Weekly Weather August 31, 2009

It’s a short, fast moving week without a lot of aspects yet asking us to do a lot of work. Okay, I am a Virgo, so I believe in preparation and plans…. Next month there is SO much going on, you need to get ready for it starting right now. And this week is a great week to start!

Think Roto-tiller. The eclipses softened or weakened or removed things that you are not going to need when Pluto gets into Capricorn for good, strong and true. Pluto does that NEXT week, when Pluto goes direct on September 11^th. This week and next, Pluto’s at the degree of his station and also on the world axis of highly public events, pushing, pushing, pushing on you, me and each of our fellow human beings to evolve, grow up and be responsible. Around you are things planted in your life that you don’t need or want any more. Roto-tiller time! Take the roto-tiller to them! Dig up the soil they are planted in. Till the land around the undesired plants or people. Turn them. Twist them. Pull on them. Get them out of the landscape of your life. Break them up into small pieces so you can get them out of your garden, house or life. Put them in a pile to compost.

Think Compost Pile. Compost piles recognize that the detritus of our life is actually useful and can be recycled into cool stuff for the gardens in our lives to use. The detritus served a purpose. Yet, it is finished. We don’t need those potato peels, apple cores or leftover broccoli stalks. We don’t need those negative thoughts, difficult people or stressful situations any more. We are able, and encouraged actually, to throw them all on to the Compost Pile. If they really want to be in our lives, they can crawl off that compost pile and wiggle their way back into the kitchen and our hearts. (Hopefully with a change of attitude or behavior). But consider composting them!

Think Recycle bin. Your junk is another person’s treasure. Ebay makes many millions letting you sell your old stuff on their “electronic garage sale” so it can become some one else‘s new stuff. Leftovers put to use and made into soup. Donate. Recycle. Sell it on Ebay. Post it on Craig’s list. Give it to Good will. Clear out the stuff you no longer need. Remove their numbers from your cell phone. Rip their cards and letters up. Delete their email addresses. Donate the people or situations you no longer want in your life to the Cosmic Good Will.

Saturn in Virgo is when we learn skills that we will take out into the world. It is our cosmic apprenticeship so to speak. The Universe wants us to assess our skills to see where they can still be improved. The Universe wants us to look at the stuff that isn’t working so well any more, clean it up and let it go. The Universe wants us to recognize which of our skills are going to be the ones we hone as we head out into Pluto in Capricorn. Only the most useful, practical and helpful, due to Capricorn’s influence, are going to be what you actually need. For the rest, you are going to be charged $15 per bag by the airlines so you can take it with you! Do you actually NEED it?

If in doubt, throw it out. Virgo is the Cinderella sign of the zodiac as Virgo rules the house of the father‘s second wife ~ who is the one who made Cinderella hang out cleaning the fireplace and doing the laundry. Of course, Cinderella agreed (because she didn’t know better) to hang out by the fireplace and do the chores. Cinderella’s been learning all sorts of things over the past few months. Cinderella's been learning all sorts of stuff since Virgo and Saturn started dancing together in Fall 2007. She knows she doesn’t HAVE to hang out and clear our the cinders any more. She knows it is a choice to stay now. Well, Cindy, you are about to get an invitation to go to the ball when Saturn moves into Libra. Your fairy god mother (who, truth be told, is actually YOU changing your approach to the parts of your life that aren‘t working) is about to appear. You need to get ready.

We are each going to face moments of personal truth in September. We will each be asked to change our ways ~ change our behavior or choices to evolve and grow into the next chapter of our lives. Or we will decide to stay the same, stick with the course and sink back into our lives, unchanged, due to fear of the unknown or the difficulty of changing or for any one of 1,001 excellent stories/ reasons we tell ourselves and others.

However, if in the quiet of your soul, you are staying where you don’t want to stay because of fear, both the universe and Saturn know. Your soul knows. It is going to start to ache very badly in the months ahead.

If you are beating a strategic retreat and don’t like the DIRECTION of the changes you are making due to finances, housing, health or other reasons, AND you STILL have a plan to change your life, no worries. You have the time delayed change plan. April and July of 2010 will offer you a chance to change the structure of your life yet again. If you are of the 1,001 reasons why you CAN’T change due only to fear, you will also have two more options in April and July. Listen to your heart. Living in a situation that you hate is hard on the psyche, body and soul.

The week ahead features stressful yet take action aspects ~ sesquiquadrates galore! The combination of a square and semi-square, sesquis (as they prefer to be called <wink> by their friends) are 135 degree angles. Squares contribute 90 degrees while semi-squares throw in 45 degrees. Sesquis add to a 9 of perfection, completion and karma. Take action to relieve the stress. Action will make you feel better. The stress points to the place or point of growth for your soul. The action relieves the stress. Plus you get something accomplished.

There also is a Full Moon on September 4, culminating the story begun in March of 2008, a year and a half ago. Mercury slows to his station degree. He goes retrograde on September 7. Pluto is grinding into the world axis, preparing for his station and turning direct on September 11^th. A world axis Pluto station means we can expect big news in our lives and our world over the next few weeks. Any planets sitting on the world axis make us VERY aware of what is going on in the world around us. Pluto, lord of the underworld, in a cardinal action taking sign, stopping on it often, historically, has caused major wars, eruptions or earthquakes to take place. History has turned and changed directions on Pluto stations, particularly stations on the world axis!

That is why I want you to get ready to change directions in the next few weeks. Start to prepare NOW so you’ll be ready to GO when the time comes. No use running around with a laundry basket of unfinished tasks when your fairy god mother appears to dress you for the ball. Roto-tiller. Compost. Recycle. Pack. Plan. Get ready.

Monday Moon in Capricorn early in the day offers a solid opportunity to get the week off to a good start. There is a void moon at 2:09 pm east coast time that runs till 11:43 pm so take the afternoon for rest and planning about what you are going to recycle, compost or roto-tiller over the next two weeks. Saturn asks you to adjust. Remember if it is a OLD soul wound, it doesn’t have to move forward with you while Pluto is journeying through Capricorn. He only asks that you LEARN from the wound. That you look at what the wound gave you and adjust your behavior. If you take the approach that I do that the wound was needed to GET YOU TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW, you can see it for the growth, pain and pruning that it gave to you. Understand the wound as part of what your soul needed. You received it. You don’t have to keep doing the same old, same old, stirring the wound up and making it bleed. You only have to agree to change a teeny tiny bit and everything around you will start to shift too. Venus and Uranus join with the North Node and Juno respectively by declination asking you to make a teeny tiny shift. Shift towards adding more of what you love. Move towards what you want to partner with going forward in your life. All profound change is ultimately incremental and process oriented when it begins. Radical changes take place when the incremental changes don’t cut it any more and the Universe or fate knocks us off our horse with a lightening bolt like Saul on the Road to Damascus. We are at a cross roads between incremental and radical changes. Change incrementally so the radical change, when it arrives, finds you ready and willing to go. Radical change can be expected mid-month of September. Get ready.

Tuesday Moon in Aquarius has us taking the 20,000 foot view of our lives with a detached vision or approach. Venus has an aspect of easy brilliance to Pluto so she’s working from a place of love (Leo) and what is best for your Sun to be able to shine its brightest. Is the situation before you helping you shine? Are you hiding your light under a bushel? What good does that do you or any one? The more you live in your authentic soul’s life and heart’s desire, the better it is for the rest of the world, particularly those around you who love you. Pallas Athena has a sesqui to the North Node of Destiny while Mercury in Libra has a sesqui to Jupiter hanging out with the Gang of Three. Action taking under stress. Action taking relieves the stress. Time for some truth telling folks. Action taking under stress. Action taking relieves the stress. I once read a book called Radical Honesty which advised you answer people honestly at all times even when the social or kind lie might be a better or easier choice. Clearly the book was written by a fellow with a Stellium in Sagittarius! However, right now, with Mercury in Libra, ruled by Leo Venus, the universe suggests you stand in a love place and speak your truth. Speak with Radical Honesty about your heart. Speak of your fears. Speak of your hopes. Love yourself. Be kind to the other person in the story. But DO MAKE SURE TO speak the truth of what YOU would like. They are then fully and completely informed. They can make a choice if they would like to participate with you in the vision you have of your future. They know what they would like in THEIR future. You can partner with them or not but at least the truth rests between the two of you.

Wednesday Moon is in Aquarius all day long….. Great day to get the stuff ready to go to Good Will, the compost pile or to roto-tiller. Take the big picture of what you really need and want in your life going forward. What’s the vision? What’s the hope and dream? What serves the greater good of your being? Sometimes the greater good of your being is not the same as the other guys’ greater good. And when that happens, you reach a cross roads. Today is just such a day. Mars has a sesqui with Jupiter. Action taking under stress. Action taking relieves the stress. Mars in Cancer can be a bit self protective even as it wants to nurture. Boundaries are suggested. When it comes right down to it we are each responsible for our own lives and our own outcomes. Sure we are interdependent on the other people in our lives but our soul is aching for us to be true to its vision for our life. What is your soul aching for? Can you take a teeny tiny step toward that? Do you see how to do it yet? Teeny tiny….Venus has a hard aspect to Saturn saying sometimes you have to let go of what you have to go for the dream. You have to let go of the trapezee bar to fly through space to the next trapezee bar. There is a net! Saturn is your net. You are doing your Saturn when you go for your dream ~ particularly the dream you are SO AFRAID of or were discouraged from doing when you were young and impressionable. Go for your dream today. Or make a vision or plan of what that dream looks like.

Thursday Moon in Pisces softens the Mercury Mars square. It is a consciousness opening square with Mercury is going to see that Mars is acting from a place of fear. See the soul of the person. Talk to that. Talk to the soul of the person. Or talk to YOUR soul. The mess that is causing the fear is what they are afraid of. Encourage them to take teeny tiny steps to roto-tiller it. Or compost it. Or recycle it. Some one else will want what they no longer want but are holding on to out of fear. Same with you. Roto-tiller the fear too! It is not something you need to carry forward. So much of the time we are controlled or inhibited by our fears. As they grow and get louder, bigger and stronger, we shrink and get smaller and smaller. Do you want that for yourself? Why? Go sit for a while with your inner Cinderella, the scared little girl in the corner afraid to do more than make a peep to ask for a crumb of bread. Your needs aren’t many. But you need to take care of yourself. You need to help your soul get to where it wants to go. Compost what you don’t need any more.

Venus in Leo knows what she wants. Uranus in Pisces is the agent of change that can help her get there. Venus has to take actions to move towards the changes she wants. Neptune pushes off from Vesta. Once Cinderella stands up and takes a stand for herself, she can’t go back to hanging out quietly by the fire place sweeping the cinders. Think of the people throughout history that stood their ground, holding strong to their beliefs and convictions. Their firm stance changed their world and ours. The various Kennedys. Anwar Sadat. Nelson Mandela. Rosa Parks. George Washington. Patrick Henry. Gandhi. Winston Churchill. Joan of Arc. Ronald Reagan. Martin Luther King. Florence Nightingale. It doesn’t have to be a big change. It just means you have to stand in your truth. Make a small change and stand in your truth.

Saturn’s day finds Venus joining with Mars by declination in the heavens. Yes, it is that easy! See how easy it was to stand in your truth? It shifted your world a teeny tiny bit. If you continue to stand in your truth, you will continue to shift the world. Pisces moon works with the outer planets to get ready for the return of school days, work days and September's end of the growing season and harvest. Moon is void for the afternoon making it a great day to compost, recycle and redistribute the things you no longer need.

Sunday Moon in Aries ruled by Mars in Cancer means you will have to take action, whether you want to or not. Action taking under stress. Action taking relieves the stress. We have yet another sesqui ~ actually TWO sesquis! Mars sesqui to Chiron ~ actions can cause wounds. You have to take action to move past the wound. Don’t be afraid. Take action. Sun sesquis the North Node of Destiny ~ there before you is a fork in the road. You are going to have to choose, very soon, whether you evolve, stay the same or de-evolve. Stand in the quiet place where you can hear your soul whisper in your ear. Think of your life up to now and know that the cross roads before you is a very important moment in your life. Listen to what your heart wants. Listen to your soul’s whispers. Say yes to giving yourself permission to move toward your dream. Just a teeny tiny step. One step. Then another. And soon you are on the road to your dream.

Another mildly turbulent week as we enter into Virgo Sun’s energy of wanting to clean things up and organize every thing into neatly functioning packages. Not so fast say the energies in the sky! We have a bit more information to reveal to you before we can go full steam ahead with Virgo‘s pick up, pitch out or pile in order energy.

The eclipse season is officially finished. We have the changes that are taking place in our lives identified, in place or in process. Now we move toward the next chapter of our lives. Our week ahead knows we need to learn a few things and get a few things straightened out before we can move forward with out post it notes, reminder emails or last dregs of details. We actually have until the New Moon on September 18, with milestones at September 11 and 15 to help clear out the last bits of our old stuff from Pluto in Sagittarius and have our new lives in order, ready for Pluto in Capricorn and partnering with our soul’s evolution. This month is a get it done month with the New Moon in Leo from last week lighting up the remaining jobs and outstanding items. A giant cosmic to-do list is coming your way….

Three planets and an asteroid change signs, all of them from the most personal part of our life and chart. These are the planets that bring us the information we need to connect, relate and coordinate with the world. Mars, Mercury and Venus shift signs as does Vesta, the asteroid of home and hearth. Mars allows us to take action, not direct action but family oriented, self nurturing action. Mercury teaches us to communicate in a balanced and honorable way. Venus asks us to go from standing in the position of our desires, heart or love focus. Vesta offers us a new nest or place to rest our head ~ a place that loves us and wants us to feel loved. These planets also aspect the nodes at the late degrees and Pluto at the early degrees of Cancer/ Capricorn. The planets will ask us to PROCESS EMOTIONS, FIGHT, ADJUST or LET GO of what we seek to own as our own. Going to be fun on earth this week as we figure out what the planets are telling us we need to tackle to get clear on which topic! So many swirling energies all talking to Pluto and Cancer’s retention, nurture energy or Capricorn’s boundary, tough love energy in the Nodes of Destiny.

You will feel like a bit of a yo-yo as you bounce back and forth between these energies. No worries about which planet or energy choice to do when. Take a deep breath. Center yourself. Tell Virgo Sun to stop worrying about it. Focus on the vision of where you are going (or where you would like to go). Do NOT worry about the HOW you are going to get there. The universe will take care of the HOW. Just show up, be present and do what is in service of the higher good of the moment. It will all work out. It is one of those magical weeks of movement and change.

Mars changes signs into Cancer where he becomes quite a bit more sneaky and passive aggressive. Mars acts, always, in his OWN interest rather than in yours or the other guy’s interest when he finds himself in Cancer. So watch for sneaky actions or slippery behavior or skidding away sideways in haste or grabbing on and not letting go ~ Cancer crab stuff. Mars in Cancer clings on to what he wants or has rather than sharing it like he is supposed to. So make an ally of Mars (or make an ally of someone Mars is afraid of) so Mars will act FOR YOU rather than against you.

If you find yourself in a situation that requires you to take action and you find yourself feeling possessive or retentive, know that it is Mars in Cancer that WANTS YOU TO LOOK OUT FOR YOUR OWN or your family’s SELF INTEREST. Pay attention. If you feel like skidding away, that means the attack is in place and you need to stay and push for what you want. No skidding away. Just fold your arms across your chest and look the danger, sideways, in the eye. Get a bigger crab to help you. Mars in Cancer allows you to take roundabout actions that get you where you want to go ~ OPEN copies on emails to THEIR boss laying out how uncooperative they were, inviting powerful thirds into the triangle like lawyers, the court, the police, the judge, or the sister that your brother is afraid of. Mars in Cancer is going to make all of us a bit more defensive about our actions to protect ourselves. Proceed like a crab does, tiny, sideways steps, gathering information and holding onto it. Intuition is heightened on this Mars so trust your gut when it is telling you one thing and the words you are hearing are telling you something else.

Mercury changes signs too. He enters Libra where he’s looking for balance and partnership. Last week on Monday, the 17th, (which I forgot to mention in last week‘s column), Mercury entered his shadow starting the story for the upcoming Mercury retrograde in September. So what seemed a bit odd about what you heard last Monday or Tuesday? You are going to spend most of September working on clearing up THAT story and getting to the bottom of it. Libra rules balanced communications as well as the law, partnerships and enemies so new alliances, unions or perhaps difficulties can begin.

Venus goes into Leo making her playful, flirty and fun as well as a bit of a drama queen on a bad day. Venus is all about honor, pride and passion when she is in Leo so act with honor and keep your word on things this week. Find the thing that makes you passionate and resolve to spend more time doing it every day. Vesta in Leo wants us to beautify our homes (or offices) and make them a deep and true reflection of what lights up our lives and make us shine the brightest. Also Vesta loves candles when she is in Leo ~ or bonfires if you can find one on the beach near where you live.

The other news this week is the Mercury, Mars and Pluto t-square in the cardinal or action taking signs. T-Squares are difficult energy patterns which involve three (or more) planets fighting with each other or perhaps a more evolved vision is planets asking each other to take action and disagreeing about what action to take. Mercury is in Libra so he is going to attempt to be diplomatic while Pluto in Capricorn opposes Mars in Cancer. The power is going to be pushing the action taking to do it in the right way. This is a talk softly and carry a big stick energy form. There are severe legal consequences to the issue or situation that if things are NOT handled properly will result in major, major problems. T-squares are moments in time when we are asked to standup for what is right, just, honorable and proper in the world. You will be asked to stand up for what is right and proper in your world this week. So listen to your heart and take the appropriate action. If you would want it done to YOU, then it is probably okay to do it to the other guy. If you would NOT like it done to you, then you need to stand clear and straight to block the activity being done to you. Obviously, this leaves out water boarding, stealing inheritances or embezzling money. It requires you to walk your talk.

Monday Moon moves between Libra and Scorpio. Moon has lovely closing aspects with Libra Moon offering good partnering energy and the ability to take action. You might hear something you don’t like today or that is wounding. Move on to the next opportunity, after you incorporate the changes that were suggested by the wounding situation. Venus in the last degrees of Cancer/ Capricorn is dancing with the nodes of destiny releasing something you thought was true about your family or your loves.

Tuesday Moon is in Scorpio as Mars and Mercury enter new signs, Cancer and Libra respective. When they do that, they set off the forming T-square with Pluto in Capricorn. Remember the T-square means you have to take action. Take action that you would want to have done to you. This story has been building for a while now so watch what you hear and see as yet another reveal happens today. Scorpio Moon is quite aggressive as Mars in Cancer rules him. Scorpio Moon is going to seek to hide or keep out the information not supportive or assisting her agenda. Time to speak softly and carry a big stick. If your gut is telling you something different than the words you are hearing, trust your gut. Ask to see the paper work. Call the banks and tell them your mother died so your brother can’t run off with the money. Banks freeze bank accounts and can reverse recent transfers in the event of a death not reported and a now invalid power of attorney. Use the power of PLUTO in the t-square ~ enlist a more powerful third ~ to help you get what you want or need. Open the triangle to include the power as an ally to yourself. Mars is inconjunct the Nodes of Destiny so you won’t WANT to take these actions but DO take them. Act in your higher good ~ not your insecure good ~ but for your higher good. Follow your gut. Mercury’s trine to the North Node allows the energy to work out the way it is supposed to IF you stand firm or stand up to the T-square. Speak your truth. Venus and Vesta meet in late Cancer and let you get settled back home and into your routines of comfort.

Wednesday Moon is void most of the afternoon in Scorpio as the t-square with Pluto, Mercury and Mars forms. Venus drops into the South Node of Cancer releasing some desire energy of yours or removing something of value to you. The news may be shocking or difficult. Persevere. Venus enters Leo so go for the honorable approach in your desires. State them clearly. Speak your truth. Venus in Leo now rules that Mercury in Libra ~ honor is required. The T-square perfects today so follow up on the energy of speaking your truth while carrying a big stick. Hold to the honor space. Mars in Cancer finishes his opposition to Pluto so the block and power struggle is about to finish.

Thursday Moon in Sagittarius adds an expanding energy to the story with her pleasant aspects all day long. Venus needs to adjust to her new sense of Power as she aspects Pluto. Rules are made for such situations. Follow them. The nurturing energy of Ceres is being aspected by both Uranus and Neptune so make sure to honor nurturing and offer nurturing energy in different ways. Hold people to their higher self‘s vision. Venus is not happy with Mars’ actions but she knows why he did what he did even if it doesn’t excuse his behavior. Vesta clears things out of her house and releases them to the world with her drop into the South Node. What do you REALLY need? Why? What can you release today that no longer serves you? Go for it!

Friday Moon in Sadge continues to have lovely aspects with Jupiter allowing for expansion and legal matters are able to block Saturn from moving forward. Mercury and Venus chat about what needs to be done. Mercury realizes he will need to back track and reverse the situation from last week when he entered into his shadow, but that is okay. The upcoming Mercury retrograde is going to be a rocking and rolling one! Mercury’s on the matter! He’s paying attention. You pay attention too! Vesta enters Leo today. She wants you to create a nest or space for yourself that supports your soul’s purpose and allows your dream to take root and fly high! No fears about how or who. Just show up and do the work of your Saturn to make your dreams come true. It is that easy. Do your Saturn. Sun has an aspect of brilliance to the North Node of Destiny offering you a way to proceed. Yes, do follow that idea or work with that connection. It is part of your path.

Saturn’s day finds the Moon in Capricorn, making it a very productive and serious day. You can find good partners today. Partner with something that makes your heart sing and encourages you to take action to move more or move forward. Juno in Aries is talking to Venus in Leo encouraging a partnership that makes your love(s) content. Moon has a number of interesting aspects during the night so watch for interesting information to arrive in your dreams or through messages you receive.

Sunday Moon in Capricorn continues to offer opportunities for you to do your work, as outlined by your Saturn. Mars takes action around the new partnership you formed the other day. Pluto asks you to adjust how you feel about your home ~ perhaps moving or adjusting things in it into the change energy of your next chapter. This a great day for organizing a garage sale or house cleaning. (as was yesterday). It is a great day for laying out the next chapters of your life on your to-do list. Capricorn Moon will talk to Saturn about what you are doing and how to go about it in a healthful and productive manner. Trust the process. Trust that you are right where you are supposed to be. Give your self over to your on going evolution. While it might feel like winter in your life, know that winter is only a season and that spring is right around the corner.

Mundane: I was totally thrilled to see the Secret Service book emerge as the assassination theme for last week’s New Moon aspects. While it was a bit disconcerting to hear HOW MANY death threats are lodged against our elected presidents, it was also comforting to know that the Secret Service is on it. I won’t be complaining any more when the many streets are blocked or the corner mailboxes removed when the President comes to visit New York City.

I’ve been a bit out of the news loop at my astrology conference in Chicago. However, I’ve been learning all sorts of new and cool things to include in the mundane section going forward about the upcoming cardinal t-square. We all will be asked to reinvent our selves and make more locally sustainable communities. Our job is to PROTECT our wealth and capital with secure investments like gold for another two years or so. The financial astrologers here are forecasting two more major, MAJOR major DOWN shifts in the market (probably tied to currency and our foreign debt) which I’ll include in the columns in the weeks ahead once I decipher my notes. So slowly, slowly back into the financial markets and put a chunk of it in gold. Preserve capital if you need to live on it. Reports from the conference presenters are that gold will double in value over the next year as our currency becomes unstable. We can also expect severe inflation once that happens.

The up tick the market is experiencing now is optimistic. It will reverse late September to November (end of October is my thought) and again in January when the Gang of Three get out of Air, particularly Jupiter leaves it to get back down to earth.

Our August 20th New Moon dawns bright and early Thursday morning on the east coast of the United States. It takes place literally a few minutes before sun rise as the sky in the east turns a lovely warm color heralding the arrival of the new day, of a new lunar cycle and the official end of the eclipse season. It is a triple Leo New Moon with Ascendant, Sun and Moon rising in the east at dawn. There are 7 points in Fire, 7 points in Earth and 6 points in Air which makes it a passionate, practical and inspirational New Moon. Low on water, emotions will seek to find a way to show themselves and seep out where ever they can. Those among us with strong water charts will be doing extra duty as we balance the missing element in the sky.

The chart is a see-saw between the eastern and western horizons suggesting we will be involved with situations that request our participation. Like a see-saw, there is an up and down energy to the New Moon so expect highs and lows like you would if you were riding on a see-saw. All that fire energy in the first fire house makes flare ups and flash fires a real possibility in our lives and our world.

Adding to the passion and creation energy in the lunation, there is a mutable grand cross in the heavens falling into fixed houses ~ so we will be fixed and stable in our indecision and see sawing energy. Back and forth we go ~ one day this way, the next minute that way. Fixed in indecision is exactly where you are supposed to be! It is a bit too soon to know what you are going to do with your new life post eclipse season.

The arms of the mutable grand cross are Saturn/Mercury in Virgo in Taurus’ house, Pluto in Capricorn in Leo’s house, Uranus in Pisces in Scorpio’s house and Mars in Gemini in Aquarius’ house. Notice the mutable cross arms fall into like minded houses ~ earth/earth, earth/fire, water/water and Air/air ~ which serves to amplify the energy of fixed changeability even more. A chart will always tell you the theme it wants you to work with at LEAST three times, often more, to make sure you absolutely don’t miss it the message of the cosmos. Like a giant flashing NEON sign, the heavens are saying you don’t know what you don’t know and you don’t want to change that state of not knowing either. But you WILL want to fight about it publicly or argue about it or feel bad about it or not see how you can change it or not be able to understand the cost of it to your self esteem and worth.

Mars just finished his square to Uranus, Saturn and Mercury. He is finally free of their restrictions and has the ability to zoooom along. Those aspects marked a great time to let things go. Things will go if you let them! So on the New Moon start your NEW ROUTINE or ways of doing things that supports your new choices or a firm and final release of what you want to let go. Once Mars opposes Pluto next week, it will be completely eradicated.

Neptune is just briefly into the 7^th house which makes it a lovely chart for people to “project” their issues on to others. Listen reflectively and paraphrase back what you hear them say. When they say, “You never listen to me!” don’t correct them and point out all the times you DID listen to them. Say instead “If I understand you, you don’t think I listen to you.” Dig them deeper and deeper into THEIR own emotions. Don’t take their emotions on as your own or as your problem to solve. It is not your emotion but they will try to give their emotions to you. You can also paraphrase “So, you don’t feel listened to.” Mercury is joined to Saturn and part of the cross ~ we all will have to work hard to listen and be heard. Not much good listening skills taking place in the world right now.

The other side of that aspect is feeling that you are not seen or heard the way YOU would like to be seen or heard. Totally true. Sit in your feelings and dig down into it, deeper and deeper, to understand the origin of those feelings. After the profound changes from the eclipses, it can feel a bit rocky in your world. What used to be “known” and “clear” is not quite so known or clear any more. Exactly as it is supposed to be but still….. We all WANT clarity and don’t want to stay in the unknown ambiguous place. We get to be unclear and unknown for a bit longer. Remember to breathe.

There is a Finger of God, or yod, in the New Moon chart. Venus and Vesta in Cancer are sextile Mercury and Saturn in Virgo. Those four planets are inconjunct to the Gang of Three ~ Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune in Aquarius. The outlet of the yod is plugged by Sun, Moon and Ascendant in Leo. Fingers of God often bring life altering choices, situations or opportunities to us. Think of a giant Finger coming down and pointing you in a new direction.

You have to go in the new direction ~ there is a fated quality to it ~ whether you want to or don’t want to go that way, the finger is going to flick your butt and get you to head in a new way. If we look at the planets involved, Mercury and Saturn are the changing worriers ~ fretting over their skills or how they are going to do things in the next chapter of their life or complaining about how they are NOT able to do things. Venus and Vesta in Cancer are encouraging us to listen to our deeper desires and feelings of how we can nurture and take care of ourselves. That is part of why I suggested you practice reflective listening with those complaining to help them get clearer on what they want or to sit with your own feelings of dissatisfaction when they swell up. Then take those emerging energies and adjust the dream and direction of your life ~ take the energies to the Gang of Three and see how your vision for yourself and your life has changed.

The New Moon chart with only Venus, Vesta and Uranus in water asks us to be emotionally facile and flexible with changes. Venus is approaching a trine to Uranus so emotions can spring out of no where, very easily as changes are discussed or brought to your attention. You might need space and time to cry or find you are suddenly exceptionally emotional. All part of the clearing energy.

There are some difficult planets on difficult fixed stars and dark Arabic parts involved with this lunation. The fixed stars and Arabic parts point to sudden endings, seemingly out of no where, that involve violence, danger, imprisonment and assassination. It doesn’t have to be a literal assassination but the concept of sudden and shocking endings that come out of nowhere are part of the energy of the new moon too. The sudden endings can be spiritual, intellectual, emotional or physical and move you to a new place as part of the changes needed for Pluto’s journey through Capricorn.

Whenever an outer planet enters a new sign, it takes a while for us to get our “energetic legs” of how to balance the new energies and work with them effectively. We are getting our final version of our Pluto in Capricorn legs over the next few weeks. We’ll be able to get down to business and start to work more productively with the Capricorn energy as Pluto slows to a stop on the world axis and turns direct. The New Moon this week incorporates the Pluto station direct and launches the transformation process. To the extent that you’ve felt a bit unbalanced or thrown off by the shift in Pluto’s energy since January of 2008, now you start to be able to touch bottom and get your footing.

Commentary: ‘Many Little Birds Chirping on the Limb of a Large Tree’ is an image of fluttering and chirping, movement and song. The ‘Tree’ can seem packed with chattering and movement and yet the ‘Birds’ can be quite invisible. ‘Birds’ gathering, particularly at the end of the day, to chatter is common. The Symbol can reflect things like advertising, political campaigns, egotistical prattling and even children chatting and playing together.

Oracle: The common element in this Symbol is the attempt to have one’s voice heard above all the noise and din of the everyday world. It can be hard to gain the attention of others when there’s so much competition around. This also can be true when trying to listen to your own inner voice. It can feel like your needs or your voice is just one of so many, with little prospect or ability to have your ideas, opinions or plans heard. \Weekly Weather August 17, 2009

Apologies for the late column posting ~ it was a travel day for me to Chicago. I ran out of time!

It is a two page week! Every week I print out the aspects when I sit down to write the column. When the aspects spill onto a second page, I know we are in for a week with lots and lots of activity. It seems fitting after the extensive and profound eclipse season that took place to conclude eclipses with a two page week!

Our week ahead finds us at the end of eclipse season! YEAH! I am SO ready for this eclipse season to be over. Reflect back on the changes in your life and in our world since June 22, 2009. As we move forward into fall, we’ll come to a deeper understanding of what Pluto in Capricorn will mean to each of us in and through our lives. But first we get to wrap up eclipse season with a two page week!

The Sun enters Virgo, leaving behind the playful and creative sunshine energy of Leo for the structure, duty, back to school and work process energy of Virgo. Virgo Sun will trine Pluto pointing out our purpose and what some of our Capricorn tasks will be. We always encourage each other to do your Saturn. The trine will point out new methods that you can use. It will bring your Saturn job into sharp relief and offer you a new focus. While this change into Virgo Sun happens every year, THIS year the closing trine to Pluto at the world axis degree makes it easier for us to integrate and assimilate the information Virgo Sun needs to do a proper job. And Virgo Sun likes to do a proper job!

The North Node of Destiny enters Capricorn for an 18 month journey backwards to describe and layout the new structures we are going to build in our lives. The South Node of Destiny enters Cancer for an 18 month journey backwards and asks us to release inappropriate nurturing or figure out how to take care of ourselves a bit better. The Nodes move backwards through the zodiac, taking approximately 18 months in each sign.

The North node is leaving Aquarius where it was asking each of us to witness and observe our hopes and dreams and what became of them. How did we give love to our hopes and dreams? Now as the node moves into Capricorn, the North node will help us structure those dreams of ours and get them built so we can live our dream.

The South node has been going backward through Leo, redefining our creativity, love received and what we did for love. It helped us eliminate a bit of the drama, overdoing and ego based structures that prevented us from finding our true love. It asked us to learn to love ourselves rather than look for it from an external place.

My friend Mary Jayne shared an illumination that she had during the eclipse season ~ the We versus the Me process. Aquarius is the sign of the audiences so it is the natural WE. Leo is the sign of the performer who sings “I gotta be ME!”. The opening letter of WE ~ W ~ is an open and expansive letter, sharing its W contents with all who reach their hand into one the troughs. The opening letter of ME ~ M ~ holds and guards its‘ contents with sharp, pointy peaks, keeping out those who would take it from it. As the Nodes move out of the Leo (ME) and Aquarius (WE) signs this week, take time to think about the last 18 months and your ME/WE balance.

The Nodes would have adjusted that WE/ME balance as they journeyed through your Leo and Aquarius houses. What is your new understanding as they move out of those signs? I would anticipate there was a reduction in the ME energy and an increase in the WE energy as you clarified what was important to you and focused on your hopes and dreams. And the ME part of the energy might feel it lost some of its love and light if people left your life. However, the WE part found a new path, community, group or perhaps new friends or companions for the road ahead. All part of the Cosmic Course Correction system.

Now the Nodes start to move through Cancer asking us to let go of how we inadequately nurture our dreams. It is time to allow our dreams to grow up and become responsible for themselves with the guidance of Capricorn helped by Pluto and Saturn. We have to let the course of the cosmos guide us as the nodes move the swirl of evolving energy along.

The South Node also comes along and clips the New Moon eclipse energy we had on July 21. It clips it to take the legs out from under you OR to put some new legs in underneath where you lost your footing during the eclipses. Things from that July eclipse time can feel like they disappear into the ethers. Or you can finally start to feel like you can touch bottom again and can stand up in the sand without the water being over your head.

Remember sometimes the whole point of eclipses is to point out what the dream is and how the dream wants to come in. It happens because the light shifts ~ now you see it. The person or situation that you gave your dream to might NOT be the person or situation you go forward with to build your next dream with. The point is to KNOW IT IS THE DREAM. IT IS YOUR DREAM!

Don’t worry or fret if the person or situation before you can’t help you with your dream any more. The eclipse wanted to get you moving forward TOWARD your dream again. You can get to your dream and build it just fine, even if THEY are not there to help you. The point was to KNOW IT IS YOUR DREAM. And to know that you have a right to have your own dream. And, most important, BECAUSE YOU DREAMED IT, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO GO and MAKE YOUR DREAM COME TRUE.

The reason it is YOUR dream is because YOUR CHART describes the dream and wants it to happen. So give yourself permission to go forward toward your dream. Don’t listen to the folks who tell you all the reasons why your show won’t find a runner, your script won’t find a network, your book idea won’t sell, your poetry is too emotional, your hope of work abroad is futile, you are too old to have a baby, its too late to get a degree, you are too sick to get better, you are too poor to get out of debt, or you’ve been alone all these years so there is not a single person in the whole wide world who will ever love you. There is NO way that dream of yours is going to happen!

All that is a bunch of hoo~eey ~ and you can say that to them in a very loud voice. HOO-EEEY! Remember, the reason it is YOUR dream is because it is in YOUR chart! So don‘t listen to anyone who doesn‘t share your dream. If they don’t share your dream, it means your dream is NOT in THEIR chart. They can’t even wrap their tiny brains around it. In the same way you won’t go to a doctor who can’t help you get better, why are you EVEN listening to a person who is raining on your parade and telling you NO? Or telling you that your dream is a no go? Who are they to tell you that?

The week also features shocking news as well as a major explosion, rupture or separation of some sort ~ quite possibly (probably) violent. Mercury is opposite Uranus and Mars comes to square Uranus. Mars in Gemini implies a sibling energy and Mercury rules siblings so there could be another sibling loss or separation. You will see things clearly but you might not like what you see as the Sun clears the fog of Neptune.

There also is a New Moon which involves both of the lights, Sun and Moon in harmony with the Arabic Parts of Assassination and danger of violence. This doesn’t have to be physical death or violence but can appear as mental, emotional or spiritual endings or assassinations too. You see things you never saw before. You are attacked out of the blue by some one or some thing that you never saw coming. Saturn, Pluto and Mars are all in aspect to rather nasty fixed stars as Neptune joins with Pandora releasing a whole lot of spites as she opens that box of hers.

The best way to use difficult energy like this is to redirect it towards projects or situations that require a boost of strength or force or require energy to get going. Things want to leave your life forever so encourage them to go if you want them to go. They will go! And the door will slam behind them on their way out. No dangling or threatening to end things ~ people will take it literally. No fights and hanging up the phone in a huff ~ it won’t be answered again.

This is a great set of aspects for all sorts of endings as the clipped, crisp and sharp nature of the planets in their mutable t-square really clears things out and cuts them off. On the other hand, avoid dark places, dangerous situations and pay extra special attention while traveling or driving. OTHER people are having this aspect too ~ so they may very well NOT be paying a bit of attention to where YOU are on the road, focused as they are, completely focused, on their OWN stuff. No mouthing off to people as tempers will be flaring and people are quite hot under the collar. WE can expect to witness brawling and fights between siblings or neighbors as the ME is having the last hurrah before the Node moves off into Cancer/Capricorn. It will end if you push it just a teeny bit. Firings too!

So we can anticipate quite a week ahead of us. Keep your mind focused on the new beginnings that are going to pop right up out of those endings too. The eclipses will leave with more of a bang than they arrived with. And then, we get back to our regular lives, changes firmly in place and made.

Monday’s Moon in Cancer is very sensitive to surroundings and situations. Mercury joins with Saturn to say the news is not great or very good. Probably a no even. That is okay. Proceed on to your next step or to Plan B. Today there are many aspects that make you feel like you are Sisyphus pushing the rock up the hill only to feel it roll back down. Mars has a cooperative trine to Neptune allowing you to get further into the plans or dreams than you ever have before as you close the day. Under the cloak of darkness, action is taken. Patterns or habits you never noticed before become clearer. You can also change them by partnering on a small scale with a tiny change, executed daily. You can get things accomplished today if you move early and fast. You need to make adjustments when faced with a group that says no but after than it is clear sailing.

Tuesday Moon in Leo adds passion to the story and a bit of bravado too. Mercury wants you to tell your story ~ all of it ~ don’t leave out bits to make it shorter or sweeter. In the telling of the story, you find new meanings. Or perhaps the questions from the listener help you understand it a bit better. Or in the reaction you receive an offer with new insights into what it actually means. Sun has an adjusting aspect to Uranus and requests he be a bit less skittish and live more in the moment or adjust the lights. Audio visual problems and computer problems abound. Chaos is all over the place. Unexpected or unanticipated matters will cause you to lose focus for a moment or a while. Change your patterns and habits again today. The assassination attempt of today or yesterday is finished when Mars perfects his square with Uranus at 10:24 pm EDT. Now you get to deal with the aftermath. It is finished on some important level. It is time for it to stop and go do something else. It is time for you to stop and go do something else. Let it go.

Wednesday Leo Moon offers a bit of brightness upon awakening. Venus is sextile to Saturn so she’s working hard with the Lord of Time to get her emotions in check particularly because she knows it would be a nurturing love that is needed. Venus is in an argument with Jupiter as the demands of the collective argue with her desire to just go home and stay there. There is harsh news all around as quite a few planets argue with each other. Better to live in the moment and not to worry so much. You can’t do much of anything but get through this with your head held high. Remember we are at the tail end of the eclipse season AND the nodes AND we have two pages of aspects, including some mighty difficult ones. Give yourself time and space to adjust to do what you need to do. Today is all about adjust, adjust, adjust. And More adjust. Destiny is destiny. They can’t take away your destiny. Don’t let them take away your dream. Don’t let them rain on your parade.

Thursday has a New Moon bright and early. Make sure to read the New Moon report on this web site for more information on how to work with the energy. Moon is quite productive today after the New Moon as she trines Pluto and pushes us all to be better focused and keeping our eye on the ball, goal or dream. Move towards it today. Sun joins with Mars and Mars joins with the nodes by declination causing lots of action and movement in the world. Today they are not telling the truth. Whatever you hear is not the truth. They think that is better some how. It isn’t but they don’t know what else to do. Have pity on them. Recognize it is the cosmos moving us all along. Neptune wants you to partner with a new person who is better for you or more in line with what you are attempting to accomplish. Say yes, with a qualifier or condition. They will take it. Things need to get cleaned up and they think you can do it. Venus is feeling unappreciated, unloved and unwanted as well as kind of blindsided by the early attack she didn’t anticipate. Be kind to her. Show her how she can adjust to fit the situation. Adjust. Adjust.

Friday Mercury is opposite Uranus so expect shocking news about the events that took place earlier in the week. Now we are ready to talk about them as Mercury faces off with Uranus. Might be a bit of shouting and yelling. The nodes change signs at 1:47 pm EDT ~ watch for the shift. It will be apparent. Just look at the world around you and watch as the dissolve shifts from ME/WE to time to take care of business.

Saturn’s day brings Venus a bit of an opportunity to move toward her dream, provided she is willing to adjust. Adjust. Adjust. Adjust and one more adjust for good measure. Wrapped in all the adjustments are some nice aspects and maybe even an unexpected gift or two. Sun enters Virgo so we officially begin the mutable part of the summer season. Where did it go? The story still isn’t being told truthfully. Unfortunately, you need to cut it off and move on (if you haven’t already). No worries. You’ll be fine. You did learn. The experience was to learn and figure out a new way of being and doing in the world. That accomplished, you are now finished with the last bits and on your way.

Sunday Moon in Libra gets us a bit more balance. The principle of supporting someone whose done good things for you is fine. Venus is extra busy today and can overspend or over do. That is a good thing after such a rough week emotionally. Mercury is fighting with Saturn ~ sometimes you NEED TO LEAVE IT ALONE and stop talking. Talking isn’t going to solve this one. Behavior change is what is needed. Siblings and communications can be a bit over the top. If you love it, get it for yourself. Even if it costs too much. Mercury knows the exact way to set it up and have it mean the world to you. Sun trines Pluto offering enormous power and grace under pressure. Give into your dream. Start to move toward changing your section of the world to support that dream of yours. No letting anyone stand in your way any more. Life is too short to waste. Take action to partner with yourself to get what you want. It is time. You are ready. It IS your dream after all.

Sun Spots are up to 50,000 miles wide (Back and forth from NYC to San Francisco 18 times or around the world at the equator twice. Darn Big!). In humans, they cause an increase in metabolism, erratic behavior, and makes people more energetic or irritated. There are increases in mental hospital admissions & industrial accidents when Sun spot activity is high as well as documented impacts on electrical grids, climate, weather, agricultural and commodity markets and economic cycles.

Solar Flares come in cycles which vary from 9 to 13 years.. There can be as few as 6 spots during minimum years to many hundreds of spots in the maximum flare years. Humans have been recording sun spot cycles since 1755. We are starting into cycle 24 right now

A. L. Tchijevsky was a Russian Professor of Astronomy and Biological Physics. He spent 30 years in prison for his work on Sun spots because it went against Marxist doctrine. Tchijevsky noted there were particularly severe battles following solar flares in 1916-17. Intrigued, he studied each year from 500 BC to 1922 AD, investigating 72 countries and the events taking place in them. He noted that fully 80% of significant historical events occurred during maximum solar flare activity.

According to Tchijevsky, the following pattern of solar flares were observed.

Period 1 ~ Peace/Repression ~ 3 years Minimum sunspots: peace, lack of unity, election of conservatives, minority rule. 1995-1997. 2007 to 2009.

Period 2 ~ Increase ~ 2 years Increasing activity: new leaders rise, new ideas & challenges to the elite. 1998-1999. 2010 to 2011.

Period 3 ~ Maximum Activity ~ 3 years Maximum excitability, election of liberals or radicals, mass demonstrations, riots, revolutions, & wars, 2000-2003. 2012 to 2015.

Period 4 ~ Decrease ~ 3 years decrease in excitability, masses apathetic, see peace. 2004 -2006. 2016 to 2018.

Unless the excessive profits are removed from the system with a solid program that actually encourages and fosters competition, the reforms will be fairly meaningless. Why are we having unregulated capitalism ruin the health care system. Didn’t we see what it did to the banks?

Eunice Shriver, one of the last of her generation of Kennedy’s passed away and was buried last week. Her Brother Ted Kennedy was too sick to attend her funeral. The Mercury and Mars aspects to Uranus suggest he may pass this week or before the Saturn/Uranus opposition in early September. Mars in Gemini rules siblings and separations as well as accidents . He has Uranus in Aries in his third house receiving an aspect from transiting Saturn.

Weekly Weather August 10, 2009

The eclipses are leaving! The eclipses are leaving!

The quicksand feeling of an emotional quagmire where you are stuck, stuck, stuck, unable to move and mired in muck will start to dissipate during the week ahead. You’ll get your mojo back! You’ll get your life back! The profound up and down of emotions will start to settle down. All the changes wrought by the eclipses will start to calm down into the next phase of routine life. Or at least “new routines” will form around you as you start the next chapter of your life. We aren’t “technically” finished with the eclipses until August 18 but the bulk of the energy and changes are finished. Our lives will start to settle down.

In the week ahead, Mars in Gemini clears his closing square, block and stops hearing the word “NO” from Saturn. Mars starts to move forward again with a revised clarity. It is time to psychologically integrate the actions and changes that started around and in your Virgo house in July 2008 as Mars forms and leaves his closing square to Saturn.

Mars in Gemini means you’ll be arguing, taking action or making changes on rules papers, siblings, cars, bills, phones, computers, communications, childhood beliefs, the period from age 0 to 8^th grade, cousins, the neighbors, duality, arguments and not always telling the truth. Or at least not telling ALL of the truth ALL of the time. Truth is SO open to interpretation when Mars is in Gemini ~ not really but Mars in Gemini wants you to THINK it is open to interpretation. Mars in Gemini tells the truth that matches what Mars in Gemini wants! Facts can be left out.

When Mars is in Gemini we bring the energy of the Lord of WAR and aggression to bear on the all things ruled by Gemini. It can be a bit difficult but the point is to remember it is TIME to fight for what you think is important. Time to stand for or against a belief. Time to swing back and forth between two points and attempt to see how to make them go side by side and work together. Where are they from the same FAMILY? Where are they different? With Mars in Gemini we find that union point and argue about it. Make sure to tell the truth as Saturn is watching! You’ll get caught if you fib! Or at least your fib will be exposed for the misinformation it contains.

At the same time, Mercury, ruler of Mars in Gemini, has a number of clarifying aspects with various planets all week long. So gather up all the information you hear. Make a long list. Understand it is PART of the Process, NOT the final product. Nothing is locked in stone yet. No deals are signed yet. Negotiations continue. Gemini is about the duality and the details. Doubles of every thing abound. Incremental change is what we are talking about here. Saturn is still in Virgo so the details are open to change, mutations and revisiting as the Virgo process is pushed, pulled, revised and finalized.

The members of the Gang of Three ~ Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron are very busy all week in various conversations with the personal planets. Mars and the Sun are talking with Jupiter and Chiron. Mercury and Venus are talking with the Neptune and Uranus. Venus includes Jupiter in her week. For the most part, the aspects are harmonious, information giving and clarifying. Ask away. Go for information. Remember Mars in Gemini might push for his agenda but the REST of the sky is supportive of questions.

Sun is opposite and soon to separate from the gang members so he (and we) finally gain some clarity on what is ACTUALLY going on and going to happen. The Gang of Three also ask us to make ourselves a bit uncomfortable and adjust how we partner, join, fight with or marry ourselves and others particularly around matters of home and hearth. If we want a different outcome, we have to change how WE behave. They are not going to change. They might change if we change and they have to adjust. But WE have to change first. We can’t stand stomping our feet and demanding they change (however satisfying that might feel). It ain’t going to happen. They like what they are doing. It is satisfying to THEM to have it that way. No need, as far as they are concerned, for a modification in their behavior. You are the one with the problem with them? You have to change.

As I type that last paragraph, I am reminded of my eclipse story and attendant household dramas. The eclipses all took place in my 6^th house of daily routines, employees, health, work and pets. The work, employees, health and routine changes I managed to handle with a fair amount of grace if not as efficiently, promptly or thoroughly as I would have liked. The pets were another matter entirely! I recently added a kitten into a house of old farts, me and my two cats, Handsome, elderly, and Max, age 8.

I’ve observed we three old farts sleep a lot and don‘t do very much but lay around the house or work at home. Remoh, the new kitten, is an Aries, with Mercury and Venus in Aries, a Scorpio Moon and Mars in Pisces joined to Uranus. He has an entirely different agenda. He doesn’t sleep. Life is an adventure. The world is a giant cat toy. He runs. He gallops. He hunts. His favorite past time is attacking the other two cats. I’ve been yelling (a lot.) I‘ve tried water pistols ~ he‘s fast and zig zags. I tried crating him when he attacks the other cats. After a few days of getting put into the crate, he walked across the room and “crated” himself when I yelled “No. No. Stop. Stop.”

Yes, Remoh actually walked himself into the crate! He turned around in the crate, sat down and looked at me as if to say “Okay, I am in the crate. Now lock it.” I was stunned and speechless. He is darned smart! Nothing I’ve tried has stopped Remoh from attacking the other two cats.

Of course, Remoh IS an Aries. Aries do like to fight. Of course, Remoh is a kitten. Kittens do like to play. Of course, we are a bunch of old farts, lying around the house, waiting for Remoh to grow up and grow out of attacking. Of course, I am a Virgo and a frigging astrologer trying to get an Aries to stop fighting. I should know better! I do know better! I’ve lost my mind thinking I can stop an Aries from doing what he wants to do! Yet, I shudder every time Remoh takes a flying leap onto Max’s back with his nails out. And Mars, the planet of sibling rivalry and fights between siblings, is in Gemini for another 16 days! Ah astrology. You have to love it.

So I am looking forward to this week’s adjust yourself and your surroundings aspect to see how to change the patterns, relationships and partnerships that aren’t working for me!

Think back on the eclipse energy. What came to light to make you go “Oh I don’t want to do THAT any more!” or “Never again.” or “Mmmm, it does not seem to be working for me any more….” You get to figure out how to adjust YOUR SELF and YOUR BEHAVIOR to get to a new place. I’ll report in on the changes in my house. Right now it feels hopeless and I feel helpless but change is coming! Change is coming this week! Gotta love astrology! The solution arrives this week! Clarity will appear!

Monday Moon in Aries starts the week off with a bang and probably a few arguments. Mars squares Saturn today so the world is full of giant NO dancing all over the place. Pluto pushes at the patterns or strategies and asks us to change our focus. When I was in sales, a training series said to take NO as a stepping stone to yes. Every person has statistics ~ 10 NO-s are needed before you get a YES. Don’t get discouraged if you get a bunch of NO-s today. You are getting closer to a YES. And look at the NATURE of the NO. How can you adjust it to make YES more possible. Jupiter is arguing with home and habits. You have to adjust your home and what goes on there. I imagine the cat fights will be severe so that means I need to exhaust Remoh by playing with him? Hmmm. Well the answer comes soon. What do you need to adjust in YOUR world to get to YES! YES! YES!

Tuesday has more Moon in Aries with a closing aspect of a sextile to Neptune ~ so the dream is alive even as you are fighting hard for it to take place. Moon has a number of very positive aspects to the planets in Air ~ accelerating and whooshing their energy high ~ push forward. Push for yes. Ask again (Mars is separating from Mr. NO Saturn). Ask for a slight variation. Tweak it a bit. Doesn’t need a complete redo ~ only a fiddle and fix. Mercury joins with the Node so watch for important connections or people to arrive in your life. Pallas and Juno are arguing ~ the pattern or process needs to be revised. If it IS, all things flow well with it. Love, desires and money can all expand if the right connections are made as Venus speculates with Jupiter and expands every thing. Mercury organizes the home or office nest with a flair today. Thing have to get moving and get out the door. Great day to do that and launch stuff. Stranger partnerships have happened. Go for yes!

Wednesday Sun has an aspect of brilliance to Uranus and Mercury makes an important connection. Moon in Taurus is largely quiet today but indulging in things that make her feel good. Great day for a facial, massage or beautification project.

Thursday has more Taurus Moon but is romping and busy as Moon discusses, argues, thinks and has sound ideas with the Gang of Three. Again a fabulous day to get stuff out the door as the closing aspect is good. Or to pitch ideas or revisions to ideas. Mars trines Jupiter in Air making it a PRODUCTIVE IDEA that will go far once all the pieces are in place. Mercury‘s aspect to Neptune suggests the idea may be too big or not exactly clear but do start on it anyway. Don‘t stop because you don‘t know exactly HOW. Just push the energy a bit and others will have the solution or idea that helps it move along. Taurus Moons can freeze in the face of needing to take immediate action. Put the don’t knows in a list and work on the do knows. There is a need to change how you partner with someone. Watch your own stuff as it can come dripping out all over them. They don’t need you dripping on them.

Friday Sun argues with Jupiter ~ again an aspect with possible overdoing but also supportive of expansion and change. Jupiter in Aquarius can be gassy and over blown ~ thinking he knows everything. Sun in Leo looks right through that bluster to see the real deal. Brilliance with a lack of follow through? Arrogance but no basis? Not sure but do look closely at those people who are telling you how to live your life and what to do. Moon in Gemini gives a back and forth energy to the day. There is a fabulous strategic idea or person that arrives today that will help you negotiate the patterns or strategies ahead. Juno is opposite Ceres so the partnering and parenting energies are fighting. Venus has a brilliant idea as she’s leaving for the day when she chats with Jupiter. Make sure to write it down so you don’t forget it ~ something about desire, money, beauty and connections that support nurturing and expansion.

Saturn’s day, Mars trines Chiron wound about how well we fit into a given group is active. We are in the mood to fight with our siblings or side by side relationships. No we do not want to be the Smart one any more! We WANT to be the Athletic one! We WANT to be the Pretty one or the Popular one! Part of the energy of today is to take a look at how you “label” yourself. Look at how others name or label you or your behavior. Do you still want that label? If not, today is a great day to take steps to change it up. What is your new vision for yourself? It is not a great date night as Mars at the late degrees of Gemini makes for squabble fighting energy as he fights with the Moon or misses connections or directions. Unless you LIKE to fight with partner ~ then it is a great date night ~ complete with make up sex. People can break up tonight for good. Remember we are at the back end of the eclipses and still releasing all that eclipse energy?!

Sunday’s Moon in Cancer makes the home and hearth a focus ~ as well as feelings. Moon opposes Pluto so triangles and power struggles can arise quickly and seemingly out of no where. All old emotions that are being trigger. Moon is back in Cancer, where the eclipses took place last month so she’s clearing out the left over energies from them. Venus has great dreams last night so make sure to note them upon awakening even if you don’t understand the symbolism completely. It was an unusual trip in your sleep with expansion and change part of the key words. You have to do that too! Sun opposes Chiron so you can wake up with sadness or hurt but move through it. Mercury is pushing on Venus asking you to talk to people who are supportive of you rather than the difficult ones. Mars has a biquintile aspect to the Node bringing a brilliant idea, action or solution to the fore front of your brain. Make sure to do it, even if it requires adjusting something you thought was finished. Uranus separates from the partner energy. Again relationships can end under this aspect. Venus WANTS to partner but Uranus is rebellious. Change your behavior and change your life.

Mundane: The Health Care craziness will start to dissipate soon as the planets start to move apart. The Gang of Three is what is making people so crazy, irrational, wild and fearful as Chiron, wounded by health matters, is expanded by Jupiter and Neptune. Saturn in Virgo doesn‘t help matters either as Virgo rules the health care industry and he amps up the “fear of change” energy.

Mars in Gemini square Saturn in Virgo is the request by the White House to send them emails containing “facts” about the health care bill. I think that is a completely fascinating manifestation of the square! I want to know what is the true and what is not so true. I want to look at what you are being told to see the distortions in the “truth”. Admittedly with these aspects, there is a lot we are NOT hearing. There is a lot we are hearing that is true. And there is a lot that is not so true ~ distorted to fit the desires of Mars in Gemini ~ say one thing, do another. Check the motives. There is much we are hearing that is twisted to fit the facts the person or institution speaking wants you to believe.

I most enjoyed watching the FOX news anchors cover THAT “send us the emails” request from the White House. They were completely hysterical! Big Brother Government is going to get you via your emails. Of course, the same folks at FOX were silent on the warrant less wiretapping of phones and emails by the Bushies but hey you have to pick your battles. That said, it is time to be nervous is if you get a correction email from the White House! <wink>

It is looking like the first Saturn Uranus opposition last fall was THE major collapse and correction of the Stock markets. We’ll have another mini-correction in early September between the 11^th and 18^th. If things continue along quietly through then, it will be safe to GRADUALLY get back into the stock market after the 18^th of September. Again, continue to preserve principle and money that you need to live on in conservative vehicles.

I've heard that it's not good to start things while the moon is void, but how can we implement that in a practical way? Do we really just pause until each void moon has passed? That seems like an awful lot of down time. Thoughts?

Anne: Void moons are actually pretty cool. And, yes, you ARE supposed to kick back during void moons!

If the Moon, who rules the functioning of virtually every single thing on the earth, including the tides of the ocean, is on vacation, why should you argue? You might as well join up with her! Kick back, relax, sit a spell. Nothing you are going to do will flow the way you would like it to flow. No use trying to schedule, organize or be busy in the world when Moon is off the clock and void.

Appointments will be delayed or postponed if scheduled on a void moon. It feels like you are struggling against a slow moving riptide going the other way. Once the moon goes direct again, the world gets back on schedule. My favorite ways to teach void moons is to pay attention to the significant delays at your airport, traffic jams or during rush hours. Void moons 90% of the time!

Void moons are great for meditation, yoga, astrology readings, contemplation, napping, resting, doing mundane, routine or meditative work like washing laundry, cleaning, filing, or clearing out piles. They are NOT so good for grocery shopping as you are actually getting NEW food that will not be used the way you planned when you bought it. You’ll eat out all week and the food will go bad. Void moons are not good for starting NEW stuff that you actually WANT to have happen. The Moon is missing. It won’t go the way you’ve planned.

We are going to be entering a period of with LOTS and LOTS of LONG void moon periods as Pluto in early Capricorn will soon be joined by Saturn in early Libra and Jupiter in early Pisces. Lots of planets in early degrees means lots of Void Moons!

Void moons happen every 2 to 3 days as the Moon moves through all 12 signs of the zodiac in the course of a lunar month. She makes a closing Ptolemaic aspect, conjunction, trine, sextile, opposition or square, to the last planet from the late degrees of the sign she is in. Then the Moon “goes void” ~ meaning she has no further aspects in that sign until she enters the next sign. From the end of the last aspect in the old sign until she enters the new sign, we say the Moon is Void. She might enter the next sign in a few seconds, minutes, hours or even days. At times like this with a number of planets in early degrees of the zodiac and over the fall into next spring, we are going to have LOTS of LONG Void moons.

Weekly Weather August 3, 2009

Our last eclipse is here! Our last eclipse is here! After this Wednesday, we are finished with all the changes that this profound set of eclipses brought into our lives.

Think of the changes that have arrived in your life and the lives of folks you know since the eclipse season began June 22, 2009! This week and next we wrap the eclipse season all up and finalize the changes they‘ve brought to us. So an exciting, sad, or mix of both eclipsed conclusions takes place this and next week as the last full moon pulse of illumination takes place and fades away. We will pull in the story from last late October and early November 2008 to help clarify things. You can even go back to 1965 to 1966 if you are older. Many of the changes from the eclipse season are tied to the part of your life that started to change back last fall or to the events that took place in the mid-60s. The cycle of life continues. And we grow a bit wiser as it does.

I’ve heard a quite few “never agains” from the person sitting across the table or speaking over the phone line during the past six weeks. Watch that NEVER AGAIN energy quite carefully. Eclipses bring things to light so we SEE it in a way we never had before. Don’t Never Again to deny YOURSELF of something you deeply want. Do Never Again to old behaviors that came to light which don‘t serve you any more. There is a difference. Notice it.

What is the Never Again you’ve been saying to yourself? Ok, now detach it from the person you’ve attached it to. I will NEVER AGAIN xyz with that person. That person was an energy in your chart, designed to be a fabulous experience, teacher and teachable moment in a great manner, by you and the desire of your soul to grow and experience things. Do you have the NEVER AGAIN detached from them? I don’t care how much you think they are the cause. It is YOUR chart ~ they are an actor in YOUR life. Detach it.

Next detach the NEVER AGAIN from you. You didn’t do anything wrong. You aren’t a bad person. You don’t deserve to be treated like this. However, you are an actor in THEIR story too. You are part of THEIR chart to help them get clear on what they are supposed to do and experience in this life time. Whether they get the lesson and learn from it is not your job. You’ve done your job by being in their life. You don’t need to stay here. Don’t give up on the idea of lesson you were for them. Make sure you remember the point of the NEVER AGAIN. It’ll keep you on your path.

The eclipses in Leo and Aquarius help us see how we are both the witnesses and the performers in our own life. Leo is the sign where we want to shine. Aquarius is where we sit and watch in a detached manner, where the audience is. What is a performer without an audience? What is an audience without a performance to watch? Take the NEVER AGAIN story from your life. Make it into an audience/ performer story. Can you reimagine it as a play happening before your eyes instead of actually happening in your life? What would you tell each of the characters in the play? What does each character learn as a result of the story? What would you say to your friend and fellow audience member as you sit over coffee and dessert post performance and chat about what you saw and experienced?

Whatever happened under the eclipses was designed to move you forward with a new understanding of your life. So if you were dumped, don’t swear to never love again. Look at what being dumped brought up emotionally in your life. If you realized something profound about yourself because you were dumped, don’t discard the knowledge in shame or dismay. Own it and love it. That profound realization is important to your future path. And swearing to NEVER AGAIN love is NOT the solution! The solution is TO LOVE AGAIN. Love again with the knowledge that this experience brought you as part of the fabric of your life.

If your family member is acting badly, don’t vow to never speak with them again. Look at the emotions their behavior brings up in you. Is it similar to other situations that have taken place in your life at earlier times? What did you used to do? Do you still want to do that? The answer here probably is no, not anymore but it might be yes. Your call. Don’t vow to never again speak with your family member. Understand what you are trying to learn from the family experience and take THAT forward with you. It is part of you path and definitely what you signed up to learn.

The NEVER AGAIN energy is flying around. So if some one says NEVER AGAIN to you, encourage them (gently or they might punch you in your nose) to understand THEIR role in the story as well as the reason behind it.

If you were trying to be a good step-mother to the child of your new husband and his ex-wife had trouble with you buying things for his daughter, look to see how your current experience is the mirror reflection of that earlier experience. Look at your emotions as your child has gifts and clothing bought for her by your ex-husband’s new wife. The universe teaches us with examples and repetition. It is a giant ball of experiences rolling around and around.

Eclipses are volatile emotionally but so very, very clearing.

Our week ahead has the eclipse on Wednesday at 8:55 pm EDT so those of us on the east coast of the USA will be able to watch the full moon turn blood red just after sunset in the eastern sky. Mercury has piles of aspects so he’s going to be busy, busy, busy bringing enlightenment to each of us. Juno stations to go retrograde in Aries and Ceres enters Libra so there can be quite a bit of turbulence around the feminine energy. Expect it.

We are almost done. Just a bit more to go. Pace yourself. Give yourself extra time and space to process, sleep and be by yourself. Eclipses are also exhausting so focus on your vision of what you want.

Monday Moon in Capricorn brings a serious energy to the mix as we try to move forward guided by Saturn in Virgo. We are finishing up our apprentice time and getting ready for prime time and going out into the world in a brand new way. Nice closing aspects make it a good day to get things out into the world. Mercury helps you see your patterns clearly and, MORE IMPORTANTLY, understand where they come from. Ceres enters Libra so we can balance our partnership energy with a bit of peace and quiet if we choose. Neptune has a TERRIFIC idea about the housing or home of something. Practice, practice is how we get comfortable with some thing. Today, we realize we have a gift for it and a flair. Still we need the practice to make it feel like it is our own. There is a bit of a break through emotionally today. Just ride the feelings and see what you see. Never again.

Tuesday Saturn works with Vesta to make yesterday’s idea a reality. We have a LONG void moon that is delicious for pushing things already begun forward towards their conclusion. It is a good follow up on things day without looking for final conclusion. A do-bee day as we Virgos like to say ~ do this, do that, be busy as a bee ~ a do-bee. Nothing will come of NEW things begun today but follow ups are fine and encouraged. Venus squares Juno so don’t be afraid to ask for what you want to partner with OR to say you DON’T want to partner with it any more. Never again. If you understand WHY you chose the person to have the experience with you will be halfway done. Understand what you brought to the person too. Make sure to SEE the PATTERNS in the repetition. Understand the patterns. You are NOT STUCK with the patterns forever. You don’t have to have the same patterns. You can change your behavior which automatically changes their patterns.

Wednesday is our lovely FULL MOON eclipse on 13:43 of the Leo /Aquarius axis. We will each be witnesses to some performance. We will each be performers for some audience. Mercury will bring shocking news that requires adjustments, adjustments, adjustments. There is a lot of feminine energy active in this eclipse chart so the emotions will be running VERY, VERY high. There is a volatile cardinal cross in the lunation chart making it virtually impossible to take action. If you do take action or find yourself shouting NEVER AGAIN, do remember to breath! We will release a bit of our solar or ego energy today ~ or perhaps lose a man or light in our life. Read the full moon report on this site for more information.

Thursday, Pluto has an ending energy to the nurturing part of us as he squares Ceres, bringing an ending to whatever we’ve been nurturing deep in our heart. Mercury realizes he is finished here. The lesson is learned or not learned. The information has been delivered. Hopefully, we are each wiser with each and every day. Look at your Never again with a critic’s eye. Is it believable? Is it do able? Does it feel a bit like a reality TV show? Is it what you want in your future? What part or role will it play in your life? Where does it or you need to be?

Friday we mourn and release. Good closing aspects for letting things go out of our lives. Venus is talking to both Saturn and Jupiter ~ the principles of contraction and expansion. As something leaves, new things appear to fill in the void. Neptune has a gift of brilliance with what nurtures us and makes us feel connected. Mercury and Venus chat about how things are going ~ Mercury ever helpful offers the sensitive Venus a few great ideas about love and life. Siblings or people who are easy for you to talk to are quite helpful. Read something or talk to someone who inspires you about the ever changing flow of life.

Saturn’s day tears. Rain. Sorrows. Mercury is contraparallel Neptune which causes ideas and things to rapidly expand past the point of where they want to be. Open up the triangles to reduce their power ~ two against one is not a good energy. Include all three members of the triangle to get the most productive energy available. Venus is deeply hurt by Chiron’s careless words. Remember that Gang of three is famous for not realizing what it is saying and how it looks to the outside world. It is a PROJECTION energy ~ meaning the person says TO YOU what THEIR ISSUE is. And you know it. They may not. Watch for projection. Give their projection back to them. Or let it drift away or dissolve back into Neptune’s energy.

Sunday features ANOTHER day long void moon in Pisces with a releasing energy. Release, release. Mars joins with Vesta to spurt a sudden burst of energy to clear things out of your life. Let them go. Juno stations in Aries to go backwards. Partnerships shift and change under this energy. You can change even if they don’t change. If you change, they will eventually change. Mercury fights with Mars ~ oh we SO don’t like that ~ slam a door (inside your head) and vow NEVER AGAIN. Understand it as a teaching moment. Your very own Scarlet O’Hara moment! Declare, out loud, “I will never be xyz again!” That is your eclipse lesson. It isn’t about the other guy. It is about you. They just taught you something important that you needed to learn. Learn the lesson and you don’t have to do it any more. Believe you can learn the lesson. You HAVE learned it because you are saying “I will never again xyZ!” Detach it from the person. Own it. It is YOUR lesson. And thus the eclipse season has done its work on your soul and your evolution!

Mundane: What a bad time for me to take a vacation from the Mundane section!

Racial Profiling, the Beer Summit and Judge Sotomayor’s nomination were brought to light by the eclipses and are sources for our country’s ongoing conversation on gender, race, bias, sexism and racism in the United States during the eclipse season. Saturn and Uranus‘s ongoing opposition show us how far we‘ve come since 1965 to 1968 as well as how far we still have to go before we get to where we are going.

Because the eclipses are all about bringing things to light, we each got to see, in a new and different light, racial, gender and our own biases. I even re-evaluated putting all Republicans in one big pile of mean uncaring people. There ARE nice, warm and friendly Republicans who care about our country as much as I do.

Watching Pat Buchanan shout at Rachel Maddow about how the country was built 100% by white men, founded 100% by white men, 100% of white men fought and died for it and thus they should stay in charge was jaw dropping. Even the normally calm and poised Rachel lost it (which was kind of fun to watch) when she snapped at Pat that she didn’t need him to lecture her about working class people. Pat seemed to have forgotten slavery and history of immigrant labor of Chinese, Spanish, indentured servants and migrants in his excitement about a Hispanic woman being nominated for the Supreme Court.

Having Rachel say to Pat 108 of 110 Justices were White and 108 of 100 Justices were Male was eye opening for me. Where’s the 51% of the Women that make up the country’s population represented on the Court? And, as a fairly strong Feminist listening the Senators pontificate about her sexism I was shouting at them (they couldn’t hear me) about theirs.

I live in New York City where at least once a year we have a minority undercover police officer shot by another police officer. We did under this eclipse season. We frequently have an unarmed minority shot by the police. The police motto is better a jury of 12 than 6 pall bearers. Racial profiling exists and is alive and well. That said, I have absolutely no idea how police do the work they do OR if I was faced with the possibility of being shot that I wouldn’t pull the trigger too.

It seems the eclipses were about asking us to walk a mile or two in the other guy’s moccasins. Or at least to be aware that they MIGHT have a different point of view from you.

Now, further enlightened by what we‘ve learned under the eclipses, we get to go through the last eclipse and the upcoming third opposition of Saturn to Uranus. Our thinking is evolving. That is always a good thing. Make sure to watch and see what you see! It IS true! Evolve. Evolve. Evolve!

Let’s take the Gates/Crowley/Obama “teachable moment” of the Beer summit and apply the NEVER AGAIN example above to that story.

What would be the Never Again to deny your SELF of some thing they deeply want? What would be the Never Do Again to old behaviors that came to light which don‘t serve them any more? There is a difference. Notice it.

What is the Never Again which you imagine they’ve been saying to themselves? Ok, now detach it from each of them. Professor Gates would detach it form the person he’s attached it to. He will NEVER AGAIN xyz with Officer Crowley. Officer Crowley was an energy in his chart, designed to be a fabulous experience, teacher and teachable moment in a great manner.

Ok, now detach it from the other person. Officer Crowley will NEVER AGAIN xyz with Professor Gates. Professor Gates was an energy in his chart, designed to be a fabulous experience, teacher and teachable moment in a great manner.

Do you have the NEVER AGAIN detached from both of them? I don’t care how much you think one or the other is the cause. It is YOUR chart ~ they are actors in YOUR life. Detach it.

Next in your mind help them detach the NEVER AGAIN energy from each other.

Detach the NEVER AGAIN from both of them. Neither of them did anything wrong. Neither of them are bad people. Neither of them deserved to be treated like this. However, they were actors in OUR story. We were part of THEIR chart to help them get clear on what they are supposed to do and experience in this life time. They were in our chart to help us get clear on what we are supposed to do and experience in this lifetime. Whether they get the lesson is not your job or worry. You’ve done your job. You don’t need to stay here. But don’t give up on the idea. Keep the detachment.

See how the eclipses light up things?

The gang of three, Neptune, Jupiter and Chiron are the cause for the craziness about the proposed changes to the health care system in the United States. All of them are on the USA Aquarius Moon making us confused and unclear.

My position point on health care is crystal clear ~ why are we allowing corporations to profit off of our illnesses? Why can they profit by denying us care? Take the profit out of the system. Or at least put in something that encourages the profit to be reduced via competition. The health care companies need a bit of competition. And I mean HEALTHY competition such as a public option. People don’t have to sign up for it, they get it. The fire department comes to put out their fire. The police respond when they call. Their children can get an education as a member of society. Why wouldn’t health care be part of that package of benefits of being a member of this society?

For example, if we had universal health care, we wouldn’t have to have such exorbitantly priced malpractice insurance. The health needs and care of any injured person would be covered for life. Think of the cost savings?! That alone ~ no huge malpractice insurance fees, no fear of litigation on the doctor’s part, no lawyers suing and profiting would reduce the costs in the system.

One Health Insurance Company executive was paid $1,700,000,000 in annual salary. That is 8,500,000 mammograms at $200 a piece. One guy’s work FOR ONE YEAR is worth 8.5 million mammograms? Please! Do you SEE why the health care industry is fighting these changes so vigorously?
