Weekly Weather July 30, 2007

Okay, here we go! The time has arrived for the last phase of our individual evolutionary journey of Saturn through Leo. The week features the build up of the Saturn in Leo in harmonious trine to Pluto in Sagittarius as Jupiter, ruler of Pluto’s Sagittarius energy, pauses to station and turn direct in the sky on August 6. That will be the underlying thrum, thrum, thrum of the week ahead. And what a thrum, thrum, thrum that cosmic pulse will have. Kind of the pulse at a rock concert ~ where the bass fills your chest with thrum sounds so your innards vibrate after the beat has passed. THRUM, THRUM, THRUM.

Think about it. Saturn was opposite to Pluto at 9-11. Now, over the next week or so, Saturn forms the closing trine of his 38-year journey begun in fall 1982 when he joined with Pluto at the last degrees of Libra to teach you a lesson about partnership and relationships. Time to harvest the information and experiences you’ve learned during Saturn and Pluto’s dance through your chart! What do you know about the evolutionary nature of change? If you could talk to the version of you from 1982 and share the wisdom you’ve gained since then, what would you say to your younger self? Yes, there is one constant in the world! That constant is change! We all evolve and change. Don’t dawdle when difficult changes arrive as new and exciting things are right around the corner after them. At least, that is what I would say to MY younger self ~ so much time spent mourning the losses and not moving forward into the new stuff. What would you say to your younger self?

However, BEFORE THAT closing trine happens, Mars in Taurus, ruled by Venus retrograde in her least favorite sign will argue with Saturn in Leo. He’ll complain or perhaps have a temper tantrum about what or how he never, ever gets what he wants from the Lord of No, obstruction, restriction and limitations. Watch for excessive Mars energy! Watch for excessive IMPOTENT Mars energy. Direct Mars toward what you WANT to create and can actually get accomplished! Let the other stuff in your life be. Leave it alone. Don’t pick at it! Don’t shoot all your Mars energy toward the stuff you are NOT getting or is not to your liking or at the people getting on your last nerve ~ even if you are incredibly frustrated by them and the entire situation! Just take your Mars and go do or work toward something you CAN accomplish!

Mercury enters Leo this week. Finally Mercury gets some words to explain all the emotions swirling in and through him over the past few months during his retrograde journey through Cancer. Now, caution with that transition too ~ words moving from formless, fast moving river water into fixed, firm, flaring fire energy can burn the receiver of your words and you. YOU will finally find the words to express what you‘ve been feeling! THEY, however, have been on their own separate journey, working in their own reality. They are probably NOT even AWARE of what you‘ve been going through emotionally since Mercury entered Cancer around Memorial Day! You‘ve been doing that process as a silent journey while Mercury carried you over the emotions of family, connections, security, nurturing and feelings. So be conscious of that part of the story too. The journey has been for and about YOU, not them! They are on their own journey!

And, while you may THINK they are aware of what they‘ve done to YOU, actually, they have been working on their own stuff. Their journey has been for and about THEM, not you, THEM! They are on their own journey! They are probably completely clueless about what‘s been going on in your world. They happen to be a mirror, reflecting your stuff back at you. They were working on THEIR stuff that happens to nicely integrate with YOUR stuff. Now, it also means, they might call YOU and deliver a dose of fixed fire at your head or other vulnerable body parts once Mercury finds his voice. IF that happens, understand YOU are acting as THEIR mirror! Be nice. Take the fixed fire energy and thank them and the universe for its lovely version of how things work in our cosmic playground. Such a lovely cosmic circle we play in!

The best way to navigate this entire week is to keep the intent clean in your heart and soul! Clean intent ~ good idea. Not clean intent ~ going to teach them a lesson, gonna show them how they need to be, going to do it for their own good, going to show them I am superior to them and know more than they do ~ VERY BAD IDEA! VERY, Very, very BAD Idea! Clean intent. Crystal clean intent!

And, as is often the case, it is a week when the Sun and Mercury are exceptionally busy. So while you are busy evolving, dealing with the THRUM, harnessing your inner two-year-old toddler of a Mars having a temper tantrum, learning how to speak with fiery words instead of whining, the Sun and Mercury will be sending you all sorts of information! On a good day, weeks like this are life changing. On a bad day, weeks like this are life changing. So, as Joan Didion says in her book, The Year of Magical Thinking, “Life changes in an instant!” The change we’ve been working toward, struggling with, and pushing toward or away from takes place now, this week! And, it will, like most major changes, take place in an instant! How cool is that? And after the instant, we move forward to the next chapter of our life.

Monday, Sun has aspects to Mercury and Juno suggesting we see in a new way how we partner with our life to create it. Both Sun and Mercury have adjusting aspects to the node and Neptune. What would happen if you didn’t have your history behind you? What would you do with no ties, strings, or connections to the life you currently have? Imagine, you are sitting in a spaceship getting ready to arrive on planet earth ~ you have all the knowledge you’ve acquired up until now AND you can pick anywhere, be in relations with any one, or have any item you desire. Would you pick where you are now in your life? Would you keep the same life? What would you get rid of? Move toward the stuff you love. Let go of the stuff you don’t love. Imagine what else you’d like.

Tuesday, Mars squares Saturn. Sun pushes off from Vesta. Mercury has an adjusting aspect to the node. Move. Move. Move toward what you love. The beauty of living in the moment is every moment is new. What do you love? The world is going to be pretty darn cranky today as Mars squares Saturn. But you, focused on what you love, will be fine, just fine. Breathe.

Wednesday, Sun joins with Mars by declination. You know about watching when the rockets get launched from Cape Canaveral. How the rocket sits there for a while before slowly starting to move off the launching pad towards the heavens? That is the energy of today. Make the needed adjustments to move your own individual rocket forward off your platform. Hop in your space capsule. The only way to get things to change is to get over the inertia of a dead standstill into forward motion. Start your engines. Feel the flush of energy pulsing through your being. The fuels are being lit. The smoke is rising. The fires are burning. Strapped to a rocket you are! Your life is a rocket for your soul. It is getting ready to take off after the long journey of Saturn through the fixed signs helping you get clear about the mission ahead.

Thursday, countdown begins as Mercury joins with Jupiter by parallel and Sun trines Jupiter by zodiac sign. Jupiter is slowing to station and move direct next week, which is when you will actually launch. In the meantime, go through your checklist of things you want to accomplish on your next mission. Review what you’ve accomplished over the past two years. The thing that always seemed so unfair to me (and I am a Virgo!), was the astronauts got up in space and WORK the whole time. Why couldn’t they just sit and look out the windows at the cool view? Nope, they have to drive, sleep, exercise, do experiments, build the space station, deliver supplies, repair stuff and go on space walks. While doing all THAT stuff, they get to look at Planet Earth and the other things out there in their spare time. Same with you. You get to live your life while doing all the other stuff you do. Make sure to look around you today and appreciate what your life has given you. I almost forgot to add ~ Happy Birthday to my favorite Honeybee of a Lion!

Friday, Mercury has a working aspect with Mars. So maybe you can pivot the part of your life that you are working on so when you look up or reach for a new tool, you are looking out the space shuttle window at earth passing by below you. Maybe watch a sunrise or sunset while repairing the solar collector. Or shift your gaze toward Mars or the Moon as you record the scientific data. Sure, you have to work, but you also get to appreciate your surroundings and the very cool views from the space shuttle. Make a plan for when you get out to outer space for what you want to do to take advantage of the fun parts too!

Saturn’s day, the energy is starting to build. Uranus is starting to move you forward towards the next part of your life. Mercury leaves Cancer and enters Leo, finding his voice after his long, emotional silence of Cancer. The roar of the rocket builds. You can’t hear anything but the roar of energy. Venus pushes off from Uranus ~ WATCH FOR EMOTIONAL EXCESSES! They will spring out of nowhere. Recognize part and parcel of what ever you are exceptionally emotional about was to get you to here. There are no mistakes, just roads not taken or taken for reasons that don‘t serve us any more. They did serve a purpose at the time. Remember to breathe. Time for new roads.

Sunday, the energy is just going to build and build as our rocket gets ready to blast off tomorrow. Sun is opposite Chiron. For every force, there is an equal and opposite force, for every action an equal and opposite reaction. We live in a universe of duality. Please see how the situations in your life got you to the perfect place you are now. Mars in contraparallel aspect to Vesta says it is time to leave the comfort and security of home and hearth and head out into the big wild unknown. Think of all the folks who have contributed to get you to the place you are now, ready to blast off into the heavens and create your next chapter of life. In the case of the space shuttle, there were engineers, mechanics, computers, air force fliers, training, medical exams, and most important the dream of being an astronaut. In your life, there were parents, siblings, childhood, education, pets, lessons and loves that got you to where you are now. So where do you want to go next?

Mundane: Saturn is separating from Neptune so the clouds of Neptune are clearing meaning lots of information is surfacing for us to notice and absorb. Subpoenas were issued for Karl Rove and his assistant regarding the Justice Department firings. They were ordered to appear before Congress on August 2. Alberto Gonzalez testified before Congress. He lied again. Or as they said “was not entirely truthful or forth coming” in his answers to their questions. Congress has asked for a Special Prosecutor to investigate the Attorney General of the United States for perjury. Back during Watergate, the beginning of the end was when Nixon tried to fire the Special Prosecutor investigating the bungled break in. Two levels of the Justice Department resigned before Robert Bork fired the prosecutor. As we are NOW going to be investigating the Justice Department, it will be interesting to see how this one goes down!

Harriet Myers was determined to be acting in ‘Contempt of Congress’ for failing to appear before Congress. Did you know there is a jail in the basement of Congress? And, there was additional testimony before Congress regarding the thousands of Iraqi war veterans returning home to hearings where they are declared to have “prior mental conditions”, instead of PTSD from the war. Then, they are discharged from the military and no longer eligible for further medical care from the VA. According to Contractor testimony before Congress, we are apparently using kidnapped slave labor to build the Baghdad American Embassy. Gotta love it. Maybe we can kidnap a few more planeloads of slaves and have them rebuild New Orleans?

Bush’s recently signed executive order saying that he can confiscate the assets of any of us preventing the war in Iraq from moving forward were quite interesting to me. I am still trying to get the signing time for that particular order to see if it will be used or is a delusion. Part and parcel of our current American experience is an attention span of about 20 seconds. We forget that people and corporations can (and do) have long-term plans that are executed over time. We, as regular people, do not tend to think that way. We live our lives. However, others, especially those bent on certain goals or with major power complexes, DO have master plans that they are executing against. We need to remember that is part of THEIR story, even if we do not have the same vision of the world. Therefore, I find that particular executive order a bit scary. These folks sneak legislation into the Patriot Act and act on it before anyone is aware it is in there. Do not assume benign ~ it is not benign. It is a plan.

The Pat Tillman death story finally starts to have an answer of sorts due to a Freedom of Information Act filed by AP. Tillman had three bullets in his forehead. It appears he was murdered, fragged as they call it in the military, by his own men. No evidence of friendly fire was found in the area. Three bullets shot into his head from an M16 weapon about 10 yards away. His uniform and diary were burned. The army lawyers congratulated themselves in emails that they prevented it from becoming a criminal investigation. The general involved in the cover-up lost a star after failing to remember things over 70 times. Interesting times we live in.

Thanks for the friendly reminder from Ann in Florida via Malissa in New York! I was so irritated by the Scooter Libby pardon that I did not write up the solar return chart for the USA (July 4, 1776, 5:10 pm in Philadelphia, PA.) for the year. Then, Neptune, life, various trips and summer got in the way! Sorry about that! So, with apologies to any of you waiting for almost a month, here we go. A Solar Return is when the Sun returns to the place it was at the birth. There are two types of returns, regular and precessed. Precessed adjusts for the precession of the equinoxes (the movement of the stars backwards through the zodiac over time). I like to look at both and am always amazed at how they each, in different ways, reflect the future events.

Both charts indicate significant financial difficulties for the USA. Mars, ruler of the second house of money, values and finances, in both charts, is in its detriment, afflicting the public in significant ways. New York City’s (January 1, 1898, 12:01 am, New York, NY) chart is activated by regular solar return, suggesting all eyes will be focused on her and her fortunes. As New York is having Pluto in Sagittarius come to join her chart ruler and descendant ruler, Venus and Mars at 29 of Sagittarius in the third house, that makes sense. Excitement with the subways, neighborhoods, financial markets and gambling. Looks like financial shenanigans, illusions, delusions, gambling and/or drug issues will surface toward the end of July and beginning of August and again next March as Uranus passes the sensitive points.

The eclipse on September 11 will cause a major adjustment to people’s belief systems and security issues as it sets off the solar return’s Uranus, very active in both charts. Our beliefs and security issues will be further adjusted and amplified by a secondary part of news in February. Additionally, the February 7, 2008 eclipse’s north node is on the USA chart’s moon, implying further shocking news coming to light about our country.

As we are having a Uranus return for the Stock Market Crash from 1929, combining it with the solar returns, I predict the Stock Market will have a major, major crash ~ comparable in scope to the one that took place in 1929. In this case, instead of the unregulated margin accounts that collapsed in 1929, it will be the over leveraged hedge funds that unwind combined with the collapse of the secondary and sub-prime mortgage market. As hedge funds are highly leveraged financial gambles currently investing regular folks’ pension funds that would coordinate with major adjustments to the security beliefs. The crash will firmly entrench once Pluto enters Capricorn for good, next fall, but we’ll see the beginnings of it as Saturn enters Virgo and Pluto enters Capricorn in the fall.

On a positive note, it looks like Venus in Leo captured in a trine between Saturn and Pluto and the Sun inconjunct to retrograde Jupiter will soften the impact of these events via conscious adjustments to our values and beliefs about what we actually need to have. Nothing like a 2 year run through Virgo by Saturn to get us focused on the key components in our lives. What IS important to us? By restructuring our beliefs about our foundations and our values, we’ll find ourselves in a more secure position in the future. We do have a lovely trine between Saturn and Pluto in the chart. Evolution takes place in many forms, even countries can evolve.

Checking the solar return against the natal chart, we’ll find out what will be the nature of our nation’s Pluto return in January when Pluto enters Capricorn. While we have quite a while until Pluto reaches natal 27 Capricorn Pluto, the entry of Pluto into the sign acts as a warning shot across the bow of the ship of state about what we can anticipate. As Pluto resides in the second house of money and values, and rules the 12th house of undoing and secret enemies, those are the areas to watch.

Solar Return Neptune at the end of the second house, speaks to ongoing financial, value and fiscal confusion. As Neptune continues to approach his union with natal Moon, financial matters will remain confused, unclear and operate under the cloudy fog of Neptune. Moon as the ruler of the seventh house Cancer planets will continue to feel the approaching energy of Neptune in terms of our appearance to the open enemies and others in partnership observing us. Neptune on the progressed Mercury suggesting continued confusion around communication and the war efforts in Iraq. Neptune will be inconjunct to natal Neptune in the ninth house suggesting we will not be hearing things clearly around legal, foreign or religious matters.

Solar return Uranus in the third house indicates ongoing, indecisive, conversations or arguments (square to natal Mars in Gemini) about the appropriate approaches to take.

Solar return Saturn will be in the ninth house for the next year suggesting foreign issues will remain a restricting area for the country. We probably are not leaving Iraq any time soon. Still too much to steal.

Full Moon July 29, 2007

8:48 pm EDT

5:48 pm PDT

6:31 Aquarius Moon/ 6:31 Leo Sun

The end is near! We have two more lunations in the sign of Leo, the sign that Saturn has been traveling through for the past two years, since July 2005. Once those two lunations take place, wrap up, complete, and culminate we can say we are DONE with Saturn in Leo for the next 30 years! Wee-haw! All the Leos among us are MOST grateful and joyous about that bit of good news! All of our Leo houses in our respective charts are MOST pleased and thrilled to hear they are done wrestling with the planet of responsibility moving through the sign and house of love, joy and creativity in their lives. Now we come to the time to implement the love, joy and creativity issues you’ve been wrestling with. Time to move that love, joy and creativity out into your daily existence, habits and routines as Saturn starts to move through Virgo.

Of course, lunations mean the moon is involved in a dance with the sun. The moon means emotions. So expect emotions. The sum means illumination and light. It is a full moon. Sun opposite to the Moon. Full emotions that help illuminate things. The full moon has Mars approaching a square to Saturn after having finished a square to Neptune. Perhaps angry or restless or impatient or full of emotions? At the very least emotions with a LARGE dose of FIXED EARTH Mars adding his considerable energy to stir and stimulate the pot of the full moon. “Nope, I am NOT gonna, NOPE, NOPE, NO! You can’t make me! NO! You are not the boss of me!” says Mars in fixed, immoveable, clay, dried, baked earth Taurus. Or mud slide Taurus due to too much rain eroding the basement. Or an explosion of steam pipes and collapse of the infrastructure. Saturn opposite Neptune baby. Squared by Mars in Taurus. Try to get THAT energy to move towards what you want it to do if it doesn‘t want to move. Try and stop it from moving if it gets a full head of steam.

Mars is responsible for the “terrible twos” when we deal with toddlers as they learn about their power and want to explore. Around the age the “terrible twos” begin, we each have our first Mars return! Mars gets back to the place it was when we were born. And, that is when we learn to say NO to our authority figures! We learn NO! We hear the word NO! quite a lot from our authority figures (parents, babysitters, siblings, family, elders and teachers) as our chubby, sticky toddler fingers reach, busy, bustle and greedily for the object of our desire. “No!” is a big toddler word! No! is a big word under the full moon lunation.

The other day on a cross town bus, I observed a very tired toddler have a complete meltdown into an absolutely amazing temper tantrum. You know, the kind of temper tantrum where absolutely nothing is right or satisfying as they wiggle and kick, scre-EEEEeeeee-aming in your arms. He, his mom and his older sister were offered help by no fewer than 6 people ~ from the bus driver calling him “big man”, to complete strangers offering to take the stroller so mom could hold him. The little guy got our attention! Finally, he GOT what he wanted but was unable to ask for (Mercury is in Cancer making words basically useless at a time like this)! His mom stood up on the bus, him held tight and pressed against her in a full body hug as she rocked back and forth. Finally, his tear streaked face smiled as he nestled into her shoulder and sucked his thumb. He smiled. He was content. Or perhaps he simply was exhausted from being so fussy and cranky and irritable and was FINALLY READY to relax into mom’s arms. This is one version of energy for our full moon!

Yep, you might have to keep adjusting and wiggling and kicking and squiggling and shouting NO like that toddler on the bus until you find the right, exact perfect solution to your distress or dismay. You emotionally are having the terrible two experience of what you want. How do you get it when you can‘t even express it and perhaps don’t even have any words for it?

The other version of how the energy for the full moon shows up is knowing WHAT you want but feeling limited in your ability to ACTUALLY GET it. Yes, you are limited! We all are limited in some ways. We live on earth for heaven’s sake in a body with Saturn ruling our very skin!

But is it YOU that is limited? Or is it the situation before you that presents the limits? Or is it your PERCEPTION of the situation before you that is limiting you? One of the reasons we (or the universe) says “NO” is because the situation represents danger such as a hot stove that burns tiny fingers, licking that interesting electric socket or grabbing for some yummy looking, partially eaten food on the ground with other people’s germs.

The other reason we (or the universe) says “NO” is because we or they want to. You know, the “I said No because I said So NO!” kind of No. I always hated that No most of all ~ no further input, discussion or negotiation allowed. Mom, dad, or the authority figure rules.

Your job, right now, under the illumination and energy of the full moon is to take time to determine what exactly is going on. There are at least a few options:

1. You are over tired and super sensitive and need a nap! In other words, it is all about you and not a “real” no ~ just a temper tantrum kind of No! because you are mad as hell and don‘t want to take it any more. Take a nap!

2. The situation before you is ACTUALLY dangerous or bad for you. Listen to the No! Take appropriate action or inaction based on it. Use Aloe if you decide to touch the hot stove and burn your finger or decide to lick the electric socket because you like the extra juice running through your system.

3. The No is a “just because I said so” No. Your call. You have a choice on this No! What do you want? Can you get it some other way? Yes or No? Can we make a plan to get it? Step by step? After all, you ARE over 21 and able to make your own decisions. You are free to make your own decisions actually. Why are you asking permission of the person before you who is saying No to you? What or who makes them the boss of you? (That question applies even IF it IS the internal bossy voice of you or your inner mother!)

Adjustments are needed! Mars in Taurus is moving inconjunct to Pluto in Sagittarius. Time to evolve towards freedom as Saturn gets ready to leave Leo. Your inner toddler beckons. Except, now, you are a big toddler. An all grown up toddler who can drive and pay your bills and do what you want. Provided you know what it is that you want and don’t need a nap because you are over tired?

Of course, the real answer to the lunation lies in the story you have been working on for the past two years. So take a moment to do a quick life review of what has been going on in your world since July 2005. What have you learned over the past two years? Taking THAT information in your left hand, evaluate the lunation’s toddler energy with it. Use it like a pacifier or highlighter! Saturn in Leo has made you a cosmic pacifier! The lessons of the last two years have been to get you to where you are now. Facing the emotions you will face under the lunation is a piece of cake if you use the wisdom of Saturn’s journey through Leo’s sign. Do what you love! Yes, it IS as easy as that!

So take care of your emotional being, your inner toddler, on the full moon. Check in with your two year old. And, soon, Saturn will be out of Leo. You’ll feel a WHOLE lot better.

The moon at 7 Aquarius invokes the Sabian Image of

A CHILD BORN OUT OF AN EGGSHELL

Commentary: ‘A Child Born Out of An Eggshell’ shows something being ‘Born’ in a way that was probably never expected; it is ‘Born Out Of An Eggshell’. Alchemists saw the ‘Egg’ as the container for both matter and thought. This led to the concept of the Cosmic Egg or World Egg, a cosmic symbol in many traditions. The vault of space came to be seen as an ‘Egg’, and this ‘Egg’ consisted of seven layers, each enfolding the other, showing the seven heavens or spheres. The Chinese believed that the first man sprung from an ‘Egg’. This image is around us in many ways, from invitro-fertilization to human cloning.

Oracle: This Symbol signifies finding innovative ways of doing things, with new directions and new solutions. Find a unique approach that will give you the ability to find unusual and original paths leading to a new emergence. There’s the possibility of unleashing rebellious energy, so make sure that this beginning doesn’t start off with any precocious or “spoilt” attitudes. Many ideas or projects die because they don’t have enough initial capital or support or dedication to last the distance. It is important to provide nourishing environments in order to grow and learn, and nourishment must be provided to last through the course of the development. There can be an uneasy or unsure feeling about the viability of your situation. It may be something out of the ordinary or slightly odd. Don’t let this scare you; try to recognize the potential rewards and see what you can learn from it. This Symbol can also show prejudice or fear of things that are different. There may be the need to be more consciously tolerant towards people or situations no matter their origins or backgrounds. This can also represent the gestation of an idea, process or project that’s outside your direct influence.

Keywords: Transmutation. The birth of a new creative original impulse. Incubated ideas coming to fruition. Genetic engineering. Invitro fertilization. People beyond their time. Mutations. Seeking the unusual. The unexpected birth. The desire to have children. The nurturing egg. Emerging in a unique way. The matrix and the casket. The struggle to break free. Genetic engineering. Indigo children. Children that seem unrelated to their parents. Adoption.

The Caution: Being different only to follow fashion. Afraid of new ideas. Lack of support. Spoilt and naive attitudes. Rebellion. Uneasiness. Prejudice and racial stereotypes. Refusing to believe even what the eyes can see.

In the beginning, all the universe was non-being. It became being. It grew and formed an egg, which remained unbroken for a year. Then it broke open. Of the two halves of the shell, one was of silver and the other of gold. The Upanishads

First there was the Great Cosmic Egg. Inside the egg was chaos. Floating in the chaos was P’an Ku, the undeveloped divine embryo. Huai-nan Tzu

Ex ovo omnia.’ Everything from an egg. William Harvey

Man’s main task in life is to give birth to himself, to become what he potentially is. Erich Fromm

We are all cells in the same body of humanity. Peace Pilgrim

The shell must break before the bird can fly. Lord Alfred Tennyson

Do not compute the totality of your poultry population until all the manifestations of incubation have been entirely completed. William Jennings Bryan

The Sun at 7 Leo invokes the imagery: THE WONDER OF THE CONSTELLATIONS OF STARS IN THE NIGHT SKY

Commentary: ‘The Wonder of the Constellations of Stars in the Night Sky’ brings to mind the amazing sense of beauty that can be felt when observing the heavens. Just as our ancestors saw pictures in the stars, a ‘Constellation’ is an expression of how our imagination can see designs and symbols in things that we usually take for granted. ‘The Night Sky’ can create images that inspire us to greater awareness. Questions such as “what am I here for?” “what is life really about?” and “what difference do I (or can I) make to this world?”, etc. can come up as we gaze at the heavens. The clearer the sky and the darker the night, the more we can feel drawn to that vast space and are held in awe of it. Nature can often show us how “small” we are in the universe, and yet how important we are to “the whole”.

Oracle: The bigger questions are likely to be in your mind at the moment. Simple issues will be viewed against a backdrop of something greater. This helps to keep your life in perspective. This Symbol is about the need to see the patterns in what is going on around you. Rather than looking at each thing separately, step back and see the wider view-allow your imagination and intuition to create an inspiring vision that gives answers and direction to your life. Sometimes individual events have no more importance than to act as cogs in a wheel of a broader, more inspirational message. Looking at the sky can induce wonder at life’s possibilities. The stars are so far away, yet they feel large and close when the sky is clear and dark. Try to get out and observe the night sky. This can help to bring a sense of wonder and awe into your life and remind you of the beauty of our universe.

Keywords: Reminders of the patterns, integration and enormity of nature. The big picture. Observing signatures. A determination to “be somebody”. The Stars and Stripes. Feeling like a tiny fleck against the backdrop of the vault of the sky. Space travel and its wonders. Signs from the heavens. Answers sought through astrology. Astronomy.

The Caution: Ignoring the down-to-earth issues. Missing the small details. Only being amazed by huge things and not seeing wonder in the small things in life.

Watch the stars and from them learn. To the Master’s honor all must turn, Each in its track, without a sound, Forever tracing Newton’s ground. Albert Einstein

As soon as man does not take his existence for granted, but beholds it as something unfathomably mysterious, thought begins. Albert Schweitzer

The purpose of life is the investigation of the Sun, the Moon, and the heavens. Anaxagoras

A person should contemplate the workings of the universe with reverence and introspection. In this way expression is given to the effects of these laws upon his own person. This is the source of a hidden power. I Ching

I’m astounded by people who want to know the Universe. It’s hard enough to find your way around Chinatown. Woody Allen

Weekly Weather July 23, 2007

Weekly Weather July 23, 2007

It is a FINALLY going to be a fun week on Planet Earth! First off, it is a Mercury kind of week ~ oodles of Mercury aspects enlightening, brightening, and illustrating important nuggets of wisdom that you will need for the next part of your journey and life. I love when Mercury is active as he makes things so crystal clear in his own trickster, humorous way. Now Mercury is still in Cancer so he does not have words to tell you. It is a feeling kind of Mercury energy. Emotional, sensitive, and profound feelings will be flying around all those enlightening, brightening and illustrating moments that touch your heart and skim over your skin like a cold plunge in a lake on a hot summer‘s day. You might be a touch sensitive. That water can be cold if brisk. Mercury, nevertheless is delivering you messages about your life. Mercury will help you get clear, emotionally at least, about what you want to do next.

Additionally, Venus is stationing to go retrograde, in Virgo! Stopped dead in the sky, she‘s ruled by that illuminated and lightening fast Mercury who is making all sorts of profound aspects this week. Venus’ pulse is quickened even as she slows down to a stop and turn backwards in the sky. Now Venus doesn‘t much like to be in Virgo, as it is the sign of her fall. We silly humans expect love to be the rapture of Pisces, where Venus is exalted, with the soaring music matching our effervescent emotions as we merge like an ocean wave dissolving into our beloved’s arms. Instead, with Venus in Virgo, we get the day-to-day routine, dirty laundry and cleaning up chores of Virgo. I am always reminded of the song from Fiddler on the Roof, “do you love me?“ where the wife sings back, “for 25 years I’ve cooked for you, cleaned for you etc and now you ask “do I love you?“ That is Venus in Virgo’s theme song! She loves through her behavior and actions ~ criticisms included ~ of how you can maintain and make your (and her) world a bit more perfect and sparkly clean.

Venus is far from the Sun, about as far out as she can get and stopping in the sky, now finds herself turning back toward the Sun. Venus has been acting as a loyal Girl Scout, gathering data, noticing stuff and taking notes in her fine, precise Virgo manner. She has also been waltzing back and forth between Pluto and Saturn in her spare time. Venus is now turning back towards both of them, contemplating her next waltz through their arms. She’s spent a period of time spinning, alone, on the dance floor ~ out of reach of all of those silly planets who would tell her what to do. Venus is wiser now. She is going to share her newfound knowledge with Saturn, Pluto and the Sun in the months ahead (until October) as she moves backwards in the heavens, through and towards THEIR arms and past them to join again and yet again with them and the Sun. See, right now, she is kind of like Venus in Pisces ~ she is going to merge instead with the two big, dark manifestation boys of the Zodiac instead of the Oceanic of bliss of love kind of stuff. Much more to her liking. Oh, this dance of Venus in Virgo and Leo will be interesting! And, it will be a great deal more productive than that floating on the waves of love business that Venus in Pisces is about. This is a Venus that gets things done in a methodical, precise, self-improvement kind of way.

And Last but CERTAINLY, not least; Pluto and Saturn are moving to form a closing trine in fire with each other between the fixed fire of a hearth warming your home and the vision of passion and wildfires that make the animals and people run for cover as acres are consumed and transformed. We have been feeling the evolutionary tension build as Saturn and Pluto have been approaching each other. This week and next Saturn and Pluto will build up their respective energies as they approach their closing trine in fire that takes place on August 6. It is a one pass transit instead of a three part one so you need to get ready for it! It will go zipping by and evolve us all into a new form without any opportunity for negotiation. In an instance, life will change.

A closing trine between Saturn and Pluto happens once every 38 years or so. It is a biggie, even if it is a fast transit! I want you getting those emails or job search letters out, putting yourself out there to meet the future mate, and asking for what you want from Saturn and Pluto. As you have been “doing your Saturn” for the past months while reading this column, you‘ve hopefully gotten a good handle on him and what he expects from you.

You have also been getting over and releasing or revisiting the story from 1982 when the two big fellows joined in the sky and started making you being a bit gun shy about Saturn and Pluto and their power. Back then, they restructured an important relationship in your life. NOW you know what Saturn and Pluto were trying to teach you back in 1982 based on all the work and experiences you‘ve had over the past couple of years (or at least I hope you do). So, take your hand in your heart, (hold a rose quartz crystal to your heart if you feel afraid), be brave and bold and stand right up and talk to Saturn and Pluto about what you‘d like in your life going forward. They are listening. You’ve been doing your work. Trust the process. No despair. Ask.

I always loved Steven Forrest’s view of astrology in his book, The Changing Sky, that the symbols of the heavens themselves describe the perfect outcomes of the situations we find ourselves in ~ they describe what is meant to be if we are connected to our truest potential and don’t get in our own way and bollix things up. “Astrology “believes in” perfection. The astrological symbols dare to speak of the ideal. They challenge us to reach for the impossible, to make the perfect use of every moment. In that ideal world, each perfect moment establishes the basis for the next perfect moment, like a chain of flawlessly executed cut emeralds evolving through a succession of idealized geometric forms.”

Of course, we do get in our own way! All the time in fact. We live in the world of imperfection. We tend to hold onto how we have not done so well in the past or failed or loved and lost or whatever we get ourselves and our hearts and heads trapped in. We get fear based. We are not perfect. We get cynical and jaded. Maybe even depressed. We are so focused on the negative and harsh stuff about ourselves that we miss the opportunities presenting themselves at our front door or walking by us on the sidewalk if only we’d lift our head, smile and say hello to them.

As Steven continues, “Never forget the distortion inherent in the symbols themselves. In each instance, they offer a crystal clear picture of what is supposed to happen. Like an aloof, indifferent god, they describe precisely what you are to learn. And they are never wrong ~ at that level. Our task, as interpreters, is to make the symbols relevant. We must make them work ~ that is we must harness them to the task of promoting human growth.”

And my favorite line of his: “We must recognize that there is no mistake so fundamental that it can invalidate our capacity for self-regeneration.” You are the master of your life; magician and time shaper ~ shape your best life with your imagination and efforts.

So, forward we go towards the Saturn Pluto trine that the past few years of Saturn in Leo arguing with the other fixed signs and energies in your chart and the sky has been getting you ready for. Saturn in Leo has been helping you focus on what you love and what your passion is for and about. Coming up is the evolutionary leap of your consciousness into the next stage of your being. August 6th! Be strong and honest. Now is not the time for comfortable lies, sticking in your rut or being less than you can be. An evolutionary moment approaches! Get ready for it. And it does not matter how old or how tired you are or how discouraged you are, it is about living your best life. It is about imagining the course that your life would have taken had you been more alert and paying attention. Be alert! Another terrific and amazing opportunity arrives in the next few weeks! Watch for it!

Monday, Sun enters Leo. Sun and Saturn are dancing through the degrees of Leo together for one more time, these next 30 days, before parting for the next 30 years! Leo in every chart is what you are here to create in your lifetime, what you love and the house in your chart where your Sun, regardless of his sign and zodiac placement, always goes to replenish itself and find its life force. It is almost time for that cosmic report card which says how you did in Saturn in Leo school. Are you following your deepest passion? Were you true to your heart and your love? Did you speak of love, creation, joy and what it is that you believe is the MOST important thing in YOUR world and your life? Regardless of your family, your friends, your loves, your losses, your children, your boss or your dog ~ WHAT DO YOU LOVE? WHAT IS YOUR PASSION? How can you have more and more of it in your life? If you did that ~ spoke of it, acted for and towards it, and answered that question, you have passed Saturn in Leo school with flying colors. If you did not, please get busy! You have 30 days left to get the lessons crystal clear and straight in your life, soul, heart and mind. Take advantage of Mercury in his adjusting aspect to Jupiter to get with the program of your dreams and imagination.

Tuesday, Mars has an aspect of brilliance with Pluto and squares retrograde Neptune. Hopefully that lovely Taurus Mars ruled by Venus stationing in Virgo will help you see the patterns in your life and how they have led you to where you are right now. As Steven Forrest says, “Astrology is a product of the human mind, but life… life is beyond us. That mystery contains loopholes ~ miracles, grace, magic ~ that no astrologer has yet understood.” Push for your best life today as the symbols ask you to take a leap of faith as the Leo Sun has an aspect of brilliance combined with a gift to take you towards your destiny and your cosmic purpose for being here. Uranus joins with Pallas in dreamy Pisces starting a new cycle of seeing the patterns and being able to work them in more helpful and profound ways. Yes, that perception of yours is TRUE! Once it is seen by you, you are never able to not see it again!

Wednesday, there is adjusting energy today as Mercury talks to Chiron and Pallas talks to Juno. Now, what ever the situation is in your life, I want you to see how it was necessary for you to partner with it to learn what you have learned. The situation before you was needed to help you get to the place you are NOW in consciousness. You are about to break into a new level of consciousness. But you had to see, have to see, need to see (and do it without any negative judgment about how bad you are please!) how you got to this point in your life. Our life is made of choices. Perfect and imperfect choices. Our choices are driven and directed by many things. Would you make different choices knowing now what you know now? Good. Regardless of your answer to that question, ~ you have learned! That is what time on Earth School is for. Learning. And growing in consciousness based on the learning you’ve done while Saturn was in Leo.

Thursday, has a bit of an ouch to it as Uranus argues with Juno! Partnerships can fracture or fall apart today. Adjustments are needed for them to continue, if you even want them to continue. Sun has a bunch of aspects suggesting you see things in a different way than you used to see them. That is what life is about. Learn and integrate. Learn and integrate. Grow in wisdom. If you feel you need to “LEAVE” a partnership ~ ask yourself a question first ~ is it really a case of leaving or only making an adjustment to your expectations. What will make it a more realistic version of the world? Often we look outside of ourself ~ hoping the “other” will solve and deal with the problems we find in our life. Nope. Today we learn that we are in charge of our life and in charge of how it shows up. We cannot control the other guy. We can control our reaction to the events in our life. Leo Sun is trying to get you to see how you got to where you are now. Once you see it (and accurately assess it as well), you can make any and all needed adjustments to move towards what you would like next in your life.

Friday, Venus stations! On her DAY! How cool is that? She is stopping at 2:56 Virgo and is taking advantage of Mercury’s aspect of brilliance to Jupiter to say “ahhhhhh so THAT is what it was for….” The knowledge of how we create the situations in our lives by our choices is not always, what we want to see but see it we must. Do you see it? Do not judge it. Just see it. Do you see how you can change it? Do you see the opportunity for perfection, self creation, regeneration, assessment, nurturing and harvesting of the best you possible?

Saturn’s day, Chiron kicks Pallas. Well kick Chiron right back! Or at least think about kicking him. Often after we “see” something (and during this week we’ll be “seeing” things), we get down on ourselves. Nope. Not this time! The whole purpose of the past couple of years was to clear out your cosmic and psychic closets and get them ready for your best life. You got scared of your life in 1982. No more fear. Fear or love baby! Go for the love as Saturn in Leo has been teaching you. Mercury has spectacular aspects today to Pallas, Venus and Uranus ~ if you had not had the experience you had you would not have the wisdom you have now. That is what the whole thing was for. Now that you are wiser, you are ready to do what you have always wanted to do. So give yourself a nice, big smile of indulgent permission! Go do it! No one is holding you back but you.

Sunday, we have a glorious full moon between Leo Sun and Aquarius moon. Read the full moon column on this site for more information on how to work with the full moon energy. Mercury’s aspect with Juno following Uranus’ conjunction to her suggests you select your dance partners for the next part of your journey. Forward you go. Clean out some space in your home, hearth, heart and desk for the next part of the story of your life. It is almost time for it to begin. Imagine what it looks like as you go to sleep tonight!

Mundane: The Saturn Neptune declination contraparrelel was the culprit behind New York City’s steam gas explosion during rush hour last Wednesday. As Mayor Bloomberg said, "There is no reason to believe whatsoever that this is anything other than a failure of our infrastructure," of the steam pipe installed in 1924 which rumbled for a while before exploding. The image of a volcano of steam and dirt spurting out of the ground and steam rising 70 feet in the air was captivating. It created a huge crater in the middle of Lexington Avenue, right by Grand Central Station.

What infrastructure emotionally collapsed for you last week?

Weekly Weather July 16, 2007

It is what we astrologers call an “interesting” week on earth. Watch for the quiet moments of ‘clicks’ and ‘ah-has’ that take place in the week ahead. I want you paying close attention to what goes on this week. Watch Monday’s actions and emotions to understand the lessons life has tried to teach you during the past couple of years as the Moon in Leo occults Saturn. Watch Wednesday to see what Saturn in Virgo will be bringing you. Watch Friday for the opportunity to make last minute adjustments to get situations resolved before they crystallize back into a final form. While there are no “outstanding” aspects, the type of aspects during the week are all around illumination ~ the Sun ~ and ‘getting it’ ~ Mercury moving forward through his retrograde positions in Cancer. It is a settling energy of sorts ~ like after you repot a plant and water it for the first time. The water lets you see where the dirt isn’t quite even or full enough as it carries the loose earth into the hidden empty spots around the plant. You can throw a bit more earth in the gaps. Throw a bit more earth in your gaps this week. It is that kind of energy.

As Saturn and Neptune move further apart, we’ll start to see the structures that are changing or have changed in our lives for what they truly are. They are old or outdated or don’t work for us in quite the way they used to. They served us for a time. They served us very well in fact. They allowed us to grow and bloom into the person we see in the mirror. Now, this VERY week, as Saturn moves a full 2 degrees away from his opposition to Neptune, separating into the next chapter of his future, we’ll have the last part of our structures collapse. The EMOTIONAL parts will collapse! Structures collapse into a cloud of dust and emotional energy before us. Additionally, Saturn moves into a contraparallel aspect with Neptune on Tuesday so the emotional fall out from the trees falling in your life takes place this week.

I know, you thought you’ve been DOING the emotional work all along. Nope. You’ve been doing the get it figured out and deal with it emotional work ~ which is exhausting enough in its own right. This week, your emotional work is about the bigger picture underlying what you’ve been working on while Saturn went through Leo. It is about facing the “emotional consequences”, so to speak, of what you’ve managed to create in your lives. Cry if you need to. Understand your tears for what they are. They represent the energy of the last tree falling in the forest, completing the cycle of change in your life. All during a quiet little week in July.

Get emotional support for yourself. Be aware and watch out for those old addictions that comfort the soul loneliness and existential sorrows we each and every one of us face as being part of the human race ~ drugs, alcohol, food, sex, cigarettes, anger, depression or work. No hiding out in them! Feel the energetic shift for what it is. No using the escapes to escape what you have to do. Face your Saturn. Face the existential components in your life during the week ahead. Understand what your path in this lifetime is. Adjust to your path. Understand the despair it can bring as well as the joy. Embrace Saturn. Greet him like an old friend. Yep, and it all takes place during a quiet little week in July.

Monday, Venus argues with Chiron as Saturn and the Sun have fussy aspect between each other. Sun is in a 12th house approach to Saturn, kind of the cosmic blind spot of every situation. Can you see how you created this situation by either, as the Catholic in me likes to say, “Omission or Commission?” Let’s not talk about right or wrong. Let’s talk omission or commission. We are not worrying about sins per sea here. We are interested in seeing the consequences of your actions for what they are. The old you reap what you sow by the choices you make, or fail to make, in any given set of circumstances. Besides if there is no hurt, there is no sin. But this hurts! So there must be a sin in there some place. Go and look for it. Omission or Commission? All you have to do going forward is do it or not do it.

Tuesday, Saturn forms a contraparallel aspect with Neptune. This acts as an emotional and volatile opposition between the big fellows who have been cutting down and wiping out the trees in your forest. The physical changes observed here on earth often correspond to the actual zodiac oppositions of which there were three ~ the end of August 2006, end of Feb 2007 and end of June 2007. The declination oppositions are more “heightened” here on planet earth. They also affect the stock markets, emotion driven markets and matters. Yesterday, Moon joined with Saturn by declination and occulted him at the same time. Be gentle with yourself and all you meet today. We are each growing and some times growth hurts.

Wednesday, Mars is inconjunct to Juno suggesting partnerships and agreements between folks are under a great deal of stress. Adjustments need to be made! You are part of a bigger picture here ~ step back and look at it. Sun has difficult aspects to retrograde Sagittarius Jupiter so we THINK we need to be fiery, righteous and passionate but actually we want to crawl under a rock and have someone else take care of it for us. No such luck. You made the mess you are in and you have to fix it yourself. Moon in Virgo sets the stage for your upcoming future when Saturn is in Virgo. Now Virgo, on a good day, is about preparation, self improvement and methodical growth. On a bad day, she‘s only picky and critical (and correct but who cares!). While the technicalities of any given situation are possibly with you, the devil is NOT in the details. The devil is in the intent. Always the intent. Back to omission and commission.

Thursday, we continue with our Omission and Commission story. Omission is the stuff you leave out of the story because you believed it is hurtful to the person or that they would freak out if you mentioned it or because it doesn‘t make your side look good. Commission is the stuff you actually DID that you are not supposed to do. While a point can be made for the Catholic ability to get you caught in a sin coming or going, omission often seem a bit worse to my mind. Omissions include an element of betrayal which kind of wraps itself around the sin. Venus has an aspect with the node that highlights the omission part ~ Venus in Virgo, drawing to a station soon and not a gal to miss much will catch on to things today. Mercury’s aspect to Neptune is also unpleasant and reveals something unknown or not perhaps previously noticed. Sun has an adjusting aspect to Pluto where even the most indulgent person can be a bit prone to snap and get snarly based on bad behaviors. Chiron has a hard aspect to Ceres recently irritated by Mars’ conjunction to her. It’s a hard day on planet Earth. And, there is a big void moon so you can get completely carried away with yourselves.

Friday, Sun joins with Mercury by declination to make a profound decision (see omission and commission and the issue they represent in your life) as Mars says pull the trigger to set off an explosion with Uranus. Mercury in Cancer has a supportive aspect to the North Node ~ time to move forward. You’ve spent enough time talking. Action needs to be taken.

Saturn’s day, Mercury has aspects to Chiron and Vesta ~ suggesting a wound around home and hearth needs tending to. Can you make your home a bit more of a beautiful and peaceful place for your soul? Mars has a strong aspect of brilliance to Pallas. Pallas is riding near in the sky to Uranus so unusual approaches can be taken to get over any last minute hurdles.

Sunday, Mars has a profound war like aspect with Pluto by declination as he aspects the North node in a form of brilliance. This suggests your strategy needs to be pursued for whatever karmic reason your actions took you to this place in time. Now, remember Mars IS in stubborn, fixed, earth Taurus while Pluto is in over the top, self righteous and litigious Sagittarius. It is a bit about playing by the rules (or the intended rules) as opposed to saying it is your ball and you are going to take your ball and go home. As one of my teachers used to say, “You can sue whoever you want to sue, but it doesn’t mean you are going to win.” The Scorpio moon is a nasty one and going to cause fireworks starting early next week as she’ll pick up the energy from Mars and Pluto’s declination aspect today. Heels are going to dig in. Review Omission and Commission. Intent is where it is at ~ hurt is what makes it a sin.

Mundane: Can you believe dear Harriet Myers, attorney, former White House Counsel to the President, one of George’s office wives and a proposed nominee for the Supreme Court, completely blew off her subpoenaed appearance before Congress? She didn’t show up. She didn’t send her lawyer. Heck, she didn’t even send her regrets in a note or make a can’t make it fellas phone call. Gotta love those Bushies. They make the rules up as they go along! What do you mean I have to play by your rules? Says WHO? Going to be interesting to see what Congress does with the aspects taking place this week.

On the other hand, a friend sent me a wonderful op-ed piece from the Denver Post by an attorney with the US Department of Justice. There is at least one grown up in the administration! Please read it and send it to your friends as well as your members of Congress. http://www.denverpost.com/opinion/ci_6308408

New Moon July 14, 2007

New moon July 14, 2007

8:04 am EDT

5:04 am PDT

21:41 Cancer

Our new moon bright and early on the east coast, just after sunrise, is a doozy! I love powerful new moons for their potential and creative ability. They are a marker of a powerful new cycle of creation and beginnings. New Moons push our desires out into the world to take form like seeds do those joyous sprouts of life in spring.

When I was first learning predictive techniques, I said to my teacher, “So does that mean EVERY new moon is a new beginning!?” As we were studying eclipses, the kinds of new and full moons that we can‘t fail to “notice”, he responded, “Yes, but not that many people pay that level of attention to their lives and regular lunations.” We will always notice if the lunations fall on planets in our charts or are eclipses. But when the lunations land in a random house, stimulating the nature and purpose of the house, we can completely pass them by due to the hustle and bustle of our daily living and activity.

You are not going to be able to pass this new moon by! It is taking place in the Cancer house of your chart at 21:41 degrees of Cancer ~ starting a new story in that house and section of your life. It is right next to the world axis, suggesting a shiny, brand new beginning that you will be known for or will move out into the world in a public way. It is the FIRST new moon after the long Saturn/Neptune opposition we’ve been working with over the past year as our fixed structures have been dissolving and our dreams have been taking shape and coming into form. It comes at the end of Saturn in Leo’s journey and evokes the passion and love you’ve developed over the course of that journey for who you are and what you are here to do.

Venus, at the last degree of Leo, is joined to the star of the kings ~ Regulus ~ or queens. Venus speaks to our desire nature. Venus asks us to incorporate our desires and passions into our daily routines as she waltzes back and forth between Saturn and Pluto through now and the end of October.

New moon charts are evaluated based on their aspects. Neptune, of the long standing opposition with Saturn in Leo, is inconjunct the new Moon and Sun in Cancer in a Virgo type of format. It is a very tight inconjunct, suggesting a physical or bodily adjustment is in order and absolutely required on the new moon to take advantage of her energy. It is a great new moon to start or create a new physical or structural life style, diet, quit smoking, get more exercise or organize your life to create space for what you are looking to grow over Saturn’s journey through Virgo. It will require you to get up off your butt and DO something! But, is not a false or fake invitation. It is a get off your butt, take action and it actually HAPPENS due to the new moon‘s energy. If you take action towards making something happen and it will. In fact, it will take place very easily!

The Moon is out of bounds at 25:20 Cancer ~ adding a bit of a wild card to the lunation. Think of the out of bounds moon as a loving fairy godmother appearing and blessing your pumpkin and turning it into a coach, your house mice converted to coach men, as your rags are turned to a beautiful, sparkling gown with fancy glass slippers. You are, deep inside, Cinderella, right now. It is time for you to go to the ball. The energy of the moon has that feel to it.

Now, the CAUTION with the out of bounds energy combined with the Mars square to Chiron is the following conversation taking place: Cinderella says to her fairy godmother, “Oh the hell with all that stuff and your silly magic wand. Nice trick! But right AFTER the fabbbb-u- lous ball at the castle, I am going to be back here, cleaning out the cinders in this stupid fireplace and washing my stepsisters’ dirty laundry. All that pumpkin and sparkly dress is doing is making me hope for something that will never happen! And besides, even YOU told me I have to be home by midnight as that is when the magic stops! That means I don‘t even get to go to the after parties at the cool clubs! You know what? I am SICK AND TIRED of being disillusioned by my dreams and hopes and fancies NEVER COMING TRUE! I think I will stay home, right here, by myself, cry a bit and have a cup of tea made with my used tea bag as a lump of coal smokes in the fireplace!”

We like the story of Cinderella. It offers us a rescue fantasy from our lives and teaches us to believe in the future or dreams. Of course, we never do learn that the Prince picks his nose and farts. The fantasy ends with happily ever after. Now, we are each grown up enough to know that happily ever after is a fairy tale too! But what of the original story? What if Cinderella DIDN’T go to the ball? What happens then? The whole story rests on her taking that ride in the pumpkin coach and dancing with the prince at his ball and losing her glass slipper as she bolts out at the stroke of midnight to avoid turning back into a rag clothed Cinderella before all the people at the ball!

The purpose of the long, dry, Saturn opposition to Neptune was to disillusion you about the possibility of a fairy god mother appearing in your life and waving her magic wand to create a bugle beaded dress, and pumpkin coach to rescue you from your life. I know. You are disillusioned. The purpose of the Mars square to Chiron is to say “Nope, not in this life, baby, you are in charge of the cinders and that is all you can hope for!” Well, let’s revisit the choices and voices. Yes, they ARE options. You CAN give up and sit by the fire with weak tea, cold and shivering, crying as you sweep out the ashes and cinders every morning. There is no such thing as fairy godmothers in your life! Right now, it might feel like you are Sisyphus pushing your rock endlessly up the hill.

Want to know a secret? You are your own fairy god mother baby!

You’ve been sewing your dress, in secret, for the past few months after you’ve finished your chores, late at night. You‘ve been working on it when you are so tired your back aches and your most fervent dream is to go to bed. The light from the fire place is bad so it is hard to see to thread the needle for your bead work. Why did you decide to put so many stupid beads on the darn dress any way? Hand beading is such a pain! And that pumpkin coach with the mice driving it? Please! We are talking mass transit for you! A metro card and a city bus are in your future! That is how you are getting to the ball. Or perhaps walk? Well, you COULD spring for a taxi or maybe rent a limo but they are darned expensive and the driver is from a foreign country and you‘ll be stuck in a limo line FOR EVER waiting your chance to walk down the red carpet!

Not to worry. Pick up your needle and sew a few more bugle beads around your neck. Your life awaits you! It is time to get dressed for the Prince’s ball. Do what you love and you are living your best life! Start walking toward your next life and the Prince’s ball. Save the limo money for an omelet at the all night diner after the ball and the after parties. Besides, if you start NOW to walk toward your next life, everyone can see your beautiful, sparkly, beaded gown as you move while the sun sets in the west and Saturn leaves Leo. All the townspeople waiting by the red carpet, watching the people go into the ball, will be thrilled to see you up close and personal. Who knows, one or two of the townspeople might even order a dress from you for next year’s ball …. (remember to bring your dressmaking business cards!) Then, if it doesn’t work out with the prince, you can start your own dressmaking business, buy an apartment with a gas fireplace to stop cleaning out the cinders and hire someone to do the bugle beading...

Lynda Hill’s interpretation of the Sabian Image for 22 Cancer is

A YOUNG WOMAN AWAITING A SAILBOAT.

Commentary: ‘A Young Woman’ is seen ‘Awaiting a Sailboat’. She has hopes in mind that something special will either arrive or happen in some way. There is a strong sense that some ideal she’s hoping for will come to her if she waits long enough. Often there is delight in looking forward to a particular pleasure or event. However, sometimes it feels like one’s “ship” will never come in. The ‘Young Woman’ can be left waiting for a long time. She may miss other aspects of her life by not paying attention to what’s readily available. Viewed positively, the ‘Waiting’ can lead to a pleasurable anticipation of what, or who, may arrive. Sometimes we actually vicariously enjoy it in advance, dreaming of what rewards may come.

Oracle: You may need to be patient, and confident that what you want will come to you. However, there is a warning not to become dependent on an unreliable outcome. Also, if you are constantly looking out, then you are probably not spending enough time looking back or inwardly at the things you already possess or have ready access to. People dream of the perfect partner suddenly appearing, or the big win in the lottery that will rescue them from their problems or dull lives. The outcome may prove to be less than imagined. Often, the more we look forward to something, the less we enjoy it when it actually arrives. Bearing that in mind, we should draw to ourselves the things we truly desire through positive affirmations and a determined focus on a desired outcome. Clean the barnacles off your ship – the remnants of the past – so that new life, love and spirit can come to you. It is the level of confidence that supports our ‘Waiting’ that can determine the success of the outcome. When the tide changes, your “ship” may very well come in. Make sure you are rowing your own boat and steering your own course.

Keywords: Waiting for one’s ship to come in. Escapist fantasies that rob everyday life. Travel and the longing for escape. Living in the future vs. being in the here and now. Nervous anticipation. Leaving things to chance. Believing that things will come eventually. Opportunism. Rocking someone’s boat. Expectant waiting. Constant looking to the horizon. Boats. Tides. Creating a safe harbor.

The Caution: The bubble bursting. Waiting for Mr. or Ms “perfect”. Ignoring what’s readily available. Longing for that which may never come. Missing opportunities. Always looking over one’s shoulder, seeking better things. Boredom with one’s life. Escapism. Possibilities that are never “good enough”. Pining for the unattainable. Not taking life on. Delusions of grandeur. Things always being better tomorrow.

We love to expect, and when expectation is either disappointed or gratified, we want to be again expecting. Samuel Johnson

The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes. Marcel Proust

Weekly Weather July 9, 2007

Weekly Weather July 9, 2007

It is going to be a relatively busy week, even if it IS the middle of July and you think the planets should take a couple of days (or months) off. Mercury is stationing to go direct at two Cancer bringing old family and friend memories to the surface as he stirs up the ghosts in our lives. Venus enters Virgo and gets ready to station to travel backwards for the rest of the summer. She is starting to slow down in the heavens and bringing her detail oriented version of love and money energy into focus. Venus is triggering Saturn’s September entrance into Virgo for his two-year journey through the sign of service, habits, consideration and adaptability. Think of Venus as an advanced female scout for Saturn. She is gathering data and getting ready to advise him how to take action around love and money while he travels through Virgo. What kind of action is not clear just yet (and will not be for a while) but do consider the money, value, relationships and love situations in your life. What would you like those areas of your life to be like going forward? It is time to get ready to construct the terms of the deal with Venus and Saturn dancing together this summer. Be specific. The next chapter in your life is getting ready to form around two very important cosmic energies.

And with every cosmic step forward, we will have a cosmic half step backwards. Mars is our spoiler for the week ahead! He is making MANY, many crabby aspects to planets he does not much like or seek to work with. He’s in a sign he doesn’t much like so his power is reduced to fixed earth energy making him, situations, and actions VERY STUBBORN. Mars is not thrilled with his choices. Mars is cranky and crabby and wants to stomp around like a bull. No gentle chewing on the flowers in the field for Taurus Mars. I find it interesting that the Running of the Bulls through the streets of Pamplona takes place this week ~ it will be bloodier than usual as the bulls are going to be crankier than usual. Mars in Taurus is NOT in the mood to run through the streets chasing the foolish men who run before him and poke at him with sharp sticks. Watch out for the mad bulls in your life! They are NOT in the mood either. Or if you feel your own temper flaring and find yourself stamping your foot, digging your legs in, stiffening your back, snorting, shaking your horns and head or perhaps even mad as a bull, THAT is where Mars acting up in your chart. Be cautious around the energy, please. Tempers will flare as well as nostrils. Mad bulls are tough critters and do tend to break up those delicate china shops in our lives.

Now, why, after all the work we’ve done over the past few years first, getting clear on what we love and second on how to do our Saturn are we getting a cranky, crabby Mars aspect? Well, I like to think the universe has a sense of humor. Mars is rolling through our charts to show us how FAR we have come since the traffic jam of Fall 2005. Remember back then? Stuck in a cosmic traffic jam. Trying to figure out how to slay Medusa or avoid being the bull killed in a bullfight. Back then, it was Jupiter in Scorpio, Mars in Taurus and Saturn in Leo. Now Mars will be triggering all those planets again (and a few more) to see if you figured things out since Fall 2005. Mars is asking if you got it. Mars is asking if you are ready and willing to change your behavior to have a better life.

If you PASS Mars‘ test, you will get promoted and go on to Saturn in Virgo school to learn how to build on your various skills and craft, create and expand what you love. If you fail the Mars exam over the next few months, Saturn in Virgo will be much more difficult! A failed exam from Mars in Taurus means Saturn is going to be criticizing, picking at you, worrying and nagging you into doing your Saturn instead of increasing your skills with the polish and craftsmanship of Saturn. I know which version I want!

Of course, each of our Mars’ tests will be different as they take place in various parts of our charts. A few guidelines apply ~ move slow and steady. A bull harnessed, happy and well fed, plows the field and gets a lot done moving all the fixed earth into nice, neat furrows for planting. No charging headstrong into situations and snorting or shaking your horns! If you feel your neck tightening or blood vessels expanding in your forehead, that is the situation you need to address. You are going to have to figure out how to express yourself, even if it is not with the most perfect words. You cannot necessarily talk, but you can do! So do! Mars in any earth sign is about doing. Good food, sex and sensuality are fine distractions and diversions. Taurus loves “Meat, Malt and Mattress” so indulge your Mars in Taurus with those things when he is feeling out of sorts. And of course, remember to breathe. Mars in Taurus is primal. He fights to the death but he is not a thinking Mars. Use your other planets to help Mars work within the situation, consciously.

Monday, Mercury goes direct and the world starts to communicate effectively again. Yeah! Moon in Taurus gets all the planets Mars is going to affect emotionally ready for their journey by carrying his energy forward into the Sun and Uranus. Remember Mars in Taurus loses because he is SO predictable. Mars is in fixed earth after all ~ same restaurant, same meal, same order, same take, same approach ~ same old, same old. Well, please think of Mars as having a bit of an earthquake today. Everybody notices when the earth moves as the cups in the cupboard rattle and shake!

Tuesday, Mars aspects Jupiter and requests an adjustment to actions taken by Jupiter in Sagittarius. Jupiter in Sadge is about the higher forms of justice instead of the Pluto kinds of justice we‘ve been working with and in since 1995. What is your vision of what is right or wrong? How have you been or NOT been acting in accordance with that? Time to make the adjustment. Mercury’s journey through Cancer and the events of the past few weeks have pointed out to you where your core is. How off the track are you? Mars joins with Ceres in Taurus. You know how there is that “happy hum” resonating in your soul when you are on the right track? Seek out your “happy hum” today. Just a little bit of “happy hum“ is needed, but DO seek it out. Put on music that helps you hum and makes you happy. Music that make your body and soul joyous. It will help you find your “happy hum”.

Wednesday, Sun aspects Uranus in an opening trine. The story from March and June is back active in your life today. What part of the story do you want to nurture? What part of the story don’t you want to send energy towards? Water and hug the parts of the story that support your happy hum. No, you cannot go back ~ perhaps you do not want to ~ but you can go forward with the new understanding. Part of it is related to your old habits and stuff. Part of it is related to their old stuff and habits. You BOTH have to change to get what you want. Maybe can we call it growth? You both have to grow. They are NOT going to change unless they want to. You can change as you are in charge of your stuff, habits, routines, rituals and patterns. See the new pattern. See the old pattern. What pattern will it take to help you go forward? Look ~ look for the pattern. Do you see how you take these actions out of habit or perhaps fear or because you simply do it? Life is short. It goes by so fast. When you are 95, do you want to look back and think you did live it? You have the skills to do it. You have been developing them all your life.

Thursday Vesta goes direct at two Sag ~ setting off by inconjunct the Mercury going direct at two Cancer. Yes, you can stay nice and safe where you are. No risk, no worry. Perhaps not as much of a life but heck, it is safe. Alternatively, you can take a teeny tiny step, using wise Venus in the very last degrees of Leo to apply that fine mind of yours to a plan to get what you would like. (What you would love!) You are the only one who can say no to you. Now, I realize, you may have people in your life who will say no to you ~ but you brought them into your life for the express purpose of saying no to you. They are the No Sayers in your chart. Go toward the Yes Sayers. Say yes to yourself. What does your “happy hum” want to do? Go towards that ~ isn’t it a yes that happy hum of yours? Virgo calls to Venus as she arches in the last degrees of Leo and aspects Pallas. Our choices make our lives. Our patterns make our lives. We are creatures of habit.

Friday is a difficult day. Actually there is a good chance that yesterday was a difficult day too. Mars is a spoiler when he is cranky, crabby and digging in, refusing to move. Mars pushes off from Neptune by contraparallel. Mars is about to get past Neptune and see the world that Saturn has been seeing for a while. Once Mars clears Saturn (tomorrow), he is going to be mad as hell and not in the mood to take it any more. Alternatively, active and eager to go, Mars can plow that field in record time and get the list of tasks accomplished. One more day of cloudy visions and the fog clears.

Saturn’s Day: read the new moon column on this site for how to work with the lunar energy. This is a doozy of a new moon. Mars is joined with Saturn by Parallel and squares Chiron as Venus enters Virgo. You might find out something today that makes you very, very sad. While you cannot see the big picture (perhaps) right at this moment, please know that it is part and parcel of the evolution (or failure to evolve) of each of our souls, including the story before you. We have fate and we have free will. We get them confused sometimes. This is one of those free will days that feels like fate. Not really. Our fate is made up of choices we make using our free will. We call it fate when we do not like what it is. We made the choices to get to this place. It was an inevitable conclusion based on planet earth and the choices made in our earth bound bodies. We have arrived. We are here. Insanity consists of doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome. You have to change to have things change. We can see it easily if we look at our diet ~ if I over eat (eat more calories than I expend) my body stores those extra calories as fat. I am fat. To become thinner, I have to change something about what or how I eat. The change in my habit of eating makes my body change. Our food choices determine our body’s shape. That was easy enough. We have a bit more difficulty seeing it when we apply the same logic to our children or our partner or our careers or our mortgage or debts or dogs or friends or money or our boss or our parents or our car or our computer or communication or hopes and wishes or sex life or taxes. Same options ~ a set of choices made ~ and oops we have what we call “fate” if we keep making the same set of choices. It isn’t FATE ~ it is choices leading to fate. Even karma is attributed to the choices made in previous lifetimes! What goes around comes around. You will reap what you have sown today. I hope it was a good crop. If you do not like it, fear not and get ready to plant again, taking the wisdom you have gained as Saturn traveled through Leo.

Sunday, the Sun talks with Jupiter and they get to laughing over the story of your life and how you‘ve done it so far. I will quote Teresa of Avila, “Would it not be a sign of great ignorance if a person were asked who he was, and could not say, and had not an idea who his father and his mother was or from what country he came? Though that is a great stupidity, our own is incomparably greater if we make no attempt to discover what we are, and only know that we are living in these bodies and have a vague idea because we have heard it that we posses souls”. You are so cute. And you make it so difficult for yourself sometimes. That is why the Sun and Jupiter were laughing. The universe has been watching you and educating you on what makes your soul happy over the past few years. Time to learn to work skillfully with the gift of yours, your Saturn, your soul. Follow your happy hum and the music of your soul will lead you to where you are supposed to go (yes, Virginia there is fate!) Go, go, go ~ go to where your chart calls your soul to dance with the joy inherent in your being.

Mundane: Scooter Libby’s 30 months in jail sentence was commuted by President Bush. Scooter escapes jail time for being a traitor and putting politics of his Republican tribe above love of his country and her citizens. Thus begins the ending of Pluto’s journey through Sagittarius. It ain’t over for a while yet but that was NOT a good sign to my mind. Sagittarius rules the law, the other tribes (races), publishing as well as universities and organized religions. The beginning of Pluto in Sagittarius was the O.J. Simpson trial. During O.J.’s trip through the judicial system, we learned that a good, expensive legal defense team, with appropriate over the top media coverage, cute sayings “if it doesn’t fit, you must acquit” can offset a fairly solid murder case by playing the race card. The racist cop at the center was neutralized. Now, as Pluto in Sagittarius goes through the last degrees, we learned how friends in high places, abetted by the press lying (Pluto in Sagittarius ~ a lying, not free, corporate controlled press) could get your country into an illegal war by chanting about “weapons of mass destruction” and “we‘ll get them over there so they don‘t get us here” and never mention that we get their oil too! The leader of your tribe can help you out of jail when you betray your country. Scooter goes free for helping to kill thousands of American and Iraqi people and spending billions of our tax dollars on a war based on lies while Martha went to jail for selling a stock loser at the advice of her stock broker to avoid losing her personal money? Well, Martha WAS a big Democratic campaign contributor and fundraiser! The tribe that rules has the power. And don’t you forget it!

Every year, when the Sun returns to the place it was at the time of birth, astrologers cast a chart for that moment. Called the solar return chart, it describes, in a snapshot version, the upcoming year for the person or entity. It is where the phrase “many happy returns” comes from ~ many happy returns of the sun to the place where it was at the time of your birth ~ thus ensuring a long life. I am a bit too depressed by the Scooter story to read our USA Solar Return chart with anything but a very jaded eye. That is not good ~ a jaded eye that is ~ for an astrologer’s predictive skills. My nostrils are flaring. So maybe next week when I am a bit calmer. Take good care and watch out for Mars in Taurus!

Weekly Weather July 2, 2007

Happy Fourth of July! I always feel like summer has officially arrived when the fire works light up our sky! The Solar Return for the USA takes place this week when the Sun returns to the place it was when the nation was born. It will be a quiet week as the events taking place over the past few weeks settle into our being and shape our new reality. Tune in next week for an evaluation of the USA Solar Return in the Mundane astrology part of the column. Happy Birthday America!

The most significant thing to my mind in the week ahead is the fast moving transiting Finger of God, or YOD that takes place between July 3 and July 6. The apex of the Finger is the Sun in Cancer. Sun is ruled by the Moon in Aquarius as the Sun aspects Jupiter in Sagittarius and then by Moon in Pisces as the Sun aspects Chiron in Aquarius. At the same time the two legs of the Yod are receiving illumination from the Sun and still vibrating with the solar resonance, the Moon in Pisces joins with Uranus in Pisces.

Simultaneously, Mercury is coming to station, pausing at his degree of 2:29 to turn direct from Cancer retrograde ~ again our minds, on a distinct emotional nature will get the various vibration, even if we have no adequate words for what is going on inside of us. Moon rules the Sun and Mercury in Cancer as he travels across the legs of the Yod like a giant cosmic tuning fork setting off the expansion energy of Jupiter in Sagittarius and healing (or wounding) energy of Chiron in Aquarius. Gonna be a big one ~ a giant, cosmic tuning fork of vibration. Vibration of what? Illumination.

The key word for the week is ILLUMINATION. Emotional and intellectual ILLUMINATION. A vibrating, emotional cosmic tuning of an illumination. Remember sitting in a church as the organ music swells and your insides start to vibrate? Or when your belly hums at a rock concert? Your insides literally vibrate to the resonance of all the energy of sound flying around you. It is SOUND energy. The waves from the sound energy makes your insides move, vibrate and hum. Remember how you feel the energy as it lingers and slowly leaves your body? That is the feel for the week ahead ~ musical cosmic energy that is emotional, moving, hair standing up on the back of your neck, tears come to your eyes, life is changing and moving on to the next chapter of your life kind of Illumination energy.

Support the Illumination energy in your own world. Go and listen to music that gets your body, emotions, intellect and soul moving ~Sousa marches, opera arias, rock, classical, dance, hip hop or waltzes. Whatever! I want you vibrating your insides to match the cosmic vibration around you. Choose music that you LOVE! Play your beloved music so loud that your insides vibrate. When you do that, you are signaling to the cosmos that you are in tune with the life changes arriving to pick you up as the finger of God sweeps through the heavens. Think of the music you love as kind of a musical smoke signal you are sending out to the heavens, if you will. Your insides are going to be vibrating to your own cosmic tune as the Yod takes place. Support the heavenly Yod with music you love. You are completely where you are supposed to be. Yes, THAT IS YOUR TUNE! Cue the music. Your particular kind of music. Hum the tune for a bit, under your breath. You know, that part when the trumpets swell or the chorus erupts that makes you tap your feet, wave your arms in tune or sing out to the sky for all the world to hear. Feel your insides vibrate.

Yod’s, acting as a cosmic finger of our soul‘s purpose, point us toward where we are going next. When Yod’s in a natal chart get set off, we find our life changes. When Yod’s form in the sky, we figure things out as the finger points us towards the next big thing. We look where the finger is pointing. Move toward it!

So, combine the Yod with all the information we’ve been learning and figuring out over the past few weeks as well as with the Mercury retrograde stationing in Cancer, and take time to hum. Sometimes words don’t work. This is one of those times. Emotions swell. Hum with the heavens and get ready. Illumination. There is nothing like a giant cosmic spot light on your purpose in the universe as the music swells to bring a tear to your eye! You are exactly where you are supposed to be. Just say yes.

The second thing that drew my attention was Venus’s many month long dance between Saturn and Pluto. This dance began a while ago with Venus’ trine to Pluto on March 16, during the last eclipse. Last week, on July 1, Venus made a conjunction to Saturn but we were busy with other aspects so we kind of ignored her. Venus approaches and has a second closing trine with retrograde Pluto this week, bringing the story from March back into your mind and consciousness. She’s been moving through her shadow since June 23rd and will station to go retrograde on July 27th. She has a nice long retrograde and then moves direct. Venus dances to the music of Leo and Virgo with the energy of transformation, passion, routine and structure in the months ahead. She finishes her dance with Pluto on October 3rd and with Saturn on October 13th.

Before October, Venus will pass herself back and forth between Saturn and Pluto like a passionate tango dancer. With the two dark swarthy fellows on each arm or at either side, her skirt swirls in lovely, passionate cherry colored, floating red. Back and forth she goes, between Saturn and Pluto. Who will she end up with? What does she want? What is her true calling? Whose arms will she be in when the music stops and the band says it is time to go home in October? Well we know that answer (Saturn) but lets pretend for a moment we don‘t. Venus is invoking, evoking, flirting, charming and teasing the two most powerful planets out there! She’s dancing like crazy back and forth between them. And, when Venus flirts and turns on the charm, the world, as well as Pluto and Saturn swoon. Venus WILL leave the party with Saturn in Virgo as that is her last aspect. In the meantime, she’s flirting with Pluto for all she‘s worth. And Pluto is paying attention!

So how does that energy show up in your life? Well it will FEEL like you have to make a choice ~ as many things do. Pluto, Saturn and Venus will be acting out a drama or scenario in your life. Assign the roles to the situation unfolding before you. While Pluto is charming and all that, he’s not the kind of fellow you necessarily want to build a life with. Pluto likes the chase, not the capture. Pluto’s manipulative on a bad day. It’s about the power, triangles and the drama with him. It isn’t an equal relationship, at least from his point of view. And it never will be if he has anything to say about it.

Saturn, on the other hand, IS the kind of fellow you CAN build a life with. However, Saturn can be a bit stodgy and a stick in the mud. He’s fearful. He has his routines and those rituals that he likes and simply HAS to do. He isn’t always amenable to change. Pluto, on the other hand, will kiss your hand and move those sultry, delicious kisses up your arm like Gomez did to Morticia, slowly taking your clothes off and making your knees buckle. Saturn will check his email before he brushes his teeth, climbs into bed and pats the pillow next to him. Life is more about routine and work with Saturn than passion of Pluto when you get right down to it. Well the passion CAN be there with Saturn, but the work part is right underneath. Saturn OR Pluto.

Wait. Stop a minute. Let’s reframe that! Please make it Saturn AND Pluto. You need both! You need the passion and the routine! They are BOTH part and parcel of who you are. You have BOTH Pluto and Saturn in your chart! And, in the months between now and October, your job is to figure out how to have both of them in your life. (Hint: It is about doing your Routine Saturn with Passion. It is about making your Plutonian Passion a bit more Routine.) You want both Pluto AND Saturn. It isn’t an either or. So watch for the Pluto, Saturn and Venus dance taking place in your life starting this week. Isn’t astrology wonderful?

Monday, Chiron has a gift of grace with Vesta as Mars has a double gift of grace with Jupiter ~ these aspects imply a settling into the joy or comfort or good parts of your life. An appreciation of what you’ve created and what it does for you. An understanding of where you’ve been and how it got you to where you are now. A vision of where you’d like to go using the base you‘ve made thus far in your life. Moon squares Mars from the sign of Aquarius ~ surely if you take the 20,000 foot overview, you can see the patterns unfolding beneath you as you fly over the landscape of your life. Go ahead, soar a bit.

Tuesday, Sun triggers the Jupiter leg of the Finger of God ~ adjust your understanding. It is a Virgo kind of energy that Sun and Jupiter inconjunct. There is some physical area that you can clear up or address. Notice how you got here. Be kind to yourself but be clear. Moon wakes up the Saturn and Neptune opposition so a few tears may be in order. It is a sentimental energy although perhaps a bit sad. If you knew then what you know now, what would you tell yourself? Sun waking up Jupiter says, this is the direction in which you’d like to move going forward ~ expansion or abundance is which way? Take note of it. Remember to breathe.

Wednesday, Happy Fourth of July. Happy Birthday America! Moon is in Pisces most of the waking hours of the day. Watch or record what your dreams were about as Moon was busy with Pluto as you slept last night exploring the things you noticed and experienced over the past few days and weeks. The balance of the day has easy aspects as conversation and activity and corn on the cob and watermelon rule the day! Oh, and don’t forget the fireworks!

Thursday, Pallas stations to go retrograde on the degree of the Uranus station last week and the eclipse next September. Pallas is in charge of our strategies, theories and approach to things, especially legal and business matters. If you have a matter that is unresolved or dawdling along, it will likely fall apart today with the combination of the Mercury station at 2 Cancer, the Pallas station and the Solar Finger of God. Wasn’t meant to be or the lesson needs a bit of reinforcement or there are other plans for you!

Friday, Sun creates the second leg of the Finger of God, a Scorpio kind of leg, suggesting a psychological adjustment of some sort tied to your emotional understanding of your hopes and dreams. Can you see how the areas of your being that are so VERY sensitive contribute to how you built your life? Venus kicks her feet WAY up, over her head, as she bats her eyes at Mars across the room and twirls acorss the floor over towards Pluto‘s waiting arms. Mars has an aspect with the North Node of destiny. Is Mars going to get in line to dance with Venus too? She’s going to be inviting the three of them, Mars, Saturn and Pluto to dance the tango with her in the months ahead!

Saturn’s day Sun squares Juno and dances with Neptune ~ we are created by what we partner with. Argue for your limitations and they become your partners! What are you partnering with? Moon in Aries sets off Neptune, Sun and Jupiter in harmonious aspects asking you to take firm and concise action to get your actions in line with your dreams. Gotta be in it to win it.

Sunday, Venus sweeps herself into Pluto’s arms! Pluto OR Saturn is a false choice. Pluto AND Saturn is where it is at! Gotta be passionate about your routine! Otherwise why bother? Saturn’s going into Virgo soon ~ so do what you love as the upcoming energy of Virgo will make it more and more routine and a deeper portion of your life. If you aren’t doing what you love, you are going to have a difficult time with Saturn’s journey through Virgo. He’ll be criticizing you and picking on you instead of teaching you how to improve. Moon will help you as she talks with stationing Mercury. So what is it that you love? Where’s your passion? Move toward that passion of yours!

Mundane: Oh joy, Oh rapture! The Supreme Court officially went over to the other side (the corporate side) with the recent decisions of the Roberts‘ Supreme Court! So much for “We, the people”. We are turning into “We, the corporations who are in charge of everything and the rest of you little people who happen to live here.” First, corporations can spend as MUCH money as they would like on political and other advertising. Money is now the equivalent of free speech. And, the corporations or industries with the most money win!. As corporations have SO much more money than you or I do, I guess we will need to encourage rational and cognitive thought as well as the development of thinking in our school systems to be able to compete and be heard. Oh wait!

Second, the Supreme Court ruled that segregation is okay in the school systems!? Well, I guess the best way to keep us dumb and uninformed is to control the content of the airwaves and take away our ability to think by separating us by race and class via the education system. Didn‘t one of those founding fathers say we need to have an educated electorate to have a vibrant democracy as well as protect only ONE industry in the constitution ~ the press and their freedom.

Sounds like a plan to me… forward we go to Pluto in Capricorn. Going to be an interesting Pluto transit! And, if you think I am kidding about the corporations controlling the news and the content of what is covered on the airwaves, can you buy that oil rig advertised on your evening news? Is that something you want to take home and put in your living room corner next to the stereo? Ad revenues DO make a network think twice (or more) before they (or their shows) criticize that oil rig company! Content control is alive and well….

I love, love, love the bill introduced in Congress to defund Vice’s Vice Presidential Executive Branch office to the tune of $4.75 million while preserving his Legislative Branch office. Going to be interesting to see who votes up and down on that one! You can’t make these things up!
