaction with a seemingly unbearable tension building in your soul. Yep, if you feel that soul tension ~ that is the spot to focus your energy and ask it to relax and be calm. Settle into the tension. Stroke it with love. Focus on it with compassion. Relax. breathe.

You know how when you first move into a new pose in yoga and your body goes "whoa, hold on a minute, what are you asking me to do NOW?" You are silent with your body. Your body looks at you. You look at your body. Then the two of you sit there and wait. You breathe. Your body figures out what to do. It adjusts. No shouting. No screaming. No judgment. Just support for each other in the new position.

The same thing will be happening to your SOUL over the next few weeks as happens to your body in a new yoga position. Your SOUL will be finding its new position, job, vision, or process.

Or perhaps you'd prefer me to use astrological terms ~ with the ongoing Saturn and Neptune opposition until the end of June and as Jupiter and Saturn move into their first of FIVE trines to each other ~ the tension and energy of the planets will create abundance in the form of what you are striving toward. Out of the tension of Saturn and Neptune's opposition will be born a new phase, job or position for your soul and your life. Jupiter will come along and send the new phase, job or position oodles and oodles of abundance. A new you will arrive. Actually, it is the part of you waking up to take your rightful place in the next part of your life. Look around at the river of humanity flowing around you. Get ready to jump in ~ the water's great!

Envision Saturn and Neptune shooting their particular brands of energy at each other ~ structure and dissolve energy ~ from either side of your chart, standing in the fixed houses of where you strive to be an individual or seek to join in a community. Where those energies meet in the middle is where YOU are found. You, cute, little cuddly you, getting all sorts of energy from the big boys, Saturn and Neptune, in the zodiac. You don't have to DO anything. You have to step into their energy, relax (like when you move into a new yoga position) and breathe until you calm down. You have to pay attention. You DO get to steer the energy a bit, if you'd like, with your intentions, dreams and visions. Breathe. Remember to breathe.

The point of Saturn and Neptune talking to each other and throwing a dream ball just over your head in a cosmic game of monkey in the middle is to get you ready. You can't catch that dream ball yet. But you will. Once you get the hang of how Saturn and Neptune work, you will figure out how to intercept the ball and have it for your own. The point is to take those individual gifts of yours and use them in the collective.

Remember, however, you can't be afraid to catch the ball and play. You got afraid of the ball back between Fall 1982 and Spring 1983 when you realized you could lose or be hurt badly by an out of control pitch from Pluto or Saturn. However, IF you don't play, you can't win! Gotta be in it to win it. And you are so much wiser now, as you soul is growing younger before your very eyes.

Next think back to the story from Fall 2005 through Spring 2006 when you were struggling with the fixed areas of your chart and experiencing the cosmic traffic jam, matador/ bullfight or trying to slay that snake headed Gorgon of a Medusa. Those stories will reappear in your life ~ probably in a new outfit and perhaps with new players.

However, WHEN the story from fall 2005 returns (and it will) Watch IT CAREFULLY, please. Breathe. Pay attention. You will see a completely different version of the story, if you pay attention. You don't have to DO anything ~ merely observe the repeated story. It is back to show you how much you've grown since the square of Jupiter and Saturn hung you up in 2005 and early 2006.

Monday, Athena sets off the point of the station of both Saturn (last December) and Mercury (last week) at 25 Aquarius by trining Juno. One of the lovely things about reality is we get to decide HOW we want to partner with it. WE can look at things as half full or half empty. We control that vision thing. WE control our version and thus our vision of reality.

I was at an astrology conference last weekend where a woman had lovely purple hair. Some one walked up to her and said "YOU have PURPLE Hair!". The purple haired woman replied, putting her hand to over her mouth and pulling her hair, "What? Oh no! I JUST dyed my hair black! That means my Purple roots are showing again! They grow out way too fast!!" Understand YOU are in charge of YOUR reactions to YOUR reality. My purple haired woman knew she was in charge of her reality. Maybe she DOES have Purple Hair and was dying her hair black to fit in at the conference.

Tuesday, Capricorn Moon amplifies our Saturnine version of reality. So move on over to Neptune's side of the opposition. What is your dream here? Can you do something towards creating it? If you gave Venus her options what would she change about how she looks at her wounds? If you don't like the way the furniture looks in your house, you feel free to move it around. What would happen if you moved the furniture around in your reality? Especially the reality that is feeling rather oppressive today?

Wednesday, Capricorn Moon still sits in Saturn's version of reality. Part of the trick of reality is we all agree to it. We all agree to abide by the rule of the game of reality we are playing in. The rules we established were to make sure we ~ what? What do those rules of yours do for you? Why do we have rules? What rules do you have that people aren't following? What rules do you want to break free from? Sit in Rule land today. Contemplate the rules in your life. Which rules work for you? Which rules don't work for you? Why are you still following rules that don't' work for you? Why are you following the rules you want to follow? Make a list of your rules. Understand which rules you want to keep and which rules you want to discard.

Thursday, we have the first of FIVE, count em, FIVE lovely trines between Jupiter and Saturn perfecting today and tomorrow. Rules. Back to rules. Mars and Venus are asking you today to look at the rules you live bu. Which rules are true to your soul? Which rules are some one Else's rules that you've adopted because you never thought much about it, or to avoid being punished or not loved or for whatever reason you follow those rules? I am not saying to throw out all the rule you live by. Just understand the source and origin of the rules you follow. Know the rules that govern your beliefs about things. When you change those rules, you change your reality.

Friday is a super busy day on Planet Earth. There are oodles of aspects. And it is two days before the eclipse. So hang on tight. Look at what the rules are. Look at the source of the rules. Do your trust the source? Is the source honorable? Do you believe the source? Controlling folks is easy if they follow the rules. Once you realize that rules can actually be optional or stretched or moved or whatever, you are free. There are, of course, consequences to actions taken by freed folks who don't follow the rules. There are also consequences to following rules that no longer pertain to you. The consequences, between your choices about rules, become apparent today. Choose wisely.

Saturn's day finds Venus entering Taurus. It is St. Patrick's day too! My Irish mother used to say that everyone wants to be a bit Irish, especially on St. Patties Day. All sorts of folks who aren't Irish wear green clothes on St. Pats. Why! Well because the rule for that day is GREEN! What do you want to be? Can you come up with a new rule or two, one you want to follow, that helps you move toward your dreams? What do you want to be a little bit Irish in your new life?

Sunday, the glorious Solar eclipse arrives. Partially visible in Asia's, India and China, the Moon casts her shadow on the Sun, darkening our earth. Hidden things will come to light today. Mercury moves back into Pisces. Move on over to the Saturn side of the pposition. What are your dreams. What steps do you have to take to start making them a reality. Moon in Pisces and Neptune will help if you whisper to them. Things that seemed so firm and fixed and locked down forever, will slip away as on a cloud. Do believe what you see. It is true. Follow that reality to a new set of rules for yourself. No, you are not seeing things. You are seeing another's reality. Perhaps a different reality than the one you operate under. Remember there are multiple layers and versions of reality. All of those versions of reality are simultaneously operating. What is your reality? Read the eclipse column on this site for more information on how to work with the eclipse energy. And, make sure to hang on tight if the ride gets bumpy.

Mundane: Scooter was convicted of four of five counts. Dick had a blood clot. And now we wait. I was thinking how difficult it will be to explain to the children about right and wrong if the President pardons Scooter. Well, right and wrong are relative. They apply in some cases and not in others. The rule of law applies to some folks but not to others. Ah well. Our collective reality says the folks in charge of enforcing and designing the rules are permitted to break, ignore or dismiss the rules (especially if they want to profit or protect themselves or their friends). We don't appear to have very many options to stop them if they are law breakers. I might send a bit of my extra Saturn/ Neptune energy towards changing that particular paradigm. Want to join me? Weekly Weather March 5, 2007

We ride an emotional roller coaster ride between two eclipses during the week ahead. Oodles of Venus in Aries aspects ~ seeing the nature of your desires as you bounce between being irritated if your desires are thwarted or shortly and partially satisfied if your desires are fulfilled. You want MORE! Oodles of Sun in Pisces aspects ~ getting conscious of your connection to your soul and what your soul wants and is striving for in this lifetime even as you might be frustrated by how what you want seems to slip out of reach, yet again.

Now, as often happens on Planet Earth, the obvious vehicle or method for us to work with the aspects will be the people, places, things or situations you encounter as these aspects form along your journey. The world can be mighty cranky and crabby, especially at the beginning of the week. However, once Mercury stations and moves direct after March 7, it will start to feel like things are finally moving forward. Forward perhaps but they are STILL not resolved. In all honesty, stuff will not feel resolved until Saturn stations to go direct mid-April. Yep, mid-April. In the meantime, do your Saturn and work on the unfinished projects, tasks, to dos and that stuff that is outstanding and undone. Once Saturn moves direct, your life is going to take off like a rocket. Until then, ignore the stuff you cannot do anything about. Work on the stuff you can have some impact on ~ that is where to focus your energy.

Focus on the stuff in front of you that you CAN DO some thing about. No worries about that big looming thing on the left, slightly outside of your peripheral vision, that you KNOW is lurking there, unresolved, sulking, or grumbling. You cannot do anything about it! Note it, acknowledge it, wave at it in the morning as you get in your car to drive to work. Move on. Go about your business even though IT maybe sitting there, silent and sulking! Work on the stuff you CAN do something about. Once Saturn stations to go forward, it will clear up too (mid-April). Until Saturn shifts to go forward, focus on the stuff which you can do something about. Finish up the projects, enter the data, write the thesis, do your damned Level 4, create the proposal, file your taxes, clean the closet, sign up for match.com, hire a temporary assistant, reorganize, redo, revamp or revise your outmoded structures.

The aspects ahead in the week are all about Projection! Projection is when the stuff that drives you crazy about yourself makes you simply crazed or MAD as HOPS when the other person does it right in front of you! Expect to hear polarized conversations about Projection all week long. Laugh (quietly) to yourself, as the person complaining about a situation is complaining about something they do themselves. Let them sit in their complaints. Do not solve it for them. Do not fix it for them. Do not do whatever it is that you usually do for them to make it go away. The only way IT is going to change is if THEY decide to change THEIR behavior. The only way THEY are going to change THEIR behavior is IF THEY get SO annoyed and SO frustrated and SO cranky, SO crabby, SO vexed that they TAKE action and change their life!

Second, LISTEN to What YOU COMPLAIN about! Someone is snickering quietly in the corner, saying to themselves, “Can you believe they are complaining about that? They are doing what they are complaining about!” Own what you are projecting on the others in your world. Listen to what you are saying. Sit in your complaints. Look at it. You are the only one who can solve it. You are the only one who can fix it. The only way IT is going to change is if YOU decide to change YOUR behavior. The only way YOU are going to change YOUR behavior is IF YOU get SO annoyed and SO frustrated and SO cranky, SO crabby, SO vexed that you decide to get off your butt, TAKE action and change your life!

As you move through the week ahead, look to see if you are taking the role of Saturn or Neptune in any given situation and projecting the other planet on to the other person. The tendency will be to sit in one planet’s world vision and throw stones at the other guy‘s side, vision or rules. When you find yourself in a polarized situation ~ move on over to their side or vision. Try their thoughts on for size. You do not have to buy their thoughts, or agree with their thoughts or bring them home to live with you like an abandoned puppy. But try their ideas on! Attempt to see what they see. You need to look at their view and understand it. Move over to the other guys’ position and hear their worldview.

The other thing to focus on is the feeling you have to make a choice. You don’t. You might feel like you have to make a choice but you don’t have to. Just sit still for a minute or two. The tendency will be to say you (or they or we) have to pick between this or that and decide RIGHT NOW. That is a false choice and possibly it is even a decision that is not needed. Picking between two choices is completely based on your current belief system that is trying to change. Let the belief system change. Give the belief system a couple of other choices.

Our world is SO noisy and busy and bustly. It is SO hard to hear what our heart and soul wants. Take time this week to be quiet and listen to what you, your soul and your heart want.

Recognize what the universe is trying to get you to do is deal with ALL the possible choices before you like a pages long Chinese menu~ pick one from this column, one from that column, a third, fourth, and fifth selection from the front, back and middle of the menu. Then throw in a bottle of good wine (which requires that you make a separate trip to the liquor store) to go with all those choices of yours. Right now is all about letting your fixed parts have more options and choices. Explore in your mind a few more options than you usually give yourself. You do not have to take them all home with you. You have to mull them over. You have to try them on, in your mind. You have to at least KNOW you CAN have black bean sauce if you want it instead of the sautéed garlic and broccoli. HOWEVER, IF you want Sautéed Garlic and Broccoli, do NOT be embarrassed when the waiter knows your order! Say, “Yep, give me some with Extra GARLIC please!” Get what you want.

So to summarize: 1. Work on what you can change; 2. Think of all sorts of options for the stuck or fixed situations in your life (even if you don’t tell anyone or do anything ~ just try them on in your head!); 3. Play the game called ’Spot the Projection!’ and have fun with it; 3a. Spot your friends and family’s projections ~ who is doing Saturn and who is doing Neptune?; 3b. Listen to your own life, complaints and worries to spot your projections ~ what is Saturn and where is Neptune? and 4. Remember to take deep breaths when you need to.

Life is moments and choices. Enjoy your moments. Thank your choices. Revel in them. That is what our lives are made of ~ those moments and choices we make in this instant. They become our future.

Monday, Sun joins with Uranus and Venus aspects the Nodes and Uranus. Change seats. Go sit in a place you do not usually sit. Try on a new point of view. Expect unexpected things. Surprise, surprise, surprise! Take Venus in Aries out for a hunt. She’s looking to go get stuff for you!

Tuesday, Neptune helps Vesta get a new vision of what your life can be. Write down your dreams upon awakening as you sit with your morning thoughts. Mercury is stopped dead in the sky at the place of Saturn’s station last December. Chat up all sorts of ghosts who come visiting. Re-visit the decisions you made back in December. What would you like to change about what you started to move towards last fall? Move toward a vision of what that change would be. Sun joins with the North Node and pushes off of Venus by contraparallel ~ for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Today watch for the reactions. Watch the attachments. Watch what you push out and pull in. See your impact.

Wednesday, Mercury stations direct on Saturn’s December 2006 Station. Saturn is going to pass this point of 25 Aquarius on July 28, 2007. Write a small bit about where you find yourself right now. Put a note in your calendar on July 28 to look for and re-read what you write today. What are you were thinking today and mulling on as Mercury stops on the point of your future? The revisions that needed to be made last fall are taking place and starting to move forward. Patience and dreams. Venus pushes off Uranus as Pallas pushes off Juno ~ both by contraparallel. Take time to see how the patterns and structures in your life were created by you to help you get what you wanted or feared. See how the structures have served you. If the structures no longer serve you, you can let them go now. Just open your hands and blow gently on them, as you would blow on a ripe dandelion head! Off into the wind those structures go.

Thursday, Venus, our gal of action and desire is exceptionally busy over the next couple of days. She is making aspects to the big boys in the heavens ~ Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune ~ flirting, chatting, laughing, and sashaying from place to place with bright red lipstick on her mouth and a smile coming up from her heart. Venus in Aries is bold, clear, strong and bright in going for what she wants and envisions. Light a candle (or a bunch of them) and fire up Venus’ energy even more to move forward toward your vision of life. Make the call, send the letter, take the meeting, outline the screen play, type your Level 4. Give your dream (and your life) permission to expand.

Friday, Venus continues her actions with the big boys, trining Saturn and sextiling Neptune as the Sun squares Jupiter. Consciousness. Options. Explore. Open. Choices. Visions. Projection. See how patterns support things created. It is not about right or wrong. It worked for a while. It doesn’t work much or well any more or isn’t the way you’d like it to be. Means it is time to change. The moon has an amazing number of aspects today ~ pushing you forward towards your dreams.

Saturday, Sun and Saturn get into a bit of a pushing match ~ see saw, back and forth, adjustments ARE required under this energy. The structures ARE dissolving, right before you, right in front of you! So what would you do if you knew then what you know now? How would you change your choices? The minute you think of THAT answer, the change has begun. Just follow it. Ride it like a the aloft and moving dandelion seed to your very own patch of grass. Put down spirit roots as the dandelion seed lands on a blade of grass.

Sunday, Venus has lovely aspects today with Mars and Ceres. It is your life. What do you want? Try on your choices. Sun has aspects to Neptune and Pallas. If it IS your life ~ what IS your dream? What patterns do you want to revise to have your dream come true? Mercury, now moving forward, trines Juno and asks you to collaborate with your dreams. Especially the lovely little cute dreams, glistening and sparkling in the corner. The Moon has a number of lovely aspects today, echoing Venus’ recent journey with Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune. Give your dreams a voice and vision.

Mundane: The eclipse brought to our attention the treatment of our wounded Iraq military soldiers lying in urine soaked beds in moldy, mildew, vermin infested hotels instead being treated well by our government for their service and sacrifice. The eclipse’s exposure did take out a few leaders! The news story broke ~ Virgo Moon of soldiers with wounded, hurt bodies in Pisces hospitals, with Uranus amputations. They were waiting to be evaluated and released from service so they could go home and continue their lives. First, the guy put in charge of Walter Reed for the last SIX months (since August 25, 2006 at the time of the FIRST Saturn/ Neptune Opposition) was fired by the Secretary of the Army. Then, the Secretary of the Army RE-APPOINTED the guy who’d run the place for the past four years! Then, the NEXT day, the Secretary of the Army resigned! Gotta love it. It was SO communicative with that firing, lovely RE-appointment and subsequent resignation.

So let us draw parallels to Abu Girab and New Orleans to push our eclipse’s energy a bit. We go after the lowest ranking or most recent person ‘in charge’. We scapegoat them. We say “oh bad, bad!” They fired Michael “Brownie” Brown (New Orleans) and demoted/ retired Janet Karpinski (Abu Girab). They sent the Gis who tortured to jail. In the meantime, we are still rendering and torturing prisoners in foreign jails and Gitmo. New Orleans is still a decimated city. If you will notice, NEITHER of those situations have improved much or changed at all.

Instead, we have to take the fish mongers approach ~ the fish stinks from the head. Saturn and Neptune and the eclipse energy are about being accountable for actions ~ our actions, their actions your actions, his actions, and her actions! Saturn’s veil of hiding his accountability is being pulled back further and further as he wanders alone in the sky opposed by the balance of the heavens. Going to be fun!

The eclipses are here! The eclipses are here! Our full moon lunation on March 3^rd is an exceptionally powerful eclipse where the earth stands between the Sun and Moon so earth’s shadow is cast upon and darkens the face of the full moon. Eclipses in ancient times (and today) portend the endings of kings, the fall of countries or leaders. When we look up eclipse in a dictionary, aside from the definition of obscuring a celestial body’s light we find 2. loss of light: a loss or blocking of light; 3. decline: a loss of status, power, or favor; 4. shadow: to block the light falling on something, or cast a shadow on it; 5. outdo: to outdo in achievement or become more powerful or popular than something or somebody. It comes to us from the 13th century via Old French and Latin from Greek ekleipsis, from ekleipein “no longer to appear or be present,” from leipein “to leave.”

Back before electricity was harnessed and turned into lightbulbs, when we could NOT control the big sky lights ruling our life, the Sun or Moon appearing to turn off and back on in the heavens, in the middle of the day or the night was very big deal! God, or whoever was in charge, said “Light be gone!” and, slowly, like a magic trick, the Sun or Moon were turned off. And then they were slowly turned back on. What cosmic magic! And looking around, after such a supreme light show, what do you know, voila, a king would fall dead or a leader be toppled or a country collapse in the next few months! Pretty amazing stuff those eclipses!

As the light of the Sun or Moon is removed from our view in the heavens, we find similar lights, in the form of male or female people, removed or turned off in our lives. Of course, now, with our astronomical wisdom, we know why eclipses take place and what they actually are ~ not some dragon swallowing up the king or the queen or the country or the cosmic lights but shadows blocking each other‘s light and our vision of them. However, we all know that shadows count! Especially shadows happening to the biggest and boldest objects flying around our world in the heaven.

One of the reason eclipses are so powerful is because they find a new or full moon aligned with the karmic nodes of destiny. Every day the Sun and the Moon pass the over the same part of sky. Where their separate journeys meet, the nodes of the moon are found.

Think back to strobe lights or spot lighting. The focused lights or pulses draw attention to what they illuminate. When the lights go off, we do not see it. When the lights come on, we notice what they are pointing to. The light in your chart is going to pulse on the part that is 13 of the mutable signs Virgo and Pisces as well as any planet found 13 in your chart. When our perception of light changes, how we view things is affected, and the changed light reflects the change in our lives change.

Second, the Lights involve the Nodes. As things go over either the north or south nodes of destiny, things arrive or leave our lives. We move along to a new place. Nodes and lights dancing together mean Big things. Important things. Stuff we care about. That is why those nodes are called the nodes of destiny. Our destiny literally changes right before our eyes as signified by the blinking lights in the sky from an eclipse!

The eclipse also features Uranus riding with the Sun and the North Node in Pisces. The moon in Virgo is sitting on the South Node. It is a let go and let go again moment. No fussing, or worrying or obsessing. There is not a single thing you can do except know things are moving toward where they are supposed to be going. It will slip right away, toward what it is heading for, AS IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO!

Third, if you are bold and brave enough, think back to what was going on in March 1989, when the eclipses set off this degree. Back then, the Virgo part of your chart was losing something it relied on like a habit and moving toward its Piscean soul‘s future. The same story, in a slightly different outfit, is up and dancing around in your life now. Time to let go of some old out worn habits and patterns to move toward a new vision of yourself and your life. See how much progress you have made since then? How time has ripened and wizened you? Revisit the story from that time (and the people from back then too if you can) and understand it in a different way through the lens of your life. If you are old enough, think back to March 1971 when you had yet another experience echoing the Virgo/ Pisces development of following your soul’s path versus hanging on to old habits, routines and rituals.

The point of the eclipse is to have you examine your fixed parts. The fixed parts of our chart are where we do not like to change, at all. However, change is part and parcel of life. We’ve been getting conscious of how our beliefs make our fixed parts of our life stay in ruts. The problem, or perhaps gift, of fixed parts is they are fixed and don‘t change much over time. We have to ACTIVELY AGREE TO CHANGE our fixed parts and EXTERT EFFORT to make that change happen. And Even IF we do exert effort, there is a very good chance our fixed parts will slip a bit back into their old ruts when left unattended for a while.

Our fixed parts and houses in our chart are important. They provide us with Stability! However, our fixed parts can and do need to change every now and then. Not very often, admittedly, but our fixed parts do need to change. They are changing now. The old trees in your forest are falling. The structures you have built in your life are dissolving. Your dreams are whispering that they want to take on new forms and create new images to move towards and wish for. So give those dreams of yours permission to change, run, evolve, do and be. Give yourself permission to widen your fixed parts a bit, to let your fixed parts stretch, to let that stuck, stable, reliable, dependable, predictable, fixed, loyal part of you go and run barefoot on the beach, take a month off or listen to your dreams.

The eclipse also involves a bit of difficult energy in feeling as if you absolutely, positively, completely have to do something! The eclipse will make you think you have to pick between this option and that option. I want you to come up with 17 other options besides this or that, before you choose. No limiting your vision of what can be or what your choices are. No feeling trapped into choosing between two unwanted choices, neither of which you particularly want, while Mercury is retrograde, Saturn is retrograde, and the eclipse is pushing and pulling at you emotionally.

Write down one more option. Or five more options. Or 43 more options or perhaps stop at 17. Just explore, open your mind, open your visions to what can be. Not just the options you see before you. More options. Give yourself permission to have more options, dream more options and let more options evolve.

Our world is full of diversity. Diversity is a good thing. We pack ourselves into ‘normal‘ when in fact diversity is better. Celebrate diversity. Eat food you don‘t normally eat ~ brussel sprouts perhaps? Or turnips? Do something you don‘t normally do ~ take a hike and make your leg muscles ache. Paint your finger nails bright purple. Or maybe shave off your hair as Britney did. Just a teeny, tiny change ~ nothing permanent. Just a teeny tiny change because you are alive, it is spring, it is the eclipse and life is changing around you. And see what happens when you do it.

Commentary: ‘A Powerful Statesman Overcomes a State of Political Hysteria’ pictures someone being able to take charge or reign in energies that have gotten out of control. Indeed, as there is some ‘Hysteria’ involved, something could have blown out of all proportion to reality. The ‘Powerful Statesman’ may be a person (or people) who is strong, charismatic, and energetic or has a powerful place in society, giving them a position of strength. This gives them a sense of authority, as others will often listen to what they have to say. Just one word from such a person can turn entire situations around with very little apparent effort.

Oracle: You may find that your situation is getting whipped up as people get carried away with the energy that’s around. There is a need to get the upper hand to bring about a stabilized outcome-to ‘Overcome’ the ‘Hysteria’. It is through the ‘Power’ of the personality, being the ‘Powerful Statesman’, that things can be resolved and brought to a state of equilibrium. Regaining control of one’s thoughts, psyche and emotions can ease tensions and bring the situation back to normal. Changing one’s mind about an issue that may have been overpowering can enable, a whole new view of one’s position in life to crystallize. Discipline and control will help in this situation; this can be on a physical, mental or spiritual level. The Caution: Conscious emotional manipulation and bullying. Misusing charismatic energy to sway others to personal advantage. Being aggressive, demanding and overbearing. Hypnotic persuasion. Propaganda. Misinformation. Using “political speak” to control situations or people. Emotional repression.

Commentary: ‘A Sword’ that has been ‘Used in Many Battles’ is ‘Now in a Museum’. It has most likely seen many struggles, battles and conflicts. It may have had to defend the honor of someone or something, and now it is placed in a ‘Museum’ where people can come and look at it and wonder at its history. The ‘Sword’ is such a masculine image, strong, heroic, metallic, sharp, hard and forbidding. The ‘Sword’ has done its job and now needs to be put away, somewhere where it won’t need to fight or defend. The fact it is in ‘A Museum’ points to the fact that it is a reminder of the battles of days gone by.

Oracle: When reminded of the ‘Battles’ of the past, hopefully we are influenced towards peace, but we are also uplifted by the memory of the strength of the participants, their bravery and valor. Mundane: The eclipse chart cast for Washington, D.C. puts the nodes angular across the Ascendant and Descendant. The South Node is on the Ascendant indicating a leader in Washington will fall, due to Virgo type details and habits of the moon or feminine. My money is on Dick Cheney, as he has major points activated in his chart. Will we ever get a verdict in the Scooter Libby trial?! I am on pins and needles!

The eclipse also falls near the USA Neptune in the 9^th house and across the third/ninth houses suggesting foreign instability coming to our shores and affecting our thoughts, beliefs, or illusions of how things work. More about that comes with the next set of eclipses in September 2007. If we combine the current eclipse with part two of the Saturn/ Neptune opposition taking place smidges of seconds in cosmic time (and three days in our kind of time) before the eclipse, we can expect major realignments in our world, our country and our vision of what is important in our lives. Certainly, the recent stock market correction triggered by China dumping 9% of our currency is making for volatile revisions in our trade (3^rd house) policies.
