Weekly Weather April 28, 2008

It is going to be a volatile week on planet earth as the heavens have many changes taking place above our heads. We know that “As above, so below, as without, so within.” Your job, (cue the Mission Impossible music ~ bum bum ba da dum dum), should you decide to accept it, is to focus your attention on the purpose, FROM YOUR SOUL’S POINT OF VIEW, of what the changes in the world mean for you. Your “other job” is to help other folks you meet process the changes going on in their lives. Going to be quite a few people working out all kinds of difficult intellectual, inspirational, emotional and physical stuff over the next week or so. Hold their hand. Let them hold your hand. We are all incarnated at the same time on this cute blue and green globe together, spinning through space, to work with each other and help our souls and selves grow wiser, smarter and stronger.

My friend Patrice wrote to ask why THIS Saturn station felt so qualitatively different from other Saturn stations in the past. After all, Saturn stops two times a year and has each and every year of our lives. This Saturn station is more important. It feels so “strong”. It is causing all kinds of emotional turbulence and anxiety in folks lives. It is about to change our lives in a qualitative and quantifiable way. Saturn is going to be the ruler of Pluto until 2024 because Pluto is in Capricorn, Saturn’s sign. Saturn stopping, WHILE talking to Pluto AND being “the boss of Pluto” means Saturn and Pluto are collaborating. It reminds me of that old EF Hutton commercial ~ where every one pauses to listen to what they are saying. Saturn pausing is going to make Pluto (and you) listen. Saturn is going to bring Pluto‘s attention right over to your left over Saturn lessons. Our upcoming Pluto in Capricorn story will start to reveal itself now.

Essentially, the structures, governmental, corporate, personal and physical that we have built to support our being are going to experience needed renovations to correct for the over-excesses of Sagittarius. Sagittarius is that party season right before Christmas ~ all the food, drink and consuming at party after party. Capricorn is January ~ your New Year‘s resolution, diet and Christmas bills arriving in the mail.

My friend Tina channels a weekly message from Maqa, her guide. I found it particularly sparkling and informative this week and asked her permission to share it with you as it particularly fit the upcoming Saturn station and Neptune diving into the North Node of Destiny:

I hope this message finds you leading with your Spirit. I love all of the misconceptions out there regarding Spirit and how we work. But, let's clear one up right now... shall we? Many of you have the tendency to believe that Spirit will only bring you to that path which is easy and without obstacles. You tend to believe that, 100% of the time, without fail, we will bring you to the "easiest" path. Let me put this misconception to rest immediately... This is just not truth!

We will 100% of the time take you towards the path of healing! Let me give you a "for instance." Let's say that you are embroiled in a 3rd dimension issue or drama, which usually means that someone has held up a mirror and you didn't like the reflection of a hurt that was staring back at you. If you take a deep breath, search your soul, look at your wound and your part within the situation which you attracted in order to heal; then turn to Spirit for love, guidance and clarity, we will always find a way to give you that support and the end result will be one of an "easier" healing... or lesson as you like to call it.

However, if you choose to lead with your Ego and focus on the other person's faults and issues... choosing to see that they are the one in the situation with something to heal or fix. Saying, this is all their stuff or they are to blame for this mess. And then, you make choices to strike out vs. love. Choose to make decisions that will keep you in FEAR of that reflection and, ultimately, keep you from healing.

Then, you finally turn to Spirit but only looking for confirmation that your Ego's response is correct. That your Ego's rationalizing (Rational Lies.. You "buy the lie" to protect yourself from any truth that is too painful to deal with) is lucid. That your actions are justified and you want us to verify that you should stay on this destructive "Ego trip."

Well, we have a completely different way of helping you heal this. We will walk you straight to and through the fire in order to help you heal. We have your greatest good in our sights… Not your momentary freedom from the pain. The pain is there to show you that something needs to be healed. If it is not healed, we do not want you to be released from the pain of it.

Think of your pain as a gift... Spirit's diagnostic gift! Do we want you to come to the conclusions that will help free you from this pain? Of course we do! But if you are Hell bent or Ego driven and walking towards that fire… We are going to grab you by the hand, show you the shortest path to the fire and cheer you on all the way because this is the fastest and most effective way for you to understand the wound and heal yourself in a more permanent way.

I know that it may sound harsh because, in a sense, we help "take you down." However, we know that the end result (your healing) will completely outweigh the means (walking you right to the fire). Now, if at any point, you stop walking towards that fire… take the time to pause, look at your reflection, listen and check in with your Self because you suddenly start to become conscious that this is in some way about YOU too, we will send you all the messages you can handle about averting the fire and ultimately healing. Will it be completely "pain free"? No. But less painful than standing in the middle of all of those flames!

But, when you are determined to go towards that fire… We will deliver you there personally! We love you too much to allow you to walk there alone. We also want to be there to celebrate with you when you come out the other side! Spirit loves a good celebration. We love you dearly.... And you are never alone! Giving love from the heart, Maqa
(If you would like to be added to Tina’s email list for Maqa‘s messages, contact her at tinamarie524@yahoo.com )

It seemed a particularly appropriate message as we approach the week ahead. Our week also features Mercury and Mars in numerous aspects, including powerful ones with the nodes as Neptune draws ever closer. Venus leaves Aries and enters Taurus to form a Grand Earth Trine with stationing Saturn in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn. Grand Earth Trines bring rewards for work well done and act as a cosmic pat on the back. So there can be very good things that come out around the Saturn Station ~it won’t be all gloom and doom. The gloom and doom, or difficult parts of the upcoming Saturn station are only to correct the parts that need to be changed (or healed as Maqa would say) now that Pluto is going to be in Capricorn, ruled by Saturn in Virgo. And last but not least Mercury enters Gemini so his, and our, communication skills improve radically as he leads the parade of personal planets in the heavens. And we have Neptune growing ever closer to the North Node so watch the drugs and addictive stuff. Give yourself positive Neptune to avert relapses this week.

Each sign cleans up the excesses and difficulties of the sign preceding it ~ as well as working on the next set of tasks for the soul‘s development. All the previous efforts of the earlier signs are incorporated into the new sign. If you look at the examples I cite in the mundane section, the situations the Pluto in the sign brought to consciousness, caused a healing crisis around and ultimately “corrected” were around, sometimes for quite a while, before most of us became conscious of it. What Pluto entering the new sign DID was make us REALLY AWARE of the problem or situation that needed to be fixed. That is what is going to happen this week.

Saturn in Virgo says it is eminently fixable ~ if only in you fixing your response to it ~ you can always change your response! But it means there is a real possibility that you can work with the situation to help yourself heal and grow. To guide yourself to the best outcome and use of your energy. To move yourself a bit further down the road of your life. And that, as they say, is a good thing. So chin up. Smile on your face. You have nothing to fear but fear itself.

Monday, Mercury aspects Neptune and Jupiter ~ adjust your idea of what “right” is. Take the energy higher ~ to a higher purpose or service. If you are in a negotiation for or about something ~ present the low, medium and higher version of what you would like to see happen. Jupiter is suggesting to Vesta that the solution is right before you, even if you can’t see it right this second. Consider other options. Try to widen your choices about what is possible. Add more options. So often in a reading, a client will be caught between two poles that seem not bending ~ while a third option is sitting right there, looking at them. Ask for help. Ask for ideas. And before arguing about why you can’t possibly do it, think about how you could do it. Do you want to do it? How do you get to yes? Aquarius moon offers new options you might not have considered before. Try them out. What can it hurt? Be kind. Send the energy higher. Watch the drugs and addictive stuff.

Tuesday is a very, very busy and kind of volatile day. Mercury hears or delivers some funky or interesting news from a partner, foreign/ Sagittarian situation or relationship and all hell breaks loose. Mars has crabby and anxious aspects with the Nodes. Mars is in Cancer, security conscious and not willing to take risks. He’s being asked to risk what he has. Mars feels a bit blind sided by what takes place. So he grabs his security and runs for the exit. Moon occults Neptune ~ make emotions particularly high, very open, thin skinned and sensitive. Aquarius moons tend to distance themselves from drama ~ which is NOT a good idea. Moon rules that Mars in Cancer ~ making for a skittish, nervous hired assassin kind of energy. I‘ll kill you before you kill me ~ not a pleasant space to be in. Mercury squares the Nodes suggesting the news received means the situation can go either very good or very bad and in a very fast way. Your job is to move the energy consciously higher. Send the energy higher, higher, higher, and not lower. Watch the drugs and addictive stuff. Pick up the phone. Reach out. Do not allow the energy to degenerate or spiral out of control. The energy will be seeking a fear based or lower place. Force the energy to stay conscious and healthy in your part of your world. Look for the good in the energy. There is some good ~ if nothing else consciousness about the matter is the result. As well as where you are. And how far you have left to go. And how far you have come. Partner with the good ~ send Venus and Juno in their fiery glory out to partner with the good. Be kind. Send the energy higher.

Wednesday Venus enters Taurus after the emotional Moon sets off Saturn and Pluto. Pisces moon can get carried away with itself as it bounces off stationing Saturn and sextiles Pluto. Folks will be feeling mighty emotional and sorrowful with this energy. Pisces moon reminds us we are connected on a soul level ~ we might like to think we are separate from each other but in fact we are all intertwined and related. The ocean of a Pisces moon dissolves the differences between us ~ those differences that we love to hold on to make ourselves feel “special” or “unique” or “better than” or “worse than”. Watch the drugs and addictive stuff. Be kind ~ especially to yourself. Send the energy higher.

Thursday brings May Day, Ascension Day and Beltane. It marks the beginning of the pastoral summer season when the herds of livestock were driven out to the summer pastures and mountain grazing lands. Wear something yellow to celebrate! Beltane is a cross quarter day marking the midpoint in the Sun’s progress between the Vernal Equinox of Spring and the soon to come Summer solstice. Great bonfires celebrated a time of purification, transition, and hopes for a good harvest. The bonfires were accompanied by ritual acts to protect the people from any harm by spirits. Beltane was a time when the Otherworld was seen as particularly close at hand. So if you are feeling frisky, jump over a candle three times! Or sit between two candles and meditate on your life. Welcome in the cross quarter day as a turning point in your existence. Venus forms a grand trine with Saturn and Pluto today creating positive abundant energy. Saturn is stopped in the sky, getting ready to move forward again. It could definitely help to do some purification or releasing rituals to Saturn, Venus and Pluto to move your life along. Mercury has an earth aspect with Jupiter so you may get startling news today. Watch the drugs and addictive stuff. Jupiter‘s square to Pallas promises the strategy that you thought was so rock solid might be a bit over the top. But it was good to try it nonetheless. Say yes to things in spirit but wait until Saturn starts moving direct to actually do the deal. Be kind. Especially to yourself ~ no criticism. Learn what you need to learn.

Friday, we find the Aries Moon rocking our world as Saturn stations to go direct. Be kind. Keep your mouth closed if you can’t say something nice. Mercury enters Gemini giving us a new vision of the world and a new desire to communicate with it. We need to talk. We are a communal kind of critter. We get isolated, at times, which doesn’t actually help us. Today is one of those days to reach out and talk with people that you might not speak with regularly. Venus is in a lovely aspect with Chiron so listen to the words around you to see how to heal the wounds. Watch the drugs and addictive stuff. Re-read Maqa’s words I know that it may sound harsh because, in a sense, we help "take you down." However, we know that the end result (your healing) will completely outweigh the means (walking you right to the fire). Saturn stations today. Stop. Look at your reflection. What do you see? Be kind. It will be a hard day on earth.

Saturn’s day Mercury is hopping, steaming, boiling mad. Mercury is arguing with Pluto and Saturn. There is a very strong tendency to shoot your mouth off (yesterday too) as the energy is strong and folks need to do something to release it. Stop. Look at your reflection. What do you see? Be kind. It will be a hard day on earth. Watch the drugs and addictive stuff.

Sunday, the energy starts to shift as Neptune dives into the North node of destiny. Well, we gotten to the other side. If you are still here, you have work to do! You know what you have to do. Forward. Be kind. Especially to yourself. Watch the drugs and addictive stuff. Mercury has an aspect of brilliance to Uranus and wants to curl up and cuddle. The Taurus Moon forms a grand trine to Saturn and Pluto. When you think about it, what DO you really need? What makes your heart sing? Can you go give it to yourself today? It has been a hard week on Planet Earth. Watch the drugs and addictive stuff. Have a day of joy, love, dreams, music, nature and contemplation about the next 17 years of your life as Neptune and the Node of your Destiny join to move you forward. As the man says in Spamalot, “I’m not Dead yet!” You aren’t dead yet! So go and live your best life. The best is yet to come.

Mundane: As one of your regular astrological guides, I’ve been watching the news the past couple of months to see what Pluto ruled by Capricorn will bring. Pluto in Scorpio, 1983 to 1995 brought us AIDS, consciousness about sexual and domestic assaults and the abuse of children, assisted suicide, genetic cloning and the first solid vitro successes. Pluto in Sagittarius 1995 to now, featured the justice system (OJ Simpson begins and ends our journey and class action lawsuits proliferated), uses and abuses of same (the recent legislation “protecting” industries from lawsuits from their dangerous products), the Catholic Church pedophile scandals, religious fervor and foreign wars, terrorism by fire and air, the “world wide web” ~ a lovely connective vision making all sorts of stuff available to all ~ including the darker images of humanity ~ torture, child pornography and violence, outsourcing to foreign nations, righteousness and the loss of dialog, the rise of multinational corporations’ power, as well as consciousness about racial and tribal conflicts and a cell phone in every hand. Is any one not on medication for something as the pharmaceutical companies come up with drugs to enhance or affect everything? Outsized executive pay compared to worker’s salaries ~ can anyone possibly spend (or even be worth) a billion dollars in annual salary?

Pluto in Capricorn will revise our structures ~ governmental, corporate, personal and physical ~ the challenging and changing structures that we’ve built to support our lives. We’ve got all the “green stuff”, the emphasis on Mother Earth and Global Warming. We are hearing about food riots in other countries and seeing our own stores limit the amount of rice we can buy. (And Pluto is only at zero! ~ the good part? I am finally going to lose some weight!). Food and fuel prices are sky rocketing ~ oil is used all over the transportation and growth processes of food. Folks are losing the literal structures over their heads with all foreclosures taking place, the upcoming stock market crash when the hedge funds unwind and the Greater Depression. We have our first black and woman running for President, challenging the white male power structure and our traditional beliefs about race and gender. Corporations and governments are getting increasingly selfish and intermingled. They are not serving people ~ outsourcing jobs, no health or retirement benefits, and independent contract labor with no taxes paid. We’ve also had the beginning of serious challenges to the powers that be of existing power over governments not serving their people.

We’ll start to find out the long term effects of the chemical, biological and technical experiments we’ve been conducting on our physical bodies and our dear earth ~ brain cancers from cell phones (the cell phone companies asked for, and received, legislation protecting them from lawsuits ~ don’t you think cigarette companies would have done the same if they could have?), unregulated ingestion of GMO foods in our bodies and grown crops, the startling rise in autism (the pharmaceutical companies received similar legislative protections for vaccines ~ a rumored cause), the shift in ocean currents, melting icecaps, change in the jet stream and rise in ocean temperatures will impact where folks can live, the critters on earth and in sea as well as what crops can be grown where. WE see the continuing extinction of species as habitats are challenged and invaded.

I know, Pluto in Capricorn can sound a bit depressing when it all is gathered into one paragraph. But if you think about it in the context of what you are here on earth for, you can reframe it. We all incarnated to do something in our lifetime. The next major chapter of our lives starts now. We chose to be alive now to help ourselves, our fellow human beings and our fellow life forms on Planet Earth. Your time is now! Saturn’s about to get you a brand new job and focus when Pluto goes into Capricorn for good in November. So pay attention and see what it is. Look at your Capricorn house. Get to Work on it and in it! The future of our world is hanging in the balance. You have a job to do ~ as shown by your chart ~ so no lollygagging about. Okay, Mars is still in Cancer, so you can whine JUST a bit more. But soon ~ clip, clop off you’ll go!

Weekly Weather April 21, 2008

Saturn has entered the degree of his upcoming May 3rd station. He slows to a virtual dead stop or standstill at the station degree and minute from Sunday, April 27 through May 7. We all stop with Saturn. The upcoming station promises to be doozie! Major, major, major life altering events will take place under Saturn’s watchful and karmic eye as he asks us to begin to move forward again with our lives after he turns direct.

Normally, the universe is alive with movement whether it is our blood cells cycling through our veins and arteries as pumped by our heart, the ocean waves coming onto the shore as the tides go in and out, the movement of air through the heavens as it circles our globe and moves in and out via breathing, the crackle of a fire in the hearth as the fuel is transformed or the gradual erosion of the minerals from earth as a plant extracts what it needs to grow. Alive and moving. The entire universe alive and moving all the time. When thing stop, we notice!

We often think of planets as only stopping on the DAY they station, as our ephemeredes have that day noted with an R or D. The ephemeredes neglect to remind us to note the build up days. A station is actually a build up of energy, which culminates on the day of the station. I prefer to think of it musically as a fortissimo sign < as it starts low and builds in volume and intensity. Or perhaps the sound of a train whistle that grows louder and stronger as it approaches where we sit in our car, waiting for the train to pass. Stations are optical illusions ~ it APPEARS that the planet pauses, stops and turns a new direction in the sky. That said, optical illusions are mighty profound. In the case of the larger planets, we actually have a 5 to 8 day optical illusion as the planet imperceptibly moves fractions of a thousandth of a second of longitude ~ too slowly to be noticed by our earth bound eyes.

Saturn is stationing. Saturn is bringing back the story from September 2007 and tying it into the emotions of the March 2008 eclipse story. Saturn is telling you to wrap up the last 29 years of your life and get ready for the next 29 years! Saturn is about to march through the sign of Virgo, the sign of the apprentice, servant, healer, body, diet, health, work, habits and place of the rituals and routines in your life. Saturn is organizing, structuring and asking you to assess where you are in regarding those areas and in your life in the house ruled by Virgo. Saturn reminds us that time is short. Life is fleeting. You have committed to something. Do you want to be committed to it? Are you ready for something new? What do you want your life to become? Call in your life. Sign up for an apprenticeship with your life! Commit to your skill, craft or purpose.

You can expect anything that is unfinished or incomplete to come knocking on your door asking you to be accountable. You can expect things to come back to earth and seek to ground themselves from any and all excesses. You can expect Saturn to push on your weaknesses, fears and anxieties. It is time to get your act cleaned up so you are ready to go on the road for the next part of your Saturn journey. You are going to be set free, in some manner, degree or form, over the next few weeks as Saturn rolls into his station degree.

You can expect to be rewarded for work well done. You can expect that major karmic cycles will end around you and in the lives of your friends and family. You can expect that new cycles will begin around and for you as well as for them. Open chapters in people’s lives will come to a close. Chapters that people thought were closed might open up again ~ for a few weeks ~ to make sure that they REALLY are finished with it! Or not.

Folks will be ready to move on. The world will be asking us to move on to our next set of lessons, learnings and competencies. If you have unfinished business with folks, work hard to wrap it up between now and May 7. If you hear of situations ending in people’s lives, encourage them to take the long view from their soul’s perspective. What did they learn from it? What do they know now that they can use in the future? What was their soul’s lesson? What do they wish they could do differently? What do they need to release to let them move forward? These kinds of questions are essential to working with the energy of the Saturn station.

While all of our chart represents our karma in this lifetime, our Saturn represents the part of our karma that we have the most to learn about and from. Saturn reflects our greatest strength and most fatal flaw. Our strength derives from our flaw. Saturn represents the part of our being where we are a bit afraid of what we have to do. Saturn represents our harder lessons in life. The Saturn station ahead CAN represent a course correction of sorts. If you are off your path, Saturn will nudge or push you back on to your path.

So stand up. Ask Saturn for his hand. Hold it. Tell Saturn you would like him to help you be brave and do what you need to do. Saturn actually is a good guy if you work for and with him and “do your Saturn”. We are all going to be having Saturn lessons over the next few weeks. Think of it as a test. Know you are going to be fine. Do your absolute best. Don’t worry. Show up. You don’t have to be perfect. You do have to muddle through it with your best effort. Put your fears in Saturn’s hands. You are about to enter a completely new chapter of your life. You are about to give birth to a new you. ASK FOR HELP IF YOU NEED IT!!! You are NOT in this alone! ASK FOR HELP! And keep asking for help as you go through it.

Saturn, in our day-to-day lives, is our authority figures. On Saturn stations, our authorities often change. And, on Saturn stations, our relationships to our authorities change. We become our own authorities. We look for outside authorities to help us (and they often do). We realize that life is process of moving from no authority to partial authority to full authority and back down the scale of authority as we age. That is what Saturn teaches us. He asks us to know we are responsible for our choices ~ good and bad, mistakes and successes. Saturn points out our role in things, where perhaps we did not ask needed questions of the boss or authorities. Now we are left holding the bag so to speak ~ so ask for help from the authorities you trust. Remember to breath. You are going to be fine.

As the line goes “I don’t know nothing about birthing babies, Ms. Scarlet!” Well, you are about to learn about birthing babies as you give birth to a new you. Pay attention. Be brave. You are going to be fine once it is over. And, yes, it might hurt a bit. BUT on the other side, (and, yes, there is another side) you are going to be fine. Millions of babies are born all over the world every day. Over the next couple of weeks, you are going to be born too.

Remember Neptune is still VERY close to the North Node. Watch out for the negative forms of Neptune ~ sugar, alcohol, drugs, excesses of what ever you are addicted to that numbs you out to the world. Try to incorporate positive Neptune into your life ~ music, dance, meditation, dreams, and nature to help you through the transition. STAY CONSCIOUS. Don’t give into fear.

Monday, Sun trines Saturn forming a grand trine in earth with Pluto. Push for what you want today. Pluto squares Vesta so you cannot go home again. It does not fit. You do not belong in quite the same way you used to. That is okay. Keep in mind YOUR agenda and what YOU would like from the situation. Move toward that. Mars has an adjusting aspect with Chiron suggesting wounds from old mental places will be pushing on your reality buttons today. The reality is different from what you are telling yourself. That is okay. Agree to not know. Push for your agenda. Write down the situation so you can see it clearly. Be suspicious. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES send anything out that confesses to anything or denies you any thing. Figure out your strategy. Wait at least a day or so to see what is revealed. The Scorpio moon is square to Neptune so you are operating under illusion. That moon is ruled by Mars in Cancer ~ so it is a very self protective and self-destructive moon. Gather data. Listen. Ask questions. But no commitments. Especially emotional commitments.

Tuesday, Mars trines Uranus offering a breakthrough of options or perhaps additional choices you weren‘t aware of. Aren’t you glad you waited? Sit still again, if you can. Remember, the station is going to make everyone FEEL they absolutely HAVE to TAKE ACTION as Saturn is pushing on them and they don‘t study the heavens. Ask for help but do not take any other action. Watch. Listen. There may be difficult words today. It is a good day to take a personal day, if you can. If you cannot, remember there is a HUGE VOID MOON all day long so nothing comes of all the drama and other stuff running around in your head, office and house. Every one is over reacting to abuses of power and excess. Do not over react. Watch and observe.

Wednesday is fine to take action and do things. Venus is setting off the Mars Jupiter opposition and firing up that t-square of energy. Seek to partner on a higher level ~ elevate, elevate, elevate. The tendency of the energy is to go to the lower forms ~ so consciously push it up and towards what you would like to accomplish. Moon has good closing aspect today and tomorrow so things done today will go well. Reach out and ask for help from kind authorities in your environment. There can be a tendency to over spend or over indulge.

Thursday, Mars is opposite Jupiter so there will be strong desires to take action and move things forward. There is a very strong desire to overcome or overcompensate due to Jupiter’s involvement with Mars and Venus as well as ruling the Moon in Sadge. Avoid over optimism, as the promises made will be bigger than you can deliver. Slow and steady. Under commit and over deliver down the road if possible. There is a tendency with the t-square energy to self-sabotage, cause problems or fight ~ particularly in relationships or partnerships that are formed between equals. Sun and Mercury have difficult aspects with the nodes and Pluto respectively ~ words carelessly spoken today can end relationships forever ~ or permanently alter them. So be conscious and careful about what you say and to whom. It is a natural and necessary time for things, situations, jobs, and people to leave your life. So thank them for their contribution to your life and let them leave with their (and your) dignity intact.

Friday finds Venus and the Sun feeling either sentimental or weepy or perhaps both. With all endings, there is a sense that you cannot go back, ever again, to what it was. As conscious beings, we are aware of endings. We so often fail to live in the now, the moment. Today is a day to live in the moment. And Neptune is VERY active ~ over active in fact, so do watch the drugs, alcohol or other indulgences that seek to sweep you away from your life. Mercury’s harsh aspect to Pluto reminds us to make sure to measure our words and double-check all commitments. There is a distinct opportunity with today’s aspects to go off half-cocked and get the story completely wrong. So NO running away with yourself. This is a big Saturn day as Moon is in Capricorn today and tomorrow, asking you, and all whom you know, to take responsibility for your actions. Own them. No excuses.

Saturn’s day finds us with Moon in Saturn’s sign. Time to work on your Saturn stuff. Venus has helpful aspects to the Nodes, suggesting time spent with yourself focusing on what you want to accomplish in your life, especially in light of what you learned this week, is an excellent use of your time. Sun is working with Neptune and the Nodes asking you to set your vision a bit higher, a bit wider, a bit more in-depth, a bit deeper, a bit more concrete. You do not have to know how you are going to get there but you do need to start moving toward it. Mercury has a helpful aspect with the Moon and Vesta suggesting you begin right where you are. Ask for help. They cannot read your mind.

Sunday finds us with a long void moon on our hands while the Moon finishes his journey in Capricorn. Chiron and Mercury are talking to each other. As you enter the intensity of Saturn’s station next week, I want you to think about the interconnectedness of your life, how you have arrived where you are, how your early life’s lessons created the you before you. How all the things you have learned and experienced got you to here? There was a lovely, 15-minute video clip sent to me by a friend. It is a lovely example of the story we are each experiencing in our own lives right now. Watch it to see how her path was shaped by her early childhood and her brother’s mental illness, how those experiences helped her career choices and directed her life path. See how the personal experience she describes in the video illuminates and guides her life now. And see if you are not on your feet, cheering and clapping like the room full of scientists and doctors do, at the end of her speech. It works best if you cut the link and paste it in your browser instead of clicking on it through my site.

Mundane: As mentioned in last week’s column, it looks like the stock market will have a major correction or crash in the next few weeks. Cash out what you need for the next 3 to 5 years if you are near to retirement or paying for college. For more information on it, please read last week’s mundane section.

Full Moon April 20, 2008

Full moon April 20, 2008

0:43 Scorpio Moon and Taurus Sun

6:25 am EDT

3:25 am PDT

The full moon takes place as the Moon sets in the west and the sun rises in the east for the eastern United States ~ making the lunation angular and even more about relationships and duality than full moons usually are. The full moon was seeded in the fall of 2006 on the New Moon in October at 28:40 Libra. That full moon column is available on this site for you to read in its entirety. We come to a culmination of the journey today as the lights, joined back then, oppose each other across the heavens, lighting our path with the moon’s glow.

Rereading my column from October, I wrote about the need to pluck the suckers from the rose bushes in your life to encourage healthy and robust blooms of your roses as well as the fact that the new moon stimulated the 1982 Saturn and Pluto conjunction in Libra. Now Saturn and Pluto are trine to each other, culminating in a closing aspect, guiding you to a new vision about something you learned about relationships from 1982 and Fall 2006. To quote myself:

The new moon at 28:40 Libra echoes across time and space. It asks us to start anew with a revised or different vision of the issues from our past. It is time to revisit our known knowns and our accepted wisdoms. We are a moment in time when we can see what and how our known knowns and accepted wisdoms created our life. One of the major stumbling blocks when we start to become conscious is learning and understanding how our beings are settled in, formed, created and passed into solid structures by the roots of our family and early experiences. When you are taught to “believe” in a thing, especially when you are young and completely surrounded by large people, like parents, teachers, and adults, it is difficult to separate out what is YOUR belief from THEIR beliefs. Time to evaluate the accepted wisdom of how it has always been done to see if you want to keep doing it that same way. Ready?

Back on November 7, 1982, Saturn and Pluto, two of our life structure planets joined in the sky to start a new cycle of consciousness about our life. They joined at 27:36 Libra, right next to the degree of our New Moon. The 27-28 Libra degree stays “sensitive”, for lack of a more adequate word, for the balance of the 38 year cycle of Saturn and Pluto. The conjunction of Saturn and Pluto is the “seed” where a new plant eventually sprouts to take form. Back in 1982, we learned lessons, perhaps not ones we were completely happy with as we started a new evolutionary growth process. The situation and the lessons from 1982 structured the next phase of our lives. When two planets join, we continue to track the steps of their cycle dance with each other. We watch our lives whenever planets stop or station on the sensitive degree of 28 Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Libra as those moments “wake up” that energy from 1982. Various planet actions taking place at 27-28 Libra can be experienced as growing, fertilizing, plucking the ripening fruit, pulling off the dead leaves, fierce pruning, testing, sway gently in the sunshine, knocked over in a fierce storm. All growth cycles have phases.

At the bottom or along the main stem every rose bush, these little cute twigs or baby branches grow, seeking life. They are called “suckers”. Essentially, suckers take advantage of the growing season, rose bush and lovely weather to shoot forth. However, suckers sap the growing essence from the blooms. Suckers divert energy. Blooms are the ultimate purpose of every plant. Suckers want to use up the bloom’s energy. Rosarians, the fancy name for people who take care of roses, aggressively snap off the suckers to enhance, increase and lengthen the balance, fragrance and energy sent to the bloom.

The universe, with, or without, your cooperation, has been plucking and snapping the suckers off you over the last year or so as you‘ve experienced the sesquiquadrate of Saturn to Pluto. The universe wants you to bloom. It is time. The suckers in your life are perfectly fine, legitimate branches or twigs ~ they are part and parcel of you after all. They have a perfect right to exist. In fact, you might want to keep some of the suckers on your rose bush. They might be making a very legitimate case for becoming an important branch in your life. However, to have you bloom, to your highest purpose and potential, you’ll have the opportunity to pluck your suckers over the next couple of weeks. You have clearly identified your suckers by now. You know what suckers look like. Pluck the suckers that don’t contribute to your higher path, love, growth or expansion. They are draining your energy and time.

After I learned about plucking suckers, I started checking out rose bushes that grow in the wild, untended by sucker plucking Rosarians. Those rose bushes have lots and lots of suckers! The universe and nature likes abundance and redundancy. Those sucker covered rose bushes still BLOOM. Their blooms are smaller, less fragrant and not as abundant. But they do bloom. It takes more work, time and energy to support both the blooms and all those suckers. The rose bush life force is diverted into all sorts of places that it doesn’t need to go.

Over the next few weeks, the Cosmic Rosarian will be marching over to your part of the rose garden to inspect the bushes you’ve been plucking the suckers on for the last year or so. The Rosarian might decide to pluck a sucker that you (and perhaps even the sucker) consider to be a legitimate branch or twig. Trust the Cosmic Rosarian if a branch or twig gets plucked off and called a sucker. Even if you don‘t agree, trust the process! The cosmic pluck is to help you grow. That plucked branch or twig can go and grow some place else. You don’t have to keep supporting it with your life force.

And, if the Cosmic Rosarian doesn’t pluck stuff in your part of the garden over the next few weeks that means you’ve been doing your Saturn just fine. Keep on doing your Saturn. You’ve learned to identify the suckers from the true purpose of your particular rose bush and found your path.

We are in the trine of the conjunction of Saturn and Pluto. It is time for the roses in your life to bloom. The full moon marks a choice for each of us about how we want those blooms to appear in our lives. North Node joins with Neptune pushing the beauty of vision forward to the next phase. Are you going to Pluck Some Roses for your table or leave them on the bush to continue growing into the next phase? Not right or wrong ~ what calls to your heart?

There is a huge grand trine in earth forming on the full moon, making things ripen and come to fruition. So pluck that rose in your life , harvest it or push it towards its next growth phase, rose hips. Push for things to move to the next level in your life. Don’t be fearful.

There is a family fight going on, Mars in Cancer square Venus in Aries, about what is the value of a particular thing. Is it actually of value to you? Why? What higher purpose does it serve? Where is your ego getting in the way of the calling of your spirit?

Addictions, negative versions of Neptune, can flare under this full moon. We are all addicted some place in our chart ~ where we have Neptune. We are all obsessive in our chart some place ~ where we have Pluto. Pluto is kind of manageable right now as he is going backwards into Sadge for one more pass to remind us about the excess and overdoing in our lives. Saturn is getting reading to station, trine to Pluto, saying look at where you are in your life. Think about where you thought you’d be at this stage of your being. Does it match your dreams? What is the variance? What do you want to change to get to a new place? What do you want to preserve or continue to grow of the place and parts where you currently stand?

The sun has moved into Taurus, fixing the season of spring in our upper hemisphere of earth. The energy of creation is rising up in each of us for us to move to our next stage of growth and ripening.

In my case, the full moon falls on the 25th Anniversary of my mother’s death. In November of 1982, we found out she had a nasty, widely spread case of colon cancer. It is hard to believe that I am 25 years with out talking or laughing with my mother. I am, at age 53, past the life she had lived up to age 52. I have no model or vision, provided by her, of what life looks like for the next chapters of my life to come. So visioning is left to me. It actually is left to each of us in this lovely world. We don’t always appreciate it but we do vision our lives ~ consciously or unconsciously ~ and create our experiences.

So do some conscious visioning on this full moon. Think about your life and the changes you’ve experienced during it. See where you are. See where you would like to go. Tap into source and connect with your soul to get some inner guidance ~ using positive Neptune ~ and forward we jump into the Saturn Station and full moon seeing our creations as connected.

A friend sent me this link. It runs about 15 minutes but it is a lovely example of the story we are each experiencing in our own lives right now. See how her path was shaped by her early childhood and her brother’s mental illness, how they helped her career choices and directed her life path. See how the personal experience she describes illuminated and guided her life. And see if you aren’t on your feet, cheering and clapping as the room full of scientists and doctors do at the end of her speech. ITWORS BETTER IF YOU CUT AND PASTE THE LINK INTO YOUR BROWSER AND LOAD IT DIRECTLY.

Lynda Hill’s interpretation of the Sabian Image for the Scorpio Moon is A SIGHTSEEING BUS FILLED WITH TOURISTS

Commentary: ‘A Sight-Seeing Bus Filled With Tourists’ is an image of people touring around, seeing the sights, taking in the surrounding atmosphere and learning about people and places that are new or foreign to them. There can be a feeling of knowing one’s destination, having a map or guide, but not really knowing what it is actually like. There can also be the feeling not only of being an observer, but being observed by others yourself.

Oracle: Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where we don’t understand the customs or the language of those around us. You may need a tour guide to help you acclimatize or to make the most of this journey. If you are traveling with others, there may be a need to be punctual at all times; the others could leave without you in their eagerness for getting on with things. New friendships can be made, whilst others lost. Remember to take in as much information as possible through sight, sound, touch and smells, as this will enable you to learn from the experiences that you are having. Pictures, postcards, leaflets and souvenirs from your journey may be useful reminders of your experiences. It may pay to keep an eye on your belongings, especially if there are people you don’t know or trust journeying with you on the ‘Bus’. Remember that these “belongings” may manifest on every level-the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. This applies especially to anything that allows you to prove your unique identity. Being in an unknown place without identification can be time wasting, confusing and can lead to a sense of alienation or abandonment. Also, trying to communicate with people who don’t understand you can lead to feeling misunderstood, disconnected and shut out. None of this is necessary, of course, as long as you’re awake and conscious at all times. Maybe it’s time to stop being a “spectator” in life and to become more of a participant. Whatever is happening, endeavor to enjoy the ride, learn from the journey and take in all that is possible.

Keywords: Observing life. Feeling disconnected from reality. UFO’s and aliens. Seeing how other people live. Watching from afar. Tourists, traveling, buses. Suitcases and luggage. Cameras, pictures, souvenirs. Tour guides. Timing and being on time. The untried and untrodden or the same old road. Getting lost in something for hours. Foreign territories.

The Caution: Feelings of naivety and gullibility. Feeling like an alien even in familiar surroundings. Making assumptions about others’ lives. Disconnections from reality. Not fitting in. Expecting things to be done without any personal expenditure of effort or resources. Getting out of one’s depth. Having difficulty calling one’s own agenda. anxiety. Inability to concentrate.

At six one morning, Will went out in jeans and frayed sweater to buy a quart of milk. A tourist bus went by. The megaphone was directed at him. “There’s one,” it said. That was in the l960s. Ever since, he’s wondered. There’s one what? Renata Adler

Lynda Hill’s interpretation of the Sabian Image for the Taurus Sun is A CLEAR MOUNTAIN STREAM FLOWS STEADILY DOWNSTREAM

Commentary: ‘A Clear Mountain Stream Flows Steadily Downstream’ in a path, ultimately to the sea. The ‘Mountains’ are the source of all the oceans and, like the ‘Stream’, life is a process of change from the cradle to the grave. A ‘Stream’ must follow its sure course even if it gets distracted from its goal, as can happen when the flow of water is diverted by something or someone. As it ‘Flows Steadily Downstream’, nothing can really stop its ultimate direction. If it is stopped or dammed, it accumulates immense energy, and will practically burst to keep going. Water just goes on, over, under, around, forever onward.

Oracle: There may be a need to choose a course and then not deviate from it. This will help to nourish and inspire confidence in yourself and those around you. There is likely to be some type of tradition and strength behind you. Realize that many came before you and you are a part of their story. You can become fresh, vibrant and revitalized from your own spiritual source. Be wary of standing still in this situation as still water can become stagnant. Further, icy feelings and being alienated from others will invite trouble further down the line. Set a course and go with the flow. As you get closer to your objective you will probably find you have a growing supply of impetus and power. Keep moving toward your goal while remembering to cultivate warmth and acceptance with all that you meet along the way. However, this Symbol can also describe a person that refuses to do anything other than what they have in mind. Having tunnel vision about one’s direction can alienate others. Performing your tasks with a focused vitality will be both positive and productive. Picture a ‘Stream’ flowing downhill, going around any obstacles and finding its true course.

Keywords: Remaining fluid. Flowing energy. Pure sources, nourishment and refreshment. Sure sense of direction. “Untainted” blood lines. Purifying one’s thoughts, ideas and beliefs. Things set in train from upstream. Water. Dams. Water as a resource. Purification. Cleaning and cleansing. Pipelines. The spiritual dimensions of water. Baptism. Elemental knowledge.

The Caution: Aimlessness. Aloofness. Feelings of physical, spiritual, racial or intellectual purity that can lead to smugness, bigotry or a false sense of superiority. Ice cold feelings and responses. Not taking notice or being concerned about another’s feelings. Cold ambition.

Everything flows and nothing abides; everything gives way and nothing stays fixed. Heraclitus

April 13, 2008

Weekly Weather April 14, 2008

Weekly Weather April 14, 2008

It is a two-page-week of aspects so we are going to be might busy down here on Planet Earth! I love two page weeks as time just flies by as we bustle along. Our week ahead features a full moon at 0 Scorpio, April 15 American’s tax day ~ our annual account of our financial lives, the beginning of Passover for our Jewish friends, Sun and Mercury both moving into Taurus, officially settling us into Spring in the northern hemisphere. Vesta moves into Aries causing the urge to clean out our houses and bodies to refresh them with spring cleaning and healthy diets. Juno stations to go retrograde at 29 Sadge so she just misses joining up and collaborating with Pluto. Partnering opportunities may “just miss by this much”. Not to worry. More will come. There are quite a number of Mercury communication and wisdom aspects as well as Venus money and love aspects. Sun and Mercury form fast moving grand trines in earth with Saturn and Pluto permitting us to get things accomplished and build solid foundations if we focus and direct our energy.

Mars is finally treading new ground and past his station degree from the middle of last November and interested in moving forward with his life. Saturn and Pluto are forming a fairly tight trine in earth so work on your projects with a clear focused mind ~ a gentle direct of the energy will move it forward. Reach out and make connections of intent even if you cannot move physically forward on the project yet.

Neptune is driving closer and closer to his merging with the North Node of destiny as personal planets Mercury, Venus, Mars and the Sun have aspects with the nodes this week. With this many personal planets hooking up with the nodes of destiny, be very careful to collect cards of the folks you meet, note the things that make you go ‘ping’ on the inside even if you can’t quite put words around the experience of what caused the ‘ping’ sound and in general pay attention to the messages you receive about your future and destiny. The heavens will be talking to us in the week ahead. So PAY ATTENTION.

And, as Neptune is getting ready to dive into the North node, avoid the addictive Neptune substances like sugar, alcohol, medications, drugs and similar rapture inducing things. People are going to be jonesing for a fix of something to move them out of their reality. There is so much going on and Neptune is so inviting. Think the mythical Sirens of old that would cause men to go mad and crash their ships upon the rocks seeking out the experience of their beauty. Indulge in “good” Neptune ~ music, art, beauty, spiritual matters, nature, meditation and sleep. Talk to and listen to your soul ~ that quiet voice inside of you that guides you when you stop long enough to listen to it. You HAVE TO USE UP THE NEPTUNE ENERGY or it will take you over. There is too much Neptune going around AND it is on the Nodes so the pull of the current of Neptune is VERY strong. If you feel like you have next to no energy ~ that is Neptune ~ take care of yourself and go to bed early for a few days. If you feel like you want to run away from your overwhelming life ~ that is Neptune ~ build some time and space into in, right NOW, so you can meditate or retreat to a cozy nest. If you feel like crying your eyes out ~ that is Neptune ~ have a good cry. If you feel overwhelmed or currents of emotions ~ that is Neptune. Invite positive Neptune into each and every day.

My friend Cathy emailed me a quote last week that seemed particularly resonant with the energy of the upcoming week. “You can't transition until you find different tools or rules to guide a different life, than the ones that guided the previous one.” We have been talking about how we are moving into a new order with Pluto shifting into Capricorn and the shifts of energy swirling around us.

You are about to give birth to a new you. That is what all the “anticipation energy” is about. The sense that something is coming even if you do not know what it is. The swirly sensation that seems to have no focus. You are transitioning to a new life. Your old life had rules. Your new life will need rules. What have you learned that you would like to implement in your life going forward? Take time during the glorious spring season to sit under a tree near a batch of daffodils to write new rules for yourself and your life. Cathy wrote her list of rules and shared them with me. A few of Cathy’s rules are going to become part of my list of new rules for my upcoming transition:

A) Consider generativity, love and abundance is at least as possible as destruction, damage and decay. Gaining as likely as Losing.

B) Call in your life. Believe. Create. Manifest.

C) Contemplate what you know.

D) Go in the direction that is right for you.

My organizer friend Jeannette suggests

The easier the task, the likier you will do it!

That completely works for me almost everywhere in my life! Therefore, that is going on my list of rules too.

Saturn in Virgo LOVES rules and lists! So make your Saturn happy. Quick, quick, quick while Mercury is in Aries, write your new list without thinking about it. Do your Saturn by writing a list of rules for yourself as you approach your transition. Start practicing the rules now as Mercury moves into Taurus so they become fixed in your soul. Start following the new rules on your list. And make them HEALTHY rules! Remember, Neptune is lurking.

Monday Mars has a harsh aspect with Saturn suggesting arguments or stress energies regarding and with your authority figures. Or difficulties around being your own authority. Remember Pluto moving into Capricorn is going to ask each of us to take responsibility for where we tend to self-sabotage and own our behavior. We cannot do “that” any more or our lessons will get bigger and bigger and bigger ~ particularly if or to the extent we are CONSCIOUS about our self-sabotaging behavior. Gotta own your stuff and your part in the matter. No more blame game. Mercury tries to con Neptune but Chiron in Aquarius is having none of it. As a friend of mine is fond of saying, it is a dance for two. What is your role in the dance? How do you contribute? Think back to the whoosh energy or the scare you had a few weeks ago when Pluto stationed at the beginning of the month. Tie that energy into today’s story. Be proud of your self. You might want to roar like a lion but remember words are still razor sharp and cutting. Be conscious.

Tuesday finds Venus aspecting the nodes as Income Tax filing day arrives in these United States and we mail off our accounting of last year to the government with our checks. Venus, Sun and Mercury aspect the nodes in a self satisfied, productive and very fruitful manner. The heavens are working with us today. Take advantage of today’s lovely aspects to make all sorts of offers, contacts or work on contracts with people or forward projects along to the next step. Moon in Virgo today forms lovely aspects to Pluto and starts a new cycle with slowing to a station Saturn. Moon also has lovely closing aspects, suggesting green lights all the way to Chicago. So push the energy a bit. Make an ambitious list and get stuff crossed off it. Make your list of new rules for the transition of Pluto into Capricorn and the next phase of your life, starting soon!

Wednesday, Sun joins with Mercury to push things forward and form a concerted and focused point of view. While the nodes are not active today, they are still resonating so take advantage of today to continue to cross off the things on your list from yesterday as well as to push things forward. Finish up you list of new rules and post them prominently. Today is ALMOST as good as yesterday so push the energy. Watch words as they are still sharp and cutting but they do manage to move things along.

Thursday has a very long void moon so it is okay to file or move along things you started Tuesday and Wednesday but don’t initiate new things. Wrap up, record notes, file, journal, move stuff along and continue on existing projects. It is a good day to listen to what you hear and make a note of it. It can be a bit difficult or turbulent as the energy expended over the past few days seeks to settle down. Mercury moves into Taurus so his speed slows to a trot from a full out gallop. Mercury in Taurus is still ruled by an Aries energy, as Venus still is traveling through Aries, but it is a firmer and more solid form of Aries instead of flowing ~ think slippery mud. Take time today to write the deals down, inscribe the work you did on Tuesday and Wednesday into a firmer form ~get it onto paper. Sun joins with Mercury by declination so seal deals, push for closure and move things along. Venus has a funky aspect with Uranus so unanticipated things can pop up and cause a bit of a bubble. Collect NO SIGNATURES today but get the stuff ready for signing tomorrow.

Friday is a run around day. Lots of aspects and a lovely close. Lock down the partnerships and deals with signatures on paper today. Commit to your list. Mercury has a lovely trine to Pluto and Saturn, forming a grand trine in manifesting and creative earth. Push to close things today as they will go quite well and be very fruitful as they move forward. There will be some minor adjustments next month but the commitment is firm. Juno, the asteroid of partnerships stations today so the energy is lovely to lock partnerships into place (or to call off partnerships and walk away free and clear). Vesta is pushing you to firm up your dreams of your future life. Work with her. What makes your heart sing? How do you get more of it? What are you waiting for?

Saturn’s day, Vesta enters Aries. Clear out the closets, clean out the life, shop for your home and house, move things out or into a new space. Passion and pushing energy to move things along around house and home. Sun enters Taurus, officially saying spring is fixed in and here. Yeah! Flowers (and pollen) every where. The earth is a-bloom. Mars has an aspect of brilliance with the nodes so take a risk and say yes to something you do not normally do. Mercury joining with Saturn by earth declination suggests you will hear things today you had not expected and will want to put an end to something. It is a good idea. Take action.

Sunday we have a lovely full moon at zero Scorpio, invoking the energy of fall 2006. It is culminating now. Read the full moon report on this site for more information on how to work with the Moon. Great ritual night to clear out the old, hidden and psychological wounds to get yourself ready for the new season of spring. You can also read the initial new moon report on this site if you scroll back in time through the blog. Mercury has an aspect of brilliance to Neptune as he observes the Master of Illusion communicate. Watch dreams, both day and night, listen for messages from the heavens about what your next step is. If two people mention the same book to you, go buy and read the darned thing. Sun has a lovely trine to Pluto today and Saturn tomorrow, forming another productive Grand Trine in Earth of protecting, manifesting and creating something solid in your life. Venus joins with Pallas suggesting you can partner with a good idea to your benefit today. Push the energy. Follow your new rules to help your transition.

Mundane: Carol and Cindy wrote asking about the timing for the upcoming stock market crash and when you should get your investments out of the riskier stuff and into cash. Good Question!? I looked at the forming of the NYSE, Feb 25, 1817, 10 am LMT, New York, NY and moved the chart forward in time to now.

There looks to be a major correction or a large crash starting in the last week of April through the first week of May 2008 when Saturn stations opposed to Progressed Saturn at 1 Pisces and joins with Solar Arc Saturn at 1 Virgo. Yep, you read that right ~ it is a TRIPLE Saturn aspect! Because the stock market is so old, SA Saturn has moved all the way around the chart to oppose natal Saturn. Saturn aspects are very bearish! The three different Saturns square the natal nodes at one Gemini/ Sagittarius on the first and seventh house angles. We can expect news that makes us change how we look at our stock market structure. We can expect the existing stock market structure to bend, break, end or go into the cave like a bear when Saturn stations May 2.

Natal Saturn rules the ninth house as well as the 10th and 11th houses ~ suggesting the initial impetus may come from oversea investors or major corporations failing/ collapsing and causing a reaction. Moreover, right after Saturn’s hard station on these two evolved Saturn points, we have Neptune diving into the North Node on May 3, completing and finishing his journey of illusion, deception and delusion begun in October 1991 when he last joined the node in Capricorn. Additionally, Saturn is stationing on the eclipse point from February’s full moon at 1:53 Pisces Sun/ Virgo Moon. So the eclipse from Mid-February to early March is coming back.

Remember that out of every ending there is a new beginning. Those are three major, major ending aspects, two face offs and three different Saturns are sending their energy, by square, to the angular houses of beginnings and endings as they aspect the nodes ~ prompting action or movement. Remember how fun your Saturn return was when you were 29? Well the stock market chart is having three Saturn returns on the same day, May 2, 2008.

The stock market chart features the Secondary Progressed (SP) ruler, Taurus’s Venus at the anaretic degree of 29 Cancer making her very security conscious (but NOT whiny). SP Venus is under attack by Solar Arc (SA) Mars in anaretic 29 Cancer and transiting Mars in Cancer. So anaretic transiting Mars at 29 Cancer is attacking both SP Venus, the ruler of the stock market chart and SA Mars, the ruler of the market’s public appearance and the house of the chart ‘s undoing. Transiting Mars will puncture the illusion? Mars has been going back and forth over a section of the zodiac for the past few months, building up a head of steam as he now leaves Cancer for Leo. Water into Fire ~ steam. The image I get is one of those pumper blaster rockets where you pump the air into the water chamber to help the thing launch in to the air.

Woven into that pile up of energy is retrograde Pluto and natal Saturn and SP Saturn forming a rather strong and definitely nasty Finger of God with SP Venus, SA Mars and Transiting Mars at the Apex. So that Apex, at the IC of the chart, or the foundation of the chart, is receiving the energy from the various Saturns who are cooperating with Pluto.

Life forever alters when Fingers of God receive transits. Life alters in good or bad ways based on the TYPES of planets involved. This Finger of God has seven malefics active. Transiting Finger of Gods with difficult aspects were active when Christopher Reeve had his horse back accident and Princess Diana her fatal car crash. There are four Saturns and a Pluto sending energy to SP Venus, SA Mars and Mars. Plus the stationing Saturn on SA Saturn is in the mix too in a semi-sextile aspect to the apex as it trines Pluto.

My money is on Saturn, Mars and Pluto doing a job on Venus, ruler of the chart. Saturn and Pluto last teamed up in an opposition at the time of 9-11. We know what happened then.

Solar Arc Uranus is at 20 Gemini, as is SP Moon and natal Moon. Those three are receiving the square from transiting Uranus in Pisces and an inconjunct from stationing Jupiter in Capricorn ~ that’s I’m-having-a-nervous-breakdown energy arriving in the stock market‘s emotions. Emotional volatility. Moon rules the house of words, deeds, communications and childhood beliefs. Credit comes from credo ~ to believe. Moon resides in the 12th house of its own undoing of it‘s belief, and receives those transits. We extend credit because we believe the words or promises of the borrower or person we are entrusting our money to. It is Latin creditum “loan,” from the past participle of credere “to entrust, believe.” The underlying idea of credit is something entrusted or trusted to the other.

When you buy a stock, you are saying you trust that the owners of the company will take good care of your money as you let them use your money to grow their corporation. You get a piece of paper, they get your money. You essentially are the company’s creditor. We make it sound nicer by calling you a partial owner, or stockholder, but you are actually a creditor of the company. Your ability to sell that piece of paper you hold, that stock, is based on OTHER people’s willingness to believe that company is still credible or credit worthy. Uranus coming to the various Moons suggests our emotions of trust will be shocked or astonished at what takes place with the folks or companies we‘ve loaned our money to.

Numerous other aspects add to and enhance the story as there always are in charts of major events. Cash out now. Move the money you will need for the next 3 to 5 years into insured accounts. If you are not retiring or will not need the money soon, move it to less risky investments. Inquire of the folks you have entrusted your money to if your money is insured. At least insured accounts have the potential promise of being paid back. Insurance is a guarantee if the situation goes south, that you will be partially reimbursed.

Last week featured four airlines going bankrupt as American Airlines grounded thousands of travelers due to cuts in her maintenance routines. Reminded me of Icarus’s fall to earth. Think of the airlines as acting as the canaries in the mineshaft. Airlines react much more quickly to economic downturns and market pressures than other industries do. Four airlines failed in one week? Cash out. Airlines are ruled by Aquarius as is the USA Moon.

To my high amusement and proof positive the universe has a sense of humor, the current head of the Federal Reserve Bank is Ben Bernanke. His career in academia, as a professor, involved studying the Great Depression, writing and teaching about it as he focused on how the Great Depression could have been prevented. Bernanke, born December 13, 1953, is a kind and mild mannered professor, with a mutable t-square of Pisces Moon, Jupiter in Gemini and Sun in Sagittarius with only his Saturn in Scorpio and his fallen Mars in Libra joined to Neptune in Libra and both square to Uranus in Cancer ruled by that Pisces Moon. Bernanke is dealing with the biggest, baddest, and nastiest sharks there are, the fellows who run Wall Street with the big money and the bigger connections. Academic politics versus corporate politics. Hmmm. Who would you bet on in the fight?! Bernanke is at the helm of the Fed as we head into the Greater Depression.

Think back to Colin Powell. After the debacle of Vietnam, Powell wrote “The Powell Doctrine” about the use of overwhelming force with clear goals and plans in mind for any future US military endeavor to ensure victory and cause minimum damage to the military forces. Instead, he was an active participant as the Bushies ran a war on the cheap, with less than adequate forces, money gouging contractors, and unclear goals. The result is the quagmire we are in six long years later with many, many billions of borrowed dollars spent. Powell’s worst fears were realized ~ our military lies in tatters around us due to third and fourth deployments of our service people to the ever changing war zone. Note: cynical Anne would say the goal of the war was to allow us to steal the Iraqi oil, so it WAS a successful war. The Bushies don‘t care about the military ~ they want the oil for their friends.

So watch for the Universe’s sense of humor this week. Intelligent design exists!

Weekly Weather April 7 2008

Weekly Weather April 7, 2008

So, what did you learn last week? Where did the war like aspects show up in your life? Where was the sudden outburst of expressive, dangerous, fast moving and perhaps over the top energy acceleration that moved you along your path? Fights or a rapid energy acceleration ~ or both? Those are the two places to focus your attention during the week ahead. Last week’s Pluto station, the accompany energy shifts of Mercury and Venus from Pisces into Aries, including that brand New Moon in Aries on Saturday moved us forward (and perhaps backwards) into ourselves with a thwomp! The energy seemed to take two forms ~ sometime both forms even occurred in or at the same place in your life.

First, let’s talk about the “fight” or “war” energy. Pluto stationing dug up something very old and probably pretty stinky from the backyard, near the garbage cans of your life. It surfaced. It appeared. You dealt with it. Perhaps there were harsh words, anxiety, tears or door slamming. Maybe nasty phone calls, vile thoughts or mean text messages. Or perhaps NO response to anything ~ only silence from the other. And now you are a bit shaky about the whole thing as the adrenaline slows down. Perhaps you are questioning your wisdom, abilities, self, meaning or purpose ~ the whole darned idea you had and yet here you are in your silly, stupid, stupid life. Stop now. Catch that thought and note what it was. What was the fight about? What did Pluto dig up?

Put the part you are questioning ~ write it down ~ on a piece of paper before you. The silly, stupid, stupid part ~ the question(s) or thoughts you had about yourself or the other as a result of the war aspect you ran into. That is why Pluto dug it up and brought it to you like a dead, decayed squirrel from your backyard. Pluto dug it up for you to look at it. Pluto dug it up so you would look at the silly, stupid, stupid part a bit more closely. So look at it clearly ~ now that the steam has cleared a bit and you‘ve calmed down. What did the situation help you see? What did you learn or feel? What did the steam blast of energy clear off of the soot and dirt embedded onto the wall? What does that underlying structure look like now that you are looking at it? How does that relate to the “project” or new beginning you thought you were starting last fall? How does that “silly, stupid, stupid” tie back to 1995 when you were bright eyed and still a bit of a bushy tailed squirrel scampering through your life? Okay, answers in hand, hold that thought. Make sure to write it down.

Next onto the acceleration. Where did you accelerate or feel your life started spinning wildly and you had no control or sense that you were in charge of things as the energy shifted? Where did the ride get a bit scary? It was a bit like a roller coaster drop or a perhaps a sudden shift of murky, clouded and formless energy to clear, light and sharp energy? Write that down too.

Now look at those two stories. How are the two stories related? They are related. That is the beauty of astrology. It is a continuum. A sign describes a range of behaviors from good to not so good even as the sign holds all related behaviors at a core level. Look until you see how the stories are different sides of the same story, same sign, and same issue ~ head and tail of the same coin. They are part of the same place and describe an evolutionary issue you are struggling with in your chart, your life and your psyche.

The Pluto station retrograde unplugged something or dug up something in your world. It actually has wanted to reappear in your life for a while ~ it only waited for a good Pluto station to show up! The story you struggled with last week is where the universe wants you to send healing light, energy and acceptance ~ no, not to the other guy. You have to send the light, energy and acceptance to yourself. That is the part you have to take care of, so to speak, heal or mend or love about yourself. You have to love the dead squirrel part of you ~ maybe love it for the first time.

That dead squirrel that appeared on your back stoop is what you are going to be working with until September when Pluto stations to go direct again. No, you don’t have to keep the dead squirrel around on your desk like a bizarre trophy. You can safely rebury the squirrel. Look at it first! WHAT does THAT dead SQUIRREL SYMBOLIZE? It symbolizes some belief about your self that wants to shift, change or evolve ~ INTO A HIGHER OR MORE POSITIVE VISION of yourself. That dead squirrel energy is what you are going to be working with while Pluto goes backwards into the last degrees of Sagittarius to clean up last, lingering issues before he moves into Capricorn for good next fall.

For example, you always take care of everyone else but have been ignoring your own nagging health issue and not taking care of yourself ~ why is that? You seem to pick people who have an inability to commit ~ even as your family thinks you should be married already and all your friends seem to run down the aisle ~ what do you want? Your ex keeps letting you know how fabulous he is doing <without you> ~ why are you talking to him/her? You avoid returning phone calls because you are tired of pretending everything is fine when it is not and you can’t stand talking to any of them for even a moment longer ~ why is that silence so meaningful? You cover, yet again, for the person who is acting irresponsibly, even as you want to smack some sense into them. ~ what would happen if you didn’t cover? You potty mouth off your opinion with a bit of wine under your belt and get suspended from your job because you managed to offend a big, old important customer ~ do you even WANT your job? Politics, yours versus theirs, gets someone SO irritated with you that they never want to talk to you again much less date you! Why are you talking with narrow minded people? You run into your old boss at a party to realize how he betrayed you while you were only completely loyal to him. And that reflects what about your current situation?

So what happened to you?

Pluto pushes us. He pushes us hard. Pluto makes us look. He holds our attention until we agree to see it. If we refuse to look, he keeps digging up dead squirrels and bringing them to us. Pluto points out the vulnerability, the weak spots, the obsessions, the dead squirrels on our door stoop. Pluto pushes us to see our lives and situations in a new and deeper way. What Pluto pushed at you last week, that dead squirrel, was a key part of the story you’ve been working on, attempting to understand and trying to develop since 1995 or even, perhaps, your entire life. The dead squirrel? A message from Pluto. The fight? A message from Pluto. The acceleration? A message from Pluto.

So rebury the squirrel.

Think on the issue the squirrel brought to your attention.

See how the squirrel reflects the bigger issue in your life that you‘ve been wrestling with (for a while).

Be nice to that part of you that calls yourself names ~ the silly, stupid, stupid part. Especially as you rebury the squirrel.

You are not silly, stupid, stupid. You are a human here on earth. You are evolving. We don’t get it perfect. We move along a continuum. The thing, the squirrel, that showed up was to point out where you are on your continuum. Look around your life and see where that squirrel issue is currently appearing in your life. Go take care of it. It might not be dead yet. Maybe you can nurse it back to health. Maybe you need to put it out of its misery. Either way, take care of the wounded squirrel you are dealing with. Understand it in the larger context of your life.

As for the acceleration? Well, you can have it if you want it. That is where Pluto wants to take you. That is where you are evolving to ~ if you push yourself just the teeny, tiniest bit. Did you happen to notice how scared, excited and jump up and down your insides got when you were accelerating? It won’t be like that forever, (sadly, that excited feeling does fade with time) but for right now ~ look at it. Enjoy it. Dance around in it. You can have it if you want to work on it, for it and toward it. That is your next evolution. That is where Pluto wants to take you when he gets back into Capricorn. You got a taste of what could come, if you want to go there. How did that taste of depth feed your deeper soul? Wasn’t it so cool?

Forward to the next week. Remember Neptune is still lurking and moving closer to the nodes ~ our addictions are going to be up ALL MONTH so watch the overeating, drugs, sugar, liquor, food, gambling or where ever you go to get yourself lost from your feelings and to drug yourself out. Avoid those negative Neptunes. Try to sit in the feelings for a bit, if you can. See what the feelings are telling you. If you sit in them, they do dissolve. You have to be with the feelings for them to go away. Acknowledge them. Don’t medicate them.

In the week ahead, there are many Sun, Mercury and Venus aspects ~ bringing us along in our consciousness. Mars in Cancer finally leaves his retrograde shadow and reenters the boundaries of the Sun so he takes up where he left off last November to go forward again ~ brave, strong, intuitive and security conscious (if a bit whiny) to new territory. Expect the late last September to mid-November story to be up in your life again for you to look at. All part of the process. Mercury still has a razor sharp tongue so be careful but he is not as bad as last week’s mouth.

Monday, use the energy from the New Moon in Aries to make needed adjustments in what you value. So what DO you value? The whole point of last week was to focus your attention on what you value and adjust your behavior towards it, removing blocks, dealing with dead squirrels or moving you rapidly along your path towards what you said you wanted. If it felt like you were called out on something, how do your values NOT align with what you say you want? If your values don‘t align with what you say you want, why not? Make the needed adjustments. Today. Take some action to get your values in line with your structures and what you say you want for your future. Kind of like the people who say they are on a diet even as they order French fries, a big Mac and a large chocolate milk shake with an apple pie ~ do that kind of raised eyebrow energy toward your life and the dead squirrel issue in it. Get your vision clear. Shake those cobwebs out! Get your actions working in line to move toward your stated vision. Or change your mind! Or change your vision. You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to. You can change your mind.

Tuesday we have a very long void moon in Taurus as Mercury communes with the Nodes of destiny. Yesterday Mercury evaluated where he was on his stated desired path. Does Mercury still want it? Do you still want it? You can change your mind. Listen as Venus whispers to Jupiter, he of the hammer building, relating, connecting, expansive energy wanting to construct and connect something, anything in your life. Jupiter is starting to slow down before his station next month. The conversations the planets have with Jupiter over the next month or so are very important as they represent the thing(s) Jupiter will be working on while he is retrograde and going back to Mid-February‘s energy to start over.

Wednesday we have a cranky kind of day ~ or maybe an adjusting your focus kind of day if you are not off course. Sun is setting off the Uranus/ Jupiter aspect that is in the sky until September. Look at what you have. Come up with a new strategy to get to where you want to go. You can do it, if you want to. Today the duality inherent in our choices will be prominent. We want our life to be perfect ~ or the way we want it. Yet we don’t want to change our behavior or take the needed steps to get there. Some how you will see that energy in your life ~ the contrast between what you say you want and what you are doing to get yourself there. Have you ever noticed that if you WANT to do something (like see a movie or go to dinner); you have no problem making the arrangements? Yet for this thing, that you SAY you want, you have a problem. Some resistance. Why? What is that about? Ponder the answer to the question and tie it back to the dead squirrel dug up last week. Push gently at the space.

Thursday again another long void moon even as there are many aspects in the sky. Expect ah-ha moments today. As in ah-ha, I see what that dead squirrel was for. Ah-ha I get it. Ah-ha! Ahhhh! HAH! Sun pushes on Jupiter so there is a bit of a tendency to over do. Mercury squares Mars who is free from his shadow (at long last) and able to take action. Again watch out for sharp mouth and cutting words energy ~ you can say things today that are received much sharper than you’ll ever know. Mercury has an aspect of awakening with Uranus ~ what ever they say today know they really believe it! Mercury is going to blurt things out. If what you hear is a deal breaker, WALK AWAY!! Walk away fast. You are NOT going to get them to change. If what you hear is a deal maker, seal it today. Act on it!

Friday think about yesterday ~ same thing applies today. Mercury is in an action taking aspect with Saturn. Deal maker or deal breaker. Act. Even if you are not sure! Act. Trust the heavens.

Saturn’s day Moon is occulted by Mercury. Sign the contract. Take the action ~ walk away or do the deal. Note the hidden details ~ they will need to be fleshed out but get the commitment in place or end it. The structure, the bones of the deal. Venus has an aspect of brilliance with Saturn suggesting you are ready to move onto the next part of your life. Mercury says some of this is the dead squirrel fear. Things end. We all have wounds. That is your wound. There is their wound. Some wounds never heal. Others do and leave a scar. Speak up! Speak up! I had a client with Mars in Leo, meaning danger from lions and all Leo ruled things, in the First House, come to my house for a reading. My new rescue cat, a mellow, sleepy kind of fellow, was curled up; sound asleep on a box behind the chair she was supposed to sit it. She stood there, not quite sure what to do. Asked about the cat. “Does he move?” “Nope”, I replied. “He does like Leos and fire signs but I think he’s an Aries as he head butts things” I went to get us tea. I come back. She’s still standing there. My other cat arrived to say hello, in his Gemini role as my client greeter. Now she was surrounded and looking a bit nervous. Remembering that Mars in Leo in her first house (danger even from BABY lions like my very cute cats), I asked her if she wanted me to put the cats into my bedroom. She nodded. As I put them away, she related that when she was little, she’d had a cat jump on her back, claws out. So, sitting with a cat sleeping behind her back during an astrology reading was completely NOT working for her! Whatever your cat sleeping behind your back issue is today, speak up, speak up! They won’t know if you don’t tell them. Tell them. You will feel SO much better when the cat gets put in the bedroom.

Sunday Sun and Venus have lovely aspects with Neptune suggesting a beautification project around your home, a day spent in nature, music, creativity and beauty. As you indulge, notice the messages from Uranus and Jupiter ~ draws the connections. Make the links. We study the heavens to know what to notice down here on earth. We look at the star and planetary patterns to see our lives in a different way ~ from a more cosmic perspective of our soul‘s path and destiny. Whatever you notice today, make sure to make note of it. It is going to be important down the road apiece. You are just fine. You are evolving. It is all as it is suppose to be. You are right where you are. Be in the moment. Love nature as it surrounds you. Understand the cycles are for your evolution!

Mundane: With Pluto’s retrograde station and backwards movement, the stock market will appear to stabilize (and as the Fed pumps money into shoring up the investment banks). Behind the scenes, the underlying financial structure is continuing to deteriorate. When the hedge funds unwind, they will unwind SUPER FAST! When the hedge funds unwind, the market will collapse with them. While the banks have access to the Fed money, the hedge funds have access to the banks. There is a giant bank robbery going on now. Eliot Spitzer was organizing the 50 governors to sue the Federal Government to get them to deal with the predatory lenders and the mortgage crisis. They took him out with a nice political assassination. (5,000 wire taps to take down a prostitution ring? Please! What else were they listening to old Eliot say and to whom?)

So your job, while the bank robbery takes place, is to make sure your money, (including your IRA/ Roth’s ~ move the investments to safe stuff WITHIN the IRA/Roth’s, don’t cash them out) is in a safe, secure place. Just move money ~ what you will need for the next 3 to 5 years for retirement, college tuitions, living money, bill money etc ~ into safer stuff. Your secret stash so to speak. Make that stash FDIC insured ($100,000 per person per account at a COMMERCIAL bank, not an INVESTMENT bank), so it is not able to be completely lost. Stocks can be completely lost! Put the money in a place you can get to, with a door ~ not into those online things like Paypal or ING. Out of the risky investments and move stuff into gold, foreign currency, USA currency, or large cap stocks (big companies like Proctor and Gamble etc). Pay off, pay off, pay off your debt ~ when the crash comes, you will be glad you did.

Take your money off the table and get out of the saloon before the shooting starts!

New Moon April 5 2008

11:55 pm EDT

8:55 pm PDT

16:44 Aries Sun and Moon

Our new moon in Aries features a vital, hard charging and incredibly active T-Square with the Sun and the Moon at the apex of the energy. Whee haw!! Get ready for a wild ride of a month as we launch ourselves into the season of Spring from the launching pad of a cardinal rocket! Please keep your eyes WIDE OPEN and launch yourself into the next chapter of your life.

The Cardinal T-square forms between out of bounds Mars in Cancer and Jupiter in Capricorn and the Sun and Moon in Aries. Mars and Jupiter both dislike the signs they are in. However, they are also in mutual reception ~ and the mutual reception puts them in to signs they love. The trick with mutual receptions is to seek the higher level of the energy consciously and push things out into the world to have them take form.

Mars also rules the Sun and Moon in Aries ~ he is in water and goes back to that Moon in Aries. The imagery is all about steam ~ hot water, steamy, head of steam, rolling boil, heated up, hot head and simmering. Hot, hot water. Streams of hot steam flowing! Now hot water compressed and directed can do many wonderful things.

Steam boils and foams the milk in our Café Lattes and Cappuccinos. It can clean acres of soot off buildings and garage floors. It releases into pipes and heats your house, your hot water heater or makes your tea pot whistle. It softens your blocked pores and lets the blackheads ease out painlessly. It used to drive the steam engines before there were gasoline and combustion engines.

The point of the new moon in Aries is to direct all that lovely, lovely steamy energy towards your new life direction. Don’t blast your local environment with the steam ~ or burn the folks near and dear to you. Send that head of steam off into new directions. Launch your stuff out into the heavens or forward in your life. Take advantage of the force of the steam to move your life forward three or four giant umbrella steps.

I saw a lovely Broadway musical in previews, “A Catered Affair” by Harvey Fierstein and John Bucchino. In it, after a steamy, explosive episode between the husband and wife, Harvey sings to his sister, the wife, about remembering when they were children and riding on the cyclone, a very large, scary and rickety wooden roller coaster on Coney Island Beach. He sings about how she kept her eyes closed for the whole ride and only opened them at the very end. He suggests she open her eyes now as her ride is half way over and she needs to look at her life.

Last week’s Pluto station and the shift of Mercury and Venus into Aries blew a head of steam at some part of your life. Look at where the steam went. See what it looks like now that the steam has cleared it, cleaned it, steamed it and most probably softened or foamed it. Open your eyes and look at your life. Your ride is half way over.

Lynda Hill’s interpretation of the Sabian Image for the Sun and the Moon is TWO PRIM SPINSTERS SITTING TOGETHER IN SILENCE

Commentary: ‘Two Prim Spinsters’ are shown ‘Sitting Together in Silence’. This Symbol shows people that know and understand each other, without the need for chatter. Feelings of contentment can come in time spent with a special friend, someone who you feel completely at ease with. A real sense of understanding of what the other is feeling and thinking can be a central quality of strong companionship. Of course, the ‘Two Spinsters’ may not be together through choice, but rather through life situations.

Oracle: In the situation facing you, remember that it is easy to become socially isolated when you hold on to conservative, judgmental, or moral ideas. Ask yourself if there is a select, restricted group with whom you are associating. Look for any opportunities to open up to deeper and further levels of communication. Be wary that a false sense of security doesn’t isolate you from change and growth. People don’t want to talk to each other if they feel their relationship has become boring, with nowhere to go and without much of a future. If people have nothing to say to each other should they spend their time together? Unresolved issues may be too difficult to discuss, they can lie beneath the surface causing fear, isolation and loneliness. ‘Silence’ or quietness can conceal frustration or feelings of sacrifice and loss. If there are no children in their lives, as they are said to be unmarried women, ‘Spinsters’, is that an issue? There is an old-fashioned belief, which says: It is important to our friends to believe that we are unreservedly frank or honest with them and important to friendship that we are not. That may have suited conditions in the past, but now we have to be open, honest and communicative, with others and with ourselves!

Keywords: The need to loosen up emotional blockages. The struggle to hold onto one’s original identity. Compromise because of social expectations. Meditations that communicate. Exclusive relationships. Relationships that have a quiet “knowing”. Dignified silence. Inner withdrawal. Communicating through body language. The

Caution: Emotional isolation. Refusing to accept relationship. Pretending to be someone that one is not. Disapproval of younger, more vital energies. Being fussy and judgmental. Chattering that is not conducive to growth or true relating. Gossip. Difficulty in communicating. Being shutoff, or shutdown.
